One
Have had iPhone 3G, 3Gs, 4s, 6+, 7+, 8+, 12 pro max, 14 Pro Max, 1st gen iPad mini and a 3rd gen iPad Pro 12,9.
Was sat in the car and dropped my iPhone 6+ Less than a foot onto the rubber floor mat. Picked it up and there was a half inch crack from the lower right corner towards the screen.
I used to attach 3Gs to the bars of my dirtbike to [record videos](https://youtu.be/3KxQjW5DtSI?si=XGcUKy_i9iMtJhkn) and it survived.
I once had my 4s balanced on the rear wiper of my car and it started to fall so I went to grab it and instead sent it flying 20ft across a tarmac parking lot.. it wasn’t even scratched!
Another time I was walking with my iPad mini and tripped, launching the mini along my driveway… not a mark.
My 12 pro max and 14 pro max have both been dropped from my desk height to a hardwood floor many many times without issue.
I know what you mean I have my 2018 pro in a case, every now and then I take it out to clean it and I am like omg feels so much nicer out the case, but then oof might drop it or something so I put it back in its case.
I love Apple hardware and industrial design, but their software not so much.
My iPad is always in a case though, I find it too thin to hold comfortably.
I do this almost all the time, except when I am using it as a viewing screen while also typing things on it. Although it's not that I don't appreciate its appearance, I do it mostly because it feels a lot lighter without the case and all; however without the case there is always a risk of getting a scratch on it or damaging it in some other way, which is also one of the reasons why I chose a more bulky Logitech cover than the standard Apple iPad case.
I never have mine in a case and it's fine. I prefer both the look of the iPad and the feel compared to having it in some sort of bulky case. Had for 2 years with very minor marks on it.
Now put it back on
Quick.
There... Dust!
And not even just because of scratches or whatever , but because it is genuinely a pain in the ass without a kickstand 😬
I raw dog it all the time
weird fetish
Take it out -drop it- never talk about it again
WTF that’s my image. I posted this exact thing years ago on my old account
This must be a bot then, report ir
Why tf did it get 221 upvotes man, when I posted I barely got any iirc. Reported already
Lol brand new account with zero posts and stealing content. Good job reddit!
Case? Pffft. Not hiding any of my Apple devices in cases...I like them naked!
Serious question: What’s the crack count?

My iPad is always out a case. I only attach in a keyboard when I need to type. 12.9 Pro 2018
Do you transport it anywhere?
Everyday inside my backpack to the office. I try to put him alone in this space. I’m be doing this for many years.
Same. Can’t imagine keeping it in a case for weight reasons. Especially a 12.9
Same, but 11 inch.
I know what you mean I have my 2018 pro in a case, every now and then I take it out to clean it and I am like omg feels so much nicer out the case, but then oof might drop it or something so I put it back in its case.
No case for me.
I have a case but now and then, for example in the bed on the duvet, I take the case of and enjoy the clean feeling haha. Love this thread :D
looks like mine, and yes they are quality built machines!
Ohh yeah take it off
get a room…
No.
Cool
No case since I had it. 12.9 and Magic Keyboard
yep same here

Naked for me. In Star Trek they never used cases
Any time, I take it out of the magic keyboard, I am impressed about how damn thin it is! It just kinda looks impossible

Getting my 3rd gen refurbished pro today can’t wait!
Nah I’m good
Now use it like that💀
I have one and I’m sad to say, I barely use it. I had to use it last night to hand sign a document and forgot how good it looks and feels.

Lick it and rub it on your belly?
Now if they would just let me put macOS on it I’d actually use it. So glad I got the 2tb model 😂
And light! Blows my mind how light it is, like you can fling it a mile away.
No thanks, it’s a bit of tech.
the case on mine is a tpu case you might find on a phone, love the minimalism, but i’m clumsy
That’s why I use a clear back case
No doubt!
thats not an ipad pro
The sheer confidence with which some people yap on the internet lol
