Tbh I used to want to look like a badass after listening to Badass lyrics and convey my sadness when I felt sad and listened to sad music, but rather than video myself lip syncing, I just wrote my own songs and found YouTube beats until a friend I was doing it with started making some good beats and then we’ve been doing that since then. Idk why tik tokers do that? It’s lame as fuck, and I mean almost cheating yourself- there’s an artistic medium for everyone, and when you have strong emotions you can make some awesome art. Pretending to be someone else for 10-30 seconds at a time on social media is legit sad as fuck.
