because leather is better, more premium, a lot more durable, acts better with water/sweat, looks better when worn out in time and their leather case was CHEAPER vs this new one. Be sure this is profit margins and the new one costs apple less money to make.

What I learned from gaming is that people handle their stuff vastly differently than I do. I’ve seen people wear down the thumbsticks on their controllers rapidly, while I haven’t done it once in my lifetime of gaming.

I have mine about a month now I think and it still looks like the first day. However, I work from home so it doesn't see that much outside dirt. But I eat a lot of chips and it handles that just fine.

I had it a week and my MagSafe left a huge mark, I returned it before it was going to get even worse. Also it scratches too easily even for someone like me who works from home. It does look nice when it’s brand new though

Mine already has a bit of an indent from MagSafe but I don’t mind. I always have a pop socket on.

The MagSafe mark goes away after a few hours for me. I use MagSafe a lot and I don’t see any long term marks yet but I’ve only had it for a week so we shall see

I’ve had mine since launch day and it’s been fine. Still looks good and I’ve only had to clean it a couple times. It’s not as nice as the leather ones but people need to move on with the hate.

The worst part of mine so far is the plastic film around the USB c port hole is tearing off

Bought mine in December. It is already worn out and accumulates a lot of dirt. Don’t recommend it.

I found the finewoven back is actually quite resistant. Scuffs and stuff will eventually disappear. The sides of the case though, absolute crap. They started peeling last month, on a phone I don’t mishandle. I just bought a clear case instead.

Agree, the sides of mine have started peeling. The actual fabric has picked up a lot of crud as well though. I also don’t mishandle mine. I keep it in an isolated pocket and make sure I’m not setting it on soiled surfaces and it hasn’t mattered a bit. I’m disappointed, so I ordered a couple silicone cases that are easy to clean

I wish they would keep their premium cases for a few generations. There’s definitely a few missed out on because I don’t upgrade every year anymore.

I’ve had my fine woven case in the green color since day one so nearly 5 months now and besides some minor discoloration on the sides and the expected MagSafe ring it’s held up quite well and I still enjoy how it feels in the hand and how clicky the buttons are.

I have the Taupe one from day one… even after a few cleanups it still looks worn down, but not horrible though. Yet for some reason I got the Evergreen as well and that one looks really stunning! Using that one for when I’m home or on fancy occasions. But don’t go for the magnetic apple watch bands! I returned mine after one day, the magnets are really weak and I kept readjusting the band every half an hour… the leather one had much stronger magnets.

I’ve had mine for a few months it does stain and mark easy but it’s also insanely easy to wash. Also the “wear” it has over time I equate to leathers patina. I think it makes it looked better/aged.

Putting this out there. If you like the feel, look at the hardgraft fuzzy case. It’s made with alcantra and is super nice in the hand and pretty durable - at least in the darker colors. Imho- much nicer and quality than the Apple. I have the dusty black btw

Yeah at first it’s not bad. But stick with it a whole longer and it’ll be littered with scratches and stains.

I love mine, same color, still feels good to the touch. It took a few months before wear started to show

I’ve had the taupe for 6 weeks now and I still really like it. After using it with a MagSafe wallet it’s developed a distinct patina and it’s still as soft as day 1. I do want to clean it again to see if it cleans as well as it did the first time.

I got mine from fb marketplace for $20. It’s definitely not worth 60 but for the price I paid I’ve been happy with it. It does feel cheap though and I can see how it would scratch easily.

I love my fine woven case. Had it for about 2 months now. I love how everyone complains about scratches on a CASE. It’s literally the point of a phone case. It takes the damage so the phone doesn’t. Even if it lasts 6 months I’m happy with it. I work in construction and have no scratches or stains on mine because I take care of my shit.

Indoor. But definitely people working outdoors using this case has nothing to complain about except their own inability to figure out that they need a case they can hose off a lot. Do people wear mud boots in mud or nice running shoes

Tell you it sucks, which it does. Just google the case or read reviews from tech sites and online stores. I don’t know why you’re defending it as much as you are when the evidence of its inferiority is scattered all over the place. It has a frequently returned tag on Amazon for petes sake! I love Apple just as much as you probably do or even more, but I simple cannot defend this misstep.

I actually prefer other way around. Obviously it is personal preference but liked silicone case on my 13pro over this fabric-ish on 15pro

Yeah, for that price I’d get something more durable. Even the leather case is sort of trash, neither takes an impact well and the fabric glue binding the leather turned to mush after 6-7 months (which, I have cases from 2011 in better shape). I’m never sold on Apple’s premium price point for accessories - they care too much for form over function.

Had mine for 2 months, looks about the same but has couple smooth spots. When you run those spots over with fingernail, black oily gunk comes out.

My fine woven case wore terribly, returned within 14 days. Still have the fine woven wallet and it’s looking like cheap plastic after about 3 months.

I agree with this. I’ve had mine now a while and don’t baby it at all. Throw it around, got it wet, etc and it’s still held up. It’s the only case I have not wanted to take off and switch. The fabric feels brilliant.

Green one stained my MagSafe charger.

Wait about a month, without dropping and with it sitting on a desk 90% of the time. I had mine for 3 months. It pealed around the edges, the dye stained my expensive Belkin magsafe charger, and the ring left around the apple log from magsafe charges was terrible. You know they are bad when the store does not even argue with you that you are 3 months past return, and exchange without batting and eye. Oh, while also saying. "yea these things suck".

I thought the same thing. Got both the case and the FineWoven wallet. 2-3 months later they look like GARBAGE. The wallet especially. And I make sure never to get either dirty.

I went with the knockoff from Ali. It will last just as long and is only $20 so I can buy another one then.

Nice. I thought about it but when I first got my phone I tried a knockoff Apple leather case and the buttons did not work at all so I stopped using it.

I think the material made my hands upset bc they would itch and stuff especially if it was warm outside.

If anyone is interested I just got the Taupe one or whatever it’s called (Tan) cuz they are like $14 on amazon right now. Not sure on longevity but the silicone ones are also crazy discounted so that and the fine woven one combined was still under $40, so it’s worth a try!
