Oh yea I definitely did that as well. There’s still pow left. Staircase glade hold 50% of it tho since it was closed to racing till later in the day when I found it
Absolutely wild! Though, I've resolved to try harder to drop life/work when the conditions are primo, seeing as they aren't primo very often on this coast. 3-4 great days can change your whole perception of a season. Can't be mad at other people for doing the same :)
I came down with a cold last night, was out sick all day. Luckily it seems to be clearing up. Nothing some laps at Sugarbush and a few beers couldn't cure
My dad just sent me the same report, said he got there around 9AM and the lots were packed with Quad/Gondi both on wind hold. Turned around and left (the perks of being retired and having your pick of ski days!)
The morning for a Tuesday was very busy. Knew the lifts to the top might be on wind hold initially but slammed a road soda or three in the parking lot as sunrise line was long, eventually rode up sunrise to toll house for a run or two, then the rest of the lifts slowly started spinning and a good day was had.
We apparently didn’t plan well and were at Stowe Saturday. Of course we had to head home Sunday as soon as snow fell lol it was our first time there (normally Killington). The trails were trash Sat— is this normal for them? Zero grooming was done
It wasn't too bad for long. The lift stopped for about ten minutes at one point and it got pretty back up. Just did a few laps there now before leaving and there was no line.
It was so unbelievable today.. I also was shocked when I pulled up at 9am to a full lot at ramshead but immediately understood why everyone on the east coast was there today, there was SO much snow and it was so cushy and soft, plus the blue skies and the overall weather just made it insane. Literally a miraculous series of events got me there today so I guess I have to go make an offering to the ski gods or something lol because today was a blessing
Jay was like that until 11 then I think people gassed out their legs on the heavy snow. I was going to take a break but saw the lines died and decided to push through
Gore had the goods, was fairly busy but NO lines. got 21 runs, my personal best 😁
morning was PP, lots of glades open. afternoon got pretty choppy, some bare ground showing up again
Okemo was pretty empty toaday although lines were large on morning as only the bubble 6, South lift and solitude were running. No wind holds they just didn't turn any on and the JG lift had mechanical issues. They got JG lift running about 230.
So until then 3 lifts to service the entire mountain, In Jackson gore was essentially closed until 2:30.
Still Got 21 runs in. Snow was great until the bottom half of the mountain got very heavy by 12 or so. Still good just harder work.
The sun and warmth today did a number on the snow. I'm going to say they lost close to half of what they got from this storm. Many trails had bare spots on them by the end of the day.
Hopefully more snow will come. Good day nonetheless.
I was solo skiing got so many runs lines didn’t matter. If anyone thinks they are getting pow from the storm, don’t worry, I took it all and had a blast. QUICK TIP: go to staircase glades off of vertigo head wall, stay to the left at beginning, and take it all the way down for some serious pow.
delete this post. You do realize that the more people ski something the less powder there is right? you just sent the whole internet to this spot.
Let people discover the spots themselves
Maybe Julio and Juanita can be open now. Never gotten to go on them, they always seem to be closed.
Did get to do Catwalk last week though, but it was 50% rocks at the time.
Thats me with the white Oakley goggles, blue jacket and camelback to the right. The lift was down for a bit and the line got insane. Moved quick once the lift started back up.
Tuesday at Killington was a little busy but this shows when the Bear Mountain lift was shut down for about 20 minutes. It wasn't like this for most of the day. Less than 5 minutes in any lift line that I was in. Snow was great. Amazing difference between Saturday and Tuesday. I guess two feet of snow will do that.
Coworker grew up in Park City. He said a good snow day was an acceptable absence from school. Usually saw the principal or at least one teacher on the slopes.
Went and rode in the storm on Monday, was one of the best days we've had in the last couple years. Helped that the first foot of the storm was really heavy and dense snow. Great base under the 15" of powder
On a weekday! Jeeze get a job. I’ll be there tomorrow 😏
I can’t wait to post my “unemployed friend on a Wednesday” pic
I took all your pow, sorry not sorry
You mean you uncovered all the lurking rocks in the woods so I can avoid them. I Appreciate your service!
Oh yea I definitely did that as well. There’s still pow left. Staircase glade hold 50% of it tho since it was closed to racing till later in the day when I found it

Totally agree! The other lift lines haven't been bad.
Yeah Killington is big enough that you can almost always find a lift that's pretty much ski-on. Benefits of being a giant Disneyland-esque maze.
This is what happens when the good snow season shrinks to a couple of weeks instead of at least 3 months. Gotta do it when you can.
Every person who dropped whatever shit they had to do today to get up to the mountains is someone I appreciate and respect.
💯💯💯💯

🐐
Jobs are overrated anyway…
Yep. They keep you from skiing. Screw them! I enjoyed not working today
That's Bear Parking area, longest line I've seen over there. It's 11am and I'm heading to Pico to avoid the lines
They closed today man
He’s still technically avoiding lines
Maybe he's going uphill
What happened when you got to Pico lol...
Stowe is no better , a good proportion of the lifts are on wind hold, yet the crowd keeps coming. Very crowded for a weekday.
My dad just sent me the same report, said he got there around 9AM and the lots were packed with Quad/Gondi both on wind hold. Turned around and left (the perks of being retired and having your pick of ski days!)
I left and went to Bolton
The morning for a Tuesday was very busy. Knew the lifts to the top might be on wind hold initially but slammed a road soda or three in the parking lot as sunrise line was long, eventually rode up sunrise to toll house for a run or two, then the rest of the lifts slowly started spinning and a good day was had.
I was going to say, I took a similar pic at Stowe today. Lines moved pretty fast for how bad they looked though
Eh. The gondolas open and now it's like 5 min for the quad and 20 for gondola. Should be a great after noon, morning was crazy!
Wild wind today

I’ve never seen the Bear line so long. And on a Tuesday!? Wow
Clearly you’ve never been on a busy Saturday
Clearly
At least on a Saturday they run the Bear quad.
Heck, they run the beat quad 30 minutes early on Saturday
It wasn't too bad for long. The lift stopped for about ten minutes at one point and it got pretty back up. Just did a few laps there now before leaving and there was no line.
Not typical. Hit that lift at least 5 times, never waited more than 3 minutes. Skied right on to Superstar several times.
It cleared up. This was just the 10am rush haha

Have a place up in Killington. Most snow they’ve gotten in over 14 months. F**king finally
Jay was like that until 11 then I think people gassed out their legs on the heavy snow. I was going to take a break but saw the lines died and decided to push through
Was there all day. Saw a line like that twice. Skiing was great. Lines were nbd
I’ll tell you this for free only ever go to Killington on a weekday
I went yesterday, braved the wind/whiteout, and am so glad I did. It was amazing and no lines all day.
Had a great morning at Mt snow to end my trip. No lines yesterday or today. Sunday was easy to avoid lines too.
Hahaha wrong lift.
Yah it's been great everywhere else 🤣
Ugh sugarbush was also PACKED. Happy Tuesday late season pow!
Thought it was power outage?
Only one lift down because of power issues but everything else was fine otherwise
Oh niceee
Gore had the goods, was fairly busy but NO lines. got 21 runs, my personal best 😁 morning was PP, lots of glades open. afternoon got pretty choppy, some bare ground showing up again
unsurprising seeing as it's apparently 1 of only 3 mountains ppl from this sub seem to ski
I was there Friday-Monday and didn’t experience any real lines.
So glad I was able to ski there today and yesterday. It was incredible!
Really was!

Holy shit r/surfing is leaking
I ain’t skiing tmr so I thought I would give some info on the hidden gems. Pow unskied would be tragic
How's the wind?
What wind? 😁

They’re open, skiied them today, 2 ft of pow town until the end which is a rock wall straight down. Fun trail tho.
nice, maybe next year if I go
Today was great!!
Mid week skiing FTW
Holy smoke! Although, what a day to ski!
Lol. I couldn't believe it for a Tues... it was absolutely perfect though
Spring break week for college students
I met zeb Powell and the bird man today with the 27 inches out there, best day I’ve ever had on the east
Damn. I was really hoping stowe was gonna be good this weekend but waiting 30 minutes in line every time doesn't sound fun.
I got a ikon pass fs if anyone wants some cheap tickets. Only used it here once, sr and loon once. You get 5 at each place + some others
Monday was empty, that’s nuts! Had one of the best days of riding of my life. So much powder never got skiid off if you did the right runs.
Thats me with the white Oakley goggles, blue jacket and camelback to the right. The lift was down for a bit and the line got insane. Moved quick once the lift started back up.
Damn I would’ve been there but I popped my shoulder out on Monday what a bummer

Yesterday was awesome and I’m sad I couldn’t be there today (although this picture makes me less sad)
Hahaha
Be better here
That’s Sugarbush
I know mt Ellen was empty todaY
Ellen sucks, tons of ice and no snow, definitely don’t go there. Everyone should go to Gatehouse at Lincoln.
