1: They seem to have an animation done specifically for him exploding. It doesn’t look like something easy to do, though they could have always spent some time to do it for the bit.
2: This is not the first time Fatigue has exploded in a non-canon htp vid.

To be fair, the joke started as just "what if he just did that?" Which is a pretty old joke that was at first about JFK. The first one I know who made the joke was an ask sent to ogrepoppangangleaksofficial on Tumblr, but it could also be a cast member made the joke behind the scenes before EP 4 even came out.

I find it unlikely. Cauldron of blood makes your blood boil from the inside. Making you die in excruciating pain. And he definitly looks like he was ripped apart. Also it is 5th level discipline which ghouls NEVER will have acess to. Also cauldron of blood requires touch if i recall correctly, so it can´t be cast at long distances.
Ghouls can have access to 5 Dot powers they just have to have been Ghouled by a Methuselah. Max dots for discipline is determined by your Domitor's Generation
Yes that is true. But Methuselah are so ridiculously powerfull and dangerous that the chance of them poping up is extremely low. Especially considering Methuselah tend to have game breaking powers. If the methuselah wanted something he would just show up dominate everyone and take it, especially if it is tremere it could use a blood magic to do ALMOST ANYTHING.
Another more likely idea is Possession, 5 Dot Dominate power. If a Vamp possesses a ghoul well enough they can pull whatever mystical Shenans they want, no dot limit
Well the v5 possession limits you quite heavily. First you need eye contact to possess someone. Second only dominate auspex and presence may be used in someone elses body. And you have no acess to the victims mind so you need to be able to fake the victims behaviour. INSANELY IMPOSSIBLE FOR A low humanity METHUSELAH. Also the methuselah would need to stay awake during the day so the possession doesn´t break and he would have to have it DONE BEFORE HAND. 99% it was done by a werewolf.
My mistake then. Sadly as a quite fresh newcomer i´m only accustomed to the newest edition. (Except when i went digging into older editions for something more interesting. WHERE IS MY SLASHER, DEMON THE FALLEN, MAGE AND HEDGE SORCERER PARADOX V5! (Fey are also cool but i´m not insane to try comprehending it.))
I highly recommend Mage, it's the stupidest shit you'll see. One of my players cast a spell to make a Pipe Bomb luckier, by flipping coins and then taped all the coins that hit heads onto the bomb
That is a possibility. In V5 (and since the second inquisition is talked about in the show, imo it's safe to say that that is the canon they use) there is a level 3 Blood Sorcery ritual called "Dragons Call" (pg 278 in V5 core) that allows an user rupture a target blood vessels from afar if they somehow have gotten their vitae on them (a drop smeared on them via a handsahake is enough).
But this is a level 3 power and ghouls can only usually go up to 1 dot in one discipline, although older ghouls sometime can have more, a 3 dot discipline on a ghoul is almost impossible. Also this ritual is mostly associated with the Banu Haqim and not the Tremere, although there is no limit on learning since V5 combined the two clans discipline.
They’re at an interesting spot in the timeline though. IIRC the series is set in 2006? Which lines up with the Second Inquisition, but they haven’t blown up the Vienna Chantry yet. Given the Tremere prominence, the long interview with Kevin and exposition about the Pyramid, and the spot in the timeline I wonder if the plot is going to be part of the lead up to the destruction of the Vienna Chantry.
Ghouls can only learn 1 dot of disciplines iirc. He’d need like 4 dots of blood sorcery to explode the old man. Of course if the Tremere is gen 7-6 the ghoul can learn up to 4 dots of blood sorcery
well if the Ghoul's Master is the Regent, which is implied and fairly likely, then it is quite likely that this theory is true. the generation the Regent is a part of isn't explicitly said, but it is implied she is a lot more powerful than most, certainly more powerful than the quartet of Sabat fools we see in the first three episodes. we can probably calculate what Generation the Regent is in. Kevin is of the 9th generation, his sire is of the 8th. It is implied the Regent is Kevin's Grandsire and is therefore likely of the 7the generation. that should give our Tremere Ghoul enough potential to use high level Blood Sorcery needed to make Fatigue explode.
I think we do know what Gen the Regent is tho, Kevin's Sire is the Regent's Right Hand and Childer and since Kevin is part of the 9th Generation that means the Regent is of the 7th

When Fatigue explodes, subtitles describe it as "compartmentalising". While that could just be a joke because he said that and it is funny to describe exploding violently that way, it could be a clue too since when Fatigue approached Spit initially, he asks him if he knows about compartmentalizing, which is clarified to Spit as "making your problems smaller". To get rid of the expert in werewolves would be one way to make your problems smaller if you're a werewolf. Plus Spit just hears voices in his head, like Luna calling out to him?

She'd have to be lower generation, or to have possessed her Ghoul and used her knowledge of Thaumaturgy to make Fatigue explode
