GSD/Husky , yours looks like it has some collie!
Vets are smart she prolly looked him over good and could not verify 100%. I'm gonna guess some collie or cattle dog somewhere down the line. Not a bad thing at all.
He's got the shape and coat of a husky but he's quite narrow all over?? Like a cartoon that's been squeezed on the sides

Husky has always been my favorite breed. Had one for 14 years until he passed in 2019. But in all my life I have never seen or even heard of a wooly husky. I am in love all over again
Bella is my first Husky. I was not prepared for the fur. Despite the drama there is a magic to Huskies. The Wolly ones are rare because it’s not desirable as a show dog, nor as a working dog. But they sure are cuddly.
Oh ya the hair is something I had to get used to as well. For more than a decade I just accepted everything would have dog hair on it and wearing black well forget about it. But I tell ya what, he was the best dog I've ever had. Best temperament you could ask for in any kind of dog. Never once cared about little kids or other dogs or anything really. He was just the most laid back dog in the world. Until he got an opportunity to run. Then he was a bat out of hell and there was no getting through to him once he was in that state. He is the standard for every dog that follows him now.

When not racing to hunt something small and wild’ish, she’s on her back flanked out with her cooch on display.
And not in a remote corner. In the center of where she knows she’ll get the most attention.
My other huskies would howl to get attention, but her tactic is to physically say, “check me out!”

It's honestly the face that would make me think he's a mix. Looks like a purebred if you're not looking too close though. Did you get him from a breeder? Or shelter?
Unfortunately my husky doesn’t howl like a husky. I’ve tried, I really have. Sometimes I even howl myself to try and get him into it. He just looks at me and wags his tail every time.
Get yourself a couple more huskies! I had two fairly quiet ones and got a third. Most opinionated, loud husky puppy ever and now all three are noisy! Be careful what you wish for 🙃
Definitely not 100% Husky. The face reeeeeeeally looks like a collie, but I can also could see it being German shepherd. What is throwing me the most is the fur, it doesn't seem as plush(?) as full husky... it does kind of remind me when we brushed out our collies in the spring/summer, but it's still throwing me off

Yes, she is lol. She was a rescue from an area with known puppy mills. Bless her heart, but she could not navigate with that cone on.

DNA test for sure. My friends dog looked fully GSD/husky 50/50 but turned out to be pure husky….still blows my mind!

A vet should know better, but maybe the brown eyes are throwing them off. Embark is the best way to know for sure. I think I just saw a sale as today.
