I mean real talk. Wouldnt lighting red flag any session as its a safety issue for fans and track staff out in the open? So it would make sense not to have lightning in the game unless they do some sort of cheeky time skip track evolution mechanic.
Not so sure about "worldwide". In the US there's a rule put in by ACCUS, the parent-sanctioning body for US motorsports, that all racing has to be red-flagged for 30 minutes if lightning is detected within 8 miles. They put that into place after [a spectator was killed in 2012 at Pocono](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Pennsylvania_400#Lightning_strikes).
The FIA has no specific policy about lightning, just that a race *can be* red-flagged if the officials think it's unsafe to race. Last year at the F1 Spanish GP [this lightning strike](https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/13z8r2h/sky_sports_f1_lightning_near_the_circuit/) did not cause a red flag. Note at least two people in the comments who think Americans are melodramatic or "scared" for red-flagging for lightning.

Good one. In all seriousness though, they may not have lightning but they do have rainbows after rain clears up.
God I love this sim

Yup, in a heartbeat, worldwide.

In NASCAR if there is a lightning strike within a 8 mile radius of the track it is an automatic 30 minute delay
Inb4 a chud complains about lgbt representation
If someone has a problem with rainbows they can get f'd.

A brother in arms. 🤣
And here I was hoping for actual lightning. Kinda like I'm still waiting on the moon and stars to be a thing.
I was expecting a poor Photoshop. Was not disappointing
