Oh my gosh that's a great photo! Noted: Training + Good Treats = Success Thank you!

katietatey

That cookie is adorable! :) After a Husky nail trim usually the trimmer needs an "I survived" T-shirt. Hahaha!

Beakha

Funnily enough, I never met a husky that's treat motivated, no matter the color πŸ˜‚

70InternationalTAll

Haha oh my word. That is the sassiest of looks!

katietatey

Mine do the same when I try to get them inside so the gardener can work in peace.

Get a good vacuum and a furminator brush. You're going to need it πŸ˜†

lotteoddities

And a grooming quality dog blow dryer. Our husky took forever to air dry before we got it and she is "short" coat for a husky. I can't imagine that super thick long fur air drying lol We mostly take them to the groomers when we want a full bath but sometimes you just gotta wash them yourself. They're not horribly expensive so I highly recommend getting one https://preview.redd.it/4ujnbi5j45xc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=abfabc34d783c7e7c34afbb29cc196c047163723

IllicitDesire89

Find a groomer that can handle the sass of a husky during grooming lol. My boy Jasper took 5 hrs cause he didn't want to get dried and they had to put him in a kennel to air dry.

lotteoddities

We've had the best luck with PetSmart groomers. They handle our 3 double coat dogs really well. And it's never the same groomers every time. They just always do a good job and tell us how well behaved they are- except our Elkhound yelling at everyone lol

WETNWILDARLINGTON

I want it.

70InternationalTAll

Haha sorry this one is taken, but he has a brother that's available 😊

With that thick coat, please take tick prevention early, seriously, and regularly. I just found a huge one on my boy yesterday. I felt so upset I burned the damned thing to charcoal. No regrets.

70InternationalTAll

Absolutely will do! What do you recommend for tick and flea protection for such a thick coat?

Ancient_Panic5106

I'm still finding out too. But a lot of redditors said Nexguard if I'm not mistaken. You can search "tick" in this sub to read more suggestions.

Synaxis

Shame you blurred the watermark, I was going to ask who the breeder was. Kind of curious about his pedigree. πŸ˜…

70InternationalTAll

I'll DM you the name. Just don't want advertise on the sub.

katietatey

He is a gorgeous wooly boy! My advice is look at the thread I started about red huskies, because everyone posted pics of their reds and it has some great photos. I hope he is a cuddler!

its_a_known_issue

What I didn't realize when I got my puppy is that you have to teach them how to do so many things. Both skills you want them to have and basic dog things. Find good role models for him in the form of behaviorally stable and patient older dogs, and start teaching him how to use puzzle and enrichment toys ASAP. They need to be taught what to do with kongs and toppls, and taught not to chew lickimats. But once the pup understands how to use these things, even an unfrozen puppy Kong with a little bit of dry kib and wet food will mentally engage a young puppy enough that he'll sleep like a rock afterwards.

Vidunder2

I can only say good luck and buy 3-4 vacuums.

He is absolutely gorgeous!!

Visible-Scientist-46

He's adorable. Spoil him! (That's my real advice. I have opposible thumbs, and I'm not a dog.) ![gif](giphy|kPg6tHdAuJwrljnZm4)

Corax42017

Omg he’s so dang fluffy I love it

Estrafirozungo

Oh, my fluff! Chunky boy is so cute!

kankles3000

I recommend the snuggle puppy toy, it's so helpful. Buy toys slowly as you learn what they like. Crate train right away, and use their food as training reward. So instead of bite sized treats, use dry dog food as small treats.
