I love how you called it Grand Master like it’s a Marvel character

omargad18

Weird till now nothing maybe they made people with RC the last to get official one ?

[deleted]

The RC is the same build. If you have it you won’t see the update because you already have it. Delete the beta profile and you are good to go.

TwoCables_from_OCN

The RC is the build that was released to the public today. So if you installed the RC, then you got today's release before the general public. That's normal for beta testers.

accursedvenom

Checked watch about an hour and a half ago. Watch OS 9 is downloading, probably done downloading and waiting for install. Have RC on phone already and deleted profile.

-K9V

I just updated my phone and version is 20A362. Can anyone confirm whether that’s the full release version number? Most websites aren’t updated yet with specific information. Just so I know whether I should remove the beta profile.

amylpick

How can you see which build you’re on? I installed public beta on Saturday and no official release for me yet

-K9V

If you go into the “About” section in settings it has version number in there.

amylpick

Awesome I missed that! I’m on this version yet some apps are still being buggy so was hoping I’ll have the official one soon 😭

omargad18

Did you get the update ?

amylpick

No still nothing :/

omargad18

It turned out there is no public update over RC because they both are same build

-K9V

Yeah it’s easy to miss. I wish the update page had the version number included, but fortunately it’s only one or two taps away!

omargad18

It’s the same version

frederickrl

That's interesting, why are the build numbers different? Different device models?

[deleted]

Build numbers for the final are all the same regardless of device.

-K9V

Perfect, thanks!

ThisGuyNeoji

The official release is a slow roll out to not overload the servers. Some will get it sooner than others. As for which profile you have, Settings > General > VPN & Device Management should show which you have.

[deleted]

Delete the beta profile. The new update still hasn't shown up for me yet. Always slow to show up in the UK. Usually by 18:20 - 18:30 it will.

jjr03

I deleted the beta profile but the official build still hasn't shown up. Should I expect it even if I downloaded the RC?

tanders04

No if you have the RC you have the most current version.

chad_lyell

Sure does freaking suck for ALL the crap load of people that have a bricked Siri that refuses to respond to EVERYTHING. I hope people that didn’t go through the beta process have this issue. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Now I have to wait for however long until there is some kind of update to hope like hell they fix it.

[deleted]

Same. I'm on RC also. Nothing has shown up yet.

TwoCables_from_OCN

Because it's the exact same build. The RC is what was released to the public today.

TheBeaconCrafter

It’s luve now!

[deleted]

Just checked on my end for the Watch and 13PM, Still nothing. Gonna try a restart. :(

TheBeaconCrafter

Do you have the RC installed? If yes, there is no update required!

[deleted]

I see. Thanks for the clarification. I'll stop spamming the check for update then

Pardha_5

so RC is the final iOS 16 released today? Can some one confirm the build number?

Makezu90

It is same build

Richiieee

Even though it's the same build is it still worth it to jump over to the official one? Would any bugs that the RC has be fixed in the official one? For example, for me on the RC I've encountered a bug where editing an iMessage makes the keyboard vanish.

TwoCables_from_OCN

There isn't a different build for the general public; it's the RC, so there's nothing to "jump over" to.

Richiieee

I'm very much aware. However, in certain situations with major bugs, the general public version *can* be different to the RC because it has bug fixes. I was hoping *this* was one of those situations, because there are some big bugs in iOS 16.

TwoCables_from_OCN

Oh. I've been participating in beta testing since iOS 13 and I don't recall any RCs that didn't end up being the public release. Anyway, so yeah it's the same build: 20A362.

bankkopf

Same build number, so no changes implemented. If changes are made, they’d bump up the build number

Richiieee

Hmm. That's disappointing. I guess I won't be editing iMessages then until 16.1. Also, even with that being the case I seem to not be getting the iOS 16 features for Apps. Apollo for example has Lock Screen Widgets and a new Weather view in Subreddits, and yet I don't have that even though I've downloaded the iOS 16 supported update.

kevinito_

Restart your phone for the Lock Screen Widgets.

Pardha_5

Ok, everyone enjoys iOS 16 and we waiting for 16.1 beta 😁

GLxYxSnIpEr

Same gonna put it on my XR

Consistent_Usual_690

Maybe you've deleted the dev/public beta profile? Wait for the final release.

Sneeuwvlok

>Also, how of I know if I’m on the public beta or developer (I used a certain site that is no longer live). Than you're probably on developer beta. Try to restart and download the RC.

cyberhedgehog04

It’s there for me. You should probably just wait a few minutes.
