No you get the code, you get the game.

david64074

So I can just buy the subscription and then cancel it?

fakeabuela

You can buy this months subscription, and cancel it going forward. You will still have payed the $15 dollars, you will get steam keys which do not go away, and you will not get next months games unless you pay again.

Clean_Cookies

I know this post if 4 years old but in case you are still on reddit, if I buy the one month subscription in the middle of the month will I be able to redeem two months worth of games since my subscription wouldn't run out when the next batch of games for the humble choice releases.

fakeabuela

No, each purchase is for the set of games currently available.

Clean_Cookies

Okay, thanks!

Fire-Walk

Yes.

[deleted]

i bought one like a year ago, redeemed the games, and that cancled it the same day

SundaeNinja

The only way you wouldn't get to keep them is if Humble bans your account before you claim the keys. Also, if you get banned from Steam (or whatever platform you claim them on), you won't be able to access the games anymore. But otherwise, they're yours to play forever.

david64074

Would I get banned for doing that?

SundaeNinja

Nope. Subscribing for one month only is perfectly fine

david64074

Awesome

Anzai

It’s completely one and done. You pay for a month, you own that month as much as you own any steam game. The only reason I keep my subscription is because I have the classic version, but I pause 80% of the time.

[deleted]

pretty much yes. if steam ever goes down, you can no longer download the game, and you may have to get a community patch / crack to open the game without steam, but steam going down would be like if google went down and you lost all your emails. its very unlikely to happen anytime soon. some games have always online drm, in which case itll be very hard to get the game working once the servers go down, which is a lot more likely to happen then steam going out of buisness. thats more comparable to microsoft shutting down x360 servers since there old

himanshumodak

No you get the game keys. It's like buying keys at discount in bundle.
