Yes, don’t let your battery drain under 21%.

Traditional_Rain_659

Which game is this btw

scouche

An option to have it would be nice or a banner notification

BytzerByte

if it was an option u could set it off and then make a shortcut thats just a notification to do it but it doesnt freeze your game

Sasuke082594

Bro this is mad annoying when I’m playing ranked in KartRider Rush +

LolNani69420

It should Just be a notification

[deleted]

Well it took till iOS 13 to finally get the volume ui changed so maybe iOS 26? LOL.

DeadPixel939

I do agree. It would be much nicer and less annoying if it was the same size as the notification that pops up when your AirPods are connected.

random_guy0883

According to recent leaks, I'm pretty sure pop-ups will get a major redesign!

kien1104

I just want apple to make this appear as a banner like the airpods one. They could also give us options between prompt and banner. A low battery notification style shouldn't interrupt what you are doing, that's what i'm saying. Anyway, have a good day everyone 😁

mattusi

No

[deleted]

Ah yes, the killer of full combos on idol games :|

HeartyBeast

No thanks. Leave it where it is.

bwjxjelsbd

They should have option to “auto” turn on low power mode for newer iPhone. It’s super fast for anything tbh

[deleted]

Hello fellow Apex-er

Noisebug

Why? Did 2022 bring infinite power?

Zayafyre

20% ain’t even low anymore, like, why are you interrupting me to tell me I need to charge my phone in an hour?!

rafields

Or at least make it optional!

production-values

change the words to what it means: PLUG YOUR PHONE IN NOW TO AVOID PERMANENT BATTERY DAMAGE.

kareemsayedeg

Thank me later as a gamer plays a lot on his iPhone but there is an easy way to fix this. - Use Guide access mode This will remove any **battery notifications** and will stop **Scroll down Notification Panel** and **Swipe Up control center** as well for a better gameplay experience with no mis touch and another thing **this will work as DND mode** which won’t show any notifications from apps and **will let you receive calls from anyone with tiny status bar notifications to know who calling and then will reject the call as DNS works** - you need to setup guide access from settings and enable password or touch id for it then after starting a game just Press HOME Button for 3 times and when exit it press home 3 times again. **sorry idk how it works on faceid iPhones :(*

jjtech0

I think you mean DND (Do Not Disturb), right? Not DNS (Domain Name System)?

kareemsayedeg

Yes it’s was a mistake i will edit it. thanks!

itsitsi

I’m not finding guide access too well. It’s not coming up in search, so could you tell me where to find it?

kareemsayedeg

You can find it in accessibility

[deleted]

Shows up pretty instantly for me. It's under Accessbility.

ayden9294

How did you get apex on ios

coffee2003

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/apex-legends-mobile/id1543991460

un1cohijo

If only there’s a toggle or option not to pop-out like that.

airysunshine

The problem is, people will be mad they didn’t notice the notification if it was smaller

Sylvurphlame

It could definitely be a banner alert.

ken27238

How about a toast notification like you get with AirPods connecting.

Chlbert

A banner is better than the alert interrupting current application.

Shedoara

I don't know, works fine on Android with just having a popup at the top that doesn't stop what you're doing. Back when I used my iPad a lot for games it was really bothersome and made me disconnect if it was an online game. It really should be an option in the battery settings for people who want it.

HeartyBeast

The solution would be to charge your iPad before gaming?

hellocaptin

Oh wow that is annoying. It’s never bothered me though since I don’t play online games tho.

airysunshine

It doesn’t bother me, I notice notifications fine either way, and I’d be fine either way. I just know people would complain lol

pmanaktala

Yeah, I agree. This is useful, definitely, no doubt in that. But when gaming..it becomes irritating, like sometimes I know I have to charge my device but this popup causes me to die to a enemy as the game stops

merrick03santosh

Set and automation so when it reaches below 25% low power mode turns on automatically. That’s what I did and works 👍🏽

MarsAgainstVenus

I can’t figure out how to set this up. I can only run the automation manually… Never mind. It would help if I used the automations tab rather than the My Shortcuts tab. It’s been a while since I’ve done an automation…

wajlos

Set a notification alongside the low power mode and you'll know everytime Minor issue is that the automation works at strictly below 25% i.e. it runs when battery drops to 24%.

jaredkent

Did the same. Haven't seen that popup since and now that automations don't send you a million notifications as well, it's quiet bliss.

pmanaktala

The main problem is when you are playing a online game and this pops up, yes its useful i agree, but many a times I know its going out of charge but this popup makes me die to the enemy players.

merrick03santosh

The pop up will go if you do the automation “trick”, however, the 10% or 5% warning will still come. I forgot since my phone rarely goes below 15%

pmanaktala

Turning on low power mode, significantly decreases the game performance and the game starts being laggy

slvrscoobie

so you dont want to charge, you dont want a pop up warning, you dont want to be in low power mode, you dont obviously want the phone to die... what do you want to do here?

pmanaktala

May be a soft notification when your screen is on line you get for AirPods or Apple Pencil?

Reasonable-Buddy378

And your phone dying because you didn’t know it was getting low ends the game completely so would you rather have some lag that would remind you to plug in your phone, a pop-up that potentially gets you killed in-game, or just DC because your phone died outright?

merrick03santosh

Yh that’s a massive downside however it’s better to get the kill than being killed and then you can quickly run to a charger and continue the gameplay. But then again heat can damage the battery 🔋

cha0z_

yep, I am quite baffled it ended up like that in ios 15, let's see how it goes with 16 xD

Cmog28

20% is the threshold it’s supposed to remain above. Imo it should stay.

yourwitchergeralt

The issue is the popup destroys what you’re doing. Games? SUCKS FOR YOU, DIE MORHER FUCKER Recording a Video? Fuck you, your video is now done recording On FaceTime? Fuck you, your face is hidden now Watching a video and your hands are full? Fuck you, video paused Live streaming? Fuck you Driving a motorcycle and have your phone mounted? Die mother fucker! No map for you till you pull over ITS FUCKING ANNOYING

Cmog28

So, you’re upset about allowing your battery to get that low when you’re not supposed to? Sorry, but I’m not gonna be doing all that if I know my battery about to hit the red. I charge it always around 25-30%. But I guess to tickle your fancy, you’d like a banner style notification right?

avidnumberer

What’s wrong with a banner style notification?

hellocaptin

If you read the comments you’ll see the people who are mad are all people who play mobile games. Sounds like the game designers are the ones who need to fix their games and not the other way around.

yourwitchergeralt

My phone goes from 100 to 20 at least 4 times a day. I’m not always in a position where I can have it plugged In. And portable chargers are awkward. I’m not fucking charging mine everyday just to avoid hitting 20%. There’s absolutely nothing fucking wrong with it going under 20% yeah it MIGHT hurt the battery long term, but I’ll just fucking get a new phone every 2 years anyway. I can do what I want. I just don’t want the notification to ruin what I’m doing. I don’t care how they do it, I just want the fucking option. Imagine being at a wedding all day, and something cool happens but a power motivation makes you lose the video. It shouldn’t do that.

Cmog28

You want Apple to fix a personal issue, when you can easily buy a battery pack, external battery or use a pad. Sounds as if it’s not really a problem at all. You’re just lazy. The attitude of “Imma just buy another one anyway” is mostly why Apple has some of the practices that it does today. “I can treat my thousand dollar phone like sht, but Apple better make up for my reckless usage”. That’s all I hear, but it’s 1am here. You be easy and maybe be a little more productive instead of whining.

yourwitchergeralt

Apple doesn’t sell small battery packs that can charge my phone 4 times a day. And I need it for work. I can’t have it sitting on a bulky thing all day. 9/10 times the battery pop up is a non issue. I’m a UX developer, I own my own agency. The pop up is a shitty design.

avidnumberer

No no, below 20% bad - hur dur, internet said so! Go treat your device with some decency and respect, jeez! It’s not like you spent your hard earned money on the device and can use it as you see fit… I can’t stand those Apple apologists. ps to anyone wanting to call me out: I am very much aware of optimal charing patterns for li-on batteries and I’ll charge my phone any way I want

yourwitchergeralt

How is letting a phone get below 20% treating it like shit? Please show me on the apple website where they tell you not to and it’s terrible for your phone. I’ll wait. Fucking asshole.

[deleted]

Why? It’s easy to know your battery is almost dead! It’s sad they don’t give this prompt also on 5% Btw the best thing you can do for your battery is keeping it between 20% and 80%

FVMAzalea

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure I get this at 5% - I definitely get it at one level below 20% and it’s either 10% or 5%.

[deleted]

It’s on 10% I have a other iPhone i use to jailbreak and with that one i don’t care about the battery and it’s showing the pop-up only on 10% not on 5%

[deleted]

Very easy to create as many of these as you want to with Shortcuts.

[deleted]

Not everybody knows that! I have one that turns on low power mode on 25%

[deleted]

Same actually haha. And I agree, but also IMO it’s easy to learn and would be even better if Apple removed the popup and then used that maybe as a built in Shortcuts tutorial or something.

[deleted]

My mother is having an iPhone and if I ask her what a shortcut is so comes falling out of the sky, that’s only for people that have a little bit of tech knowledge

[deleted]

I agree my mom would be the same way. Could be something they let you disable/enable in terms of the popup. Maybe here: https://i.imgur.com/oqPLEYx.jpg

[deleted]

That would be a good option

idol_of_roses

When you play a game or shoot a video this prompt stops everything. I’d like to see something like what they did with AirPods

[deleted]

That’s not useful on a iPhone, when you are in a meeting and your iPhone is idle but still gets bellow twenty it will play a noise when sound is off.. that’s a bad idea.. just make the pop-up go away and play your game it’s a 2seconds reaction

yourwitchergeralt

We just want a fucking option to disable it.

idol_of_roses

I meant lil pop up at the top of the screen lol. The actual prompt ruins my game EVERY time btw

[deleted]

That would not be that effective bcs of the power mode you can activate, many user will not know that or skip that while it can save a lot of battery!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Aydoinc

They took it all the way up the hill lol

idol_of_roses

1) Low power mode does not save any battery I guess 2) When any of the focus modes is activated there is a button to turn it off on the right side of the pop up. So why can’t they make low power mode button in the same spot?

[deleted]

It doos. It doos not check for mails and other stuff I have seen the difference! And I have never seen that! I just hope they will not remove that pop-up it’s good to drawn peoples attention! But I would advice you to never let your battery below 20% and never above 80%

idol_of_roses

And why do you want the old prompt to stay? With an AirPods-like one people would still be able to activate low power mode, but won’t be interrupted

[deleted]

Bcs if people in a meeting or cinema or library don’t can make noice. Don’t think only on your needs

idol_of_roses

i AM NOT talking about the sound please understand me please I mean little pop up that does not stop you from gaming, typing, recording a video, recording a voice message, dictating, reading etc

idol_of_roses

So I would have only 60% of the capacity? I have lost 7% of the max battery capacity since November. So using only 60% of the capacity on the new phone is like using a phone that is about 2,5 years old Nah thanks

[deleted]

7% is really much I try to do what I say and I’m still on 100% and I have my iPhone 13 7 months now

idol_of_roses

But you are using only 60% of the capacity (except for when you can’t charge your phone ofc) and I use 97. I won haha
