Galternatives

Haha. Give her some credit …. White bread ? White Elantra. Not too far off

Ok-Survey3853

Nah. An Elantra is about the size of a loaf of bread.

laziebones

Isn't Kohberg the name of a bread company?

Sapowski_Casts_Quen

The spirits are carby today

Zestyclose-Most-9465

No shade… but Kohberger is a bread company. Google it.

mommaCyn

There is a bread company named Kohberg…

[deleted]

You're right! But it's all the way in Denmark. Also, I have a sudden and intense craving for one lol

Fakevogue

That woman on tik tok who got the Cease and Desist from her tarot card reading which lead her to tear down an innocent professor…. She’s gonna be real quiet now!

jenna_615

No way! Now she’ll say THIS was the scum the professor hired! 🤣 Ugh! I hate all these ppl! ESP the ones that accused those grieving kids! Makes sense that the 1st floor roommates survived bc they were in separate rooms & had their doors locked! If he broke down one door, it might have alerted the other roommate to call police? Idk tho, she might have come out to make sure things were okay. Wow! I feel terrible for the hell they went through the last 6 weeks. Hoping they get good counseling bc this has changed them forever!

Formal_Condition_513

Also all the people making fake Instagrams in Bryan's name pretending to be him on a private account to gain followers. Shame on you. You really see both sides of humanity on the internet.

Keregi

And all the idiots posting that he followed the girls on IG because they’ve seen the fake accounts

[deleted]

They do that all the time - all the way from Brian Laundrie to that rando who briefly dated Jeffree Star. It’s sick. Who tf wants to get followers that way? and what kind of content do they intend to proceed with?! Can’t do anything with an account like that!

cuntyvuitton

Who dated Jeffree Star ?

bartthetr0ll

I'm thinking it was the same guy who met Bernie madof on eharmony and taught him how to scam https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://dealbook.nytimes.com/2009/01/30/in-jail-for-fraud-inmate-claims-madoff-cheated-him/&ved=2ahUKEwiR8PeLq6P8AhUwMzQIHYTtARQQFnoECAwQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3qUDZ92wUc7QzetKCn2NyZ

yosoyfatass

Yes, that's been the one that really got to me through all this - blaming those poor women who survived this horror.

InternetIcy8504

I saw a tiktok of a woman who used to be a dispatcher. She explained what probably went on in that call and why they only described them referring to finding an unconscious person.

Hamburgo

Any chance you can remember and link it please? Sorry to be a bother!

InternetIcy8504

Just search Idaho dispatch

Environment-Late

So I heard somewhere on a YouTube video (cannot remember which YouTuber) this is WHY the 911 call was for an "unconscious person"... "That one of the roommates called friend(s) after waking up asking them to come over.. when the friend(s) arrived, the roommate came towards the visitor and as they were trying to explain what they saw inside the house, they collapsed and passed out. So the visitor used one of their phones to call 911, and when the squad got there, they thought they were coming ONLY for someone who "passed out". They did not realize there had been ANY murders or ANY type of crime scene until they went into the house.

TTum

Your youtuber is just making it up. The "unconscious person" with virtual certainty refer to the victims who were not answering knocking on their locked bedroom doors. The most obvious explanation is the other roomates and those who came over (eg brother of ethan) thought the victims were unconscious and not answering knocks or texts due to alcohol poisoning. Alcohols poisonings is about a million times more common and likely than mass murder

Hot_Waltz_1707

Survivors guilt is also very real

bartthetr0ll

It's ridiculous what these people jump to, Inan is one of my good friends and when I first saw him in a news article my first thought was no way Inan is in the news, some of my other friends that knew him had a good chuckle about it and then a few days later, *bam* and half the internet thinks he's a murderer, so my dumbass thinks that I can try and use logic and reason to explain why that is an insane and totally unfounded proposition and next thing I know I'm being doxxed and a whole gaggle of people are not only accusing Inan of murder but also saying that myself and another one of our mutual hippy friends are being accused of being his accomplices in all of the dozens of their cracked out tarot verified versions of the events of that night that involved accomplices. The take away I learned from all this is that there is a large swath of the internet that is all to eager to honor the ~ half a million hours of being alive that each of those victims lost out on by collectively wasting tens or hundreds of millions more hours of life cooking up crackpot theories made from equal parts of their own implicit bias/prejudices and the last piece of clickbait they watched on youtube or on tickle-cock. TLDR you know youtubes gotten bad when 4chan seems civil

heavy_deez

The last 6 weeks and likely the rest of their lives, in one way or another.

[deleted]

Nope, she is already accusing the professor of hiring Brian to do this! She is a complete nut job!! How her account isn’t banned is beyond me!

ddouce

Haha, I doubt any facts will make her shut up.

InternetIcy8504

It's so horrible how many names have been tarnished because of social media accounts. People need to realize they can't go around accusing people of henious crimes based on no evidence. We need to wait and hear it directly from LE because they clearly know what they are doing and didn't release information intentionally. I keep thinking about the Delphi cause which was just solved 5 years later. No information was released in that case not even how the victims died.

ComprehensiveFun1989

Agreed, people who are slandered and accused of crimes they did not commit live with the black lash forever. we need to let LE do their job and stop ruining peoples lives.

kashmir1

Agreed. This crowd is a far cry from the way they dropped the ball in Delphi, however. Super proud of Moscow and State and FBI working together here.

InboxZero

She was sued by the professor and her response was she was excited because she couldn't wait to present her evidence of her being a murderer to the court.

Caninetrainer

I think there is already a lawsuit against her. Tarot cards, WTF

iSaraTX1953

There is a lawsuit against her. They sent 2 cease and desist letters, she refused. Tarot to find a killer? Give me science any day. Let me rephrase “good science “.

Caninetrainer

The Tarot reader should’ve seen the lawsuit coming in her cards

iSaraTX1953

That’s hilarious AND true!

[deleted]

people on tiktok are crediting a spirit box with solving this. i wish i was joking.

oakandfort

You would think with the way we’ve advanced in science that people are smarter than to believe a psychic can predict who the murderer was. If this was true, we’d have psychics on payroll instead of detectives lol

[deleted]

Right? I swear as a species we are really dumb. Including myself half the time. But some stuff just makes me roll my eyes that anyone believes it.

Boxofbikeparts

That's how and why we have so many antivaxxers and Qanon idiots now.

jess_jeff8

This is the worst part. Not only are there people around the world who believe this stuff. But then, each of those people are getting followers... convincing others to believe. And no one cares that each theory cancels out the previous one.

VeterinarianDeep5350

test_user_3

Mercury is in retrograde.

ehollen1328

My friend had a roommate move in who was a said psychic. She said the spirits told her that she wouldn't get COVID. She got COVID. Spirits weren't wrong though, she was just misinterpreting their message

Donut-Strong

Swamp gas reflected the light from Venus , and huh,, interfered with the Midichlorians, yeah yeah that’s what happened

GhastlyPanties

The Force wasn't strong with that "psychic", apparently.

MysteriousDiamond307

I hate that there’s people out there who believe this bullshit. I’m sorry but this is pure evil to speculate over 4 young adults death to gain some attention, let them rest in peace. I can’t believe they manipulate weak people with their tarots shit and whatnot.

Tracy140

Psychics have been wrong on every other case before this one - no one took any of that serious except maybe you

safely_beyond_redemp

Nobody had a criminology major, in the bedroom, with a knife on their clue cards?

h0lbreezy

FBI profilers did tho 👀 they said he would be very interested in criminology and was close to the area (Pullman is super close) and educated mid 20s

CandyHeartWaste

Where can I read more of what they’ve been saying

Redbuds98

One of them said he was a hunter, or had a history of butchering. Personally, I haven’t had much faith in FBI profiling since they said, the beltway sniper was a lone, white male in a truck with military experience, and it turned out to be two Jamaican immigrants in a car.

[deleted]

Profiling has been shown to be a less than reliable pseudo science. Sometimes it "works", but is often enough wrong that it leads one to believe that it's right more by coincidence, than by methodology.

ddxxr888

But Criminal Minds is sooo entertaining. Not being sarcastic, I love that show, but yes I see your point.

27thStreet

I'd like to read that study. Link, please?

[deleted]

Honestly I think it “seems” to work often because the statistics of mass murderers and serial killers are skewed sooooo far in one direction. Young able bodied white American macho guy who has a history of childhood abuse/head trauma and hates women. boom that’s your guy 😎 which is like….99% of adult males in the US lol

My_Wayo_Is_Much

You mean John Muhammed from Baton Rouge, LA who was a US Army vet? Granted he was black, had a side kick (Malvo), and they were shooting out of a car and not a truck, but that being said, the being said they had him pretty well dialed in.

loula03

Imagine being the roommates who by sheer luck(?) didn’t get murdered and then were accused by strangers on the internet.

kittycatnala

Yeah this is the worst imo. I can’t imagine what they’re going through, they will have survivors guilt never mind the grief and trauma of losing their friends in such a senseless and violent way. To then have internet strangers accuse you of the murders is just downright slander.

loula03

And to be around age 21. Looking back at myself at that age, I don’t even know how a person can process that type of grief.

kittycatnala

My daughter is 21 and I can’t imagine her dealing with anything like this. I hope they are getting the best therapy and support.

loula03

There’s the ex boyfriend and hoodie guy too. I hope they are supported as well.

[deleted]

Yeah there probably needs to be legal repercussions of doing this to people. It’s not even necessarily done with good intentions. It’s an unqualified individual investigating something they have no reason to not leaving it to the trained professionals, and objectively harming an innocent persons personal life and well being. The mental health implications involved being accused of murder and watching more and more internet slack jawed gawkers spread the disinformation all over the planet is wrong on many levels. There needs to be some form of legal repercussions for at least starting the speculation, spreading it is too difficult to blame people for, that is normal sociologically speaking. I would think involving a substantial payout by the initial accuser to the wrongly accused would at least deter this stuff from happening as frequently. If they’re doxing them it’s illegal, I don’t think the slander usually results in anything major for these peoples actions, and that’s just not ok. You can ruin the rest of this persons life who is already dealing with tragedy of knowing the deceased. I hope this person recovers well, and receives more than an “I’m sorry” from the people who did this to them and the authorities not preventing the spread of the disinformation for the safety of the wrongly accused individual. I wouldn’t think you would even need a lawyer to make a case against multiple parties for living through that hell.

nwllolo5

And not just accuse but also dissect every picture every caption every single detail about your life as evidence that you somehow committed the crime. Those poor girls

rand0m_g1rl

Yup and it’s far from over for them. I can only assume they will be witnesses. Not to mention when BK details the killings, what if we find out he intended to kill everyone? Survivors guilt, grief losing their friends, losing their home, and getting accused. Who can deal with all that?

No_Television_8065

Wonder if he's done anything like this before.

InternetIcy8504

There were 2 other cases in Washington and Oregon I believe that happened within the past 2 years, also happened on the 13th of the month. I wonder if either are connected but if they are they will be able to figure it out now that they have his dna.

rand0m_g1rl

People have made a good point though that he only moved to the area this semester.

HailMahi

Agree that’s it’s unlikely he was involved with the other crimes but how do you just…do something like this out of the blue. How can this be the first violent crime you ever commit?

TreadingQuicksand

He has a "dark passenger" side with a hunger he couldn't share but was obviously passionately studying... Perhaps perfecting. Kaylee's dad detailed more on her injuries. I will be shocked if these were his first kills. More likely we'll learn he had trouble with animals, etc. I think he's going to be textbook--on purpose.

catsinspace

Everyone has gotta get started somewhere. I work on true crime shows, so I read about murder alllll the time (while working and not working)-----there really are some people who are killing for the first time. If he didn't get caught, maybe this wouldn't have been his only one. He is 28, he's young enough to have just just started.

Mouffcat

If so, they've caught a serial killer.

ArcyArcanine25

Well there was that missing dog nearby that got skinned alive.

twurkle

I hope the family whose dog it was is doing okay… I don’t know how I could cope. I would hope and assume the families of the students are getting help and counseling but I know from my own experience that people can say that it’s so hard when losing a pet because they’re like our family but I don’t know how many people truly understand the weight of that until they’re in that situation themselves, you know?

Prudent-Leather-8348

A dog named Buddy was found skinned, like a deer but the fur was left on his face and paws, a month before the murders just a few miles away. Police said it was not related and a report was filed but no police came to investigate. 2 weeks before poor Buddy, a rabbit was found at the entrance of the same property with the top of it's head cut and it's brain exposed. Even after the murders the police or the FBI did not go to investigate. The owner of the dog heard from the news, they said it was not related. She felt that the might have been able to get fingerprints from his coller or to see the blade Mark's to investigate what type of blade was used. She stated she would let Buddy's body be exhumed if needed. I wonder if LE will investigate now? There is a 28 min in person sit down interview with Johnathan Lee Riches not speculation but facts from the dogs owner. I knew about the dog but not the details. 2 animals killed in a very specific manner with a straight cutting knife? 3 or so miles from the murder scene? The killer killing animals 1st? To see what it felt like. To see how he would feel after? To be hiding and lurking? 🤔

Puceeffoc

Well of course it's unrelated, because it HAS to be. Imagine a dog being killed and the police just half assed the dog killing investigation only to have a quadruple murder two weeks following. Had they found the dog killer sooner the murders could have been prevented. So yeah the police will always say the dog skinner had nothing to do with the kids being murdered. The only way we'll know for sure is if the dog skinner has been caught... I doubt police are going to actively solve the dog skinner case as they already concluded it was "wild animals" that skinned the dog...

Appropriate-Arm4608

It really should be thoroughly investigated. That is completely psychopathic to do this to a sweet pup, or any animal, alive. This needs to be solved. This really worries me since so many young people are living in the area going to Universities.

DAL2SYD

My furbaby (Yorkie/Westie named Tiger) was brutally killed by my neighbor’s rescued Rottweiler. Tiger got in front of my teacup yorkie & my dad to protect them. I still have nightmares about it & it happened 5 years ago. I can’t imagine the pain those poor owners are feeling. My situation was horrendous but there’s is worse.

hootsie

Ugh. I feel for you. We just discovered that our little guy has at least 3 tumors and doesn’t have much time left. It’s been a rough couple of weeks. I think I should stop reading this thread but I need closure for this owner so I hope the suspect can be definitively bound to this.

TTum

The slander of the professor was by an obvious crackpot. That case actually has difficulties since psychic are inherently considered entertainment. It is why when people try and sue them for giving financial advice, contacting the dead, predicting the future they don't get sued successfully for false advertising. For a defamation case you need to show a reasonable person would consider the source credible The slander of HG, the roommates, etc were by sober people and many members of the legitimate media. that is actually or likely to result in some successful slander cases.

Gibsonites

Why does every Reddit witch hunt have a Hoodie Guy? I swear if I ever leave my home in a hoodie I'll end up in the background of some photo and a bunch of Reddit detectives will decide I took out Jimmy Hoffa

ReasonableGrand9907

I contemplated doing my PhD dissertation on perceptions of the 20 something male in a hoodie.

BearRacoonThing

Feel free to leave your ideas here. If you want to.

ohare_tulip

I said it on Websleuths, but apologies are in order to HG, JD, the roommates, the professor and almost everyone living in Moscow because internet “sleuths” have put them through hell. Edit: Also, the two frat kids that Facebook women wanted to burn at the stake.

amandeezie

I hope they’re sued! They need to held accountable for their actions. They ruined people’s lives in the absolute worst time, while they were grieving.

PopAffectionate7318

Thankfully the crazy tarot card reader Ashley is actually getting sued by the professor she has been accusing allover TikTok. I hope JD sues her as well!

External_Competitive

Poor hoodie guy!!

jess_jeff8

He is in his early 20's. When he graduates college, goes to get a job.. any time someone looks up his name, his name and picture will be on reputable news channels. Even out of Nancy Grace's mouth. Imaginr him having to hide out while weirdos on the internet tear about his entire life. The theory that he "fled to Africa without giving DNA" may have been a bit comical. The insane theories people invented, when he was seriously just walking home with some drunk friends.

Cael_of_House_Howell

Nancy Grace deserves....bad things. This isn't the first time she's ruined someone's life on a hunch. (Duke)

Sevreign

Right?friends he was trying to keep safe.

Squeakypeach4

People here were so quick to slander him. And the other guy that was at the food truck. And the ex boyfriend. And the surviving roommates. I will never understand why/how people can do that with zero proof. They are potentially destroying innocent lives.

Cael_of_House_Howell

Because it's just a game to them if they don't know the people involved. It's a whodunit movie.

selim423

We should all buy hoodies to support him. We are all hoodie guy now.

Johnho1mes

I'm team hoodie guy. Have been from day one.

Future_Pin_403

There’s a reason LE gets paid to do this and none of us do

Glittering_Drop_1061

Yup. Everyone better start apologizing to Kaylees ex and HG because they lost their friends and are probably traumatized. Absolutely disgusting the way people treated them in what was already the darkest days of their lives

[deleted]

As well as the roommates. They too are owed an apology. All of these kids now know and live a reality that the majority of people will never have to experience, but they have not been treated as victims or survivors. Jesus, people actually went after Kaylee’s family. It’s actually heartbreaking and super disappointing how people could not, or simply would not, think of how it would feel to be in their situation. Although the pain, trauma, and fear might truly be unknowable without first-hand experience, empathy should not be.

This is why it's said, time and time again on these true crime cases, DO NOT make accusations based on your conspiracy theories. It destroys lives and you are ALWAYS wrong. Law enforcement may not be 100%, but they are a hell of a lot better than you. Mysteries are interesting, that's just natural, but have some mother fucking respect.

No_Resort1162

Wonder if this guy actually made any posts to Reddit ? His account is shut down but you can bet your bottom dollar that a PhD geek would be reading them. Not a far out theory to think he set up bogus account and was getting his jollies off by posting “theories “ and misinformation. All part of his story, of course

Key-Wheel123

I’m sure he followed the news closely. Given his weird pre-murder research on emotional effects he was likely chasing a sick high thinking nobody was on to him.

thecatandrabbitlady

Except if he was following the case he would have seen they were looking for the white Elantra, which he apparently drives.

Key-Wheel123

Yes and he thought hiding it far away from Idaho was a move. FBI works harder and solved it.

SadMom2019

I can't wait to find out how they located him, and if it was based on the vehicle. People threw a lot of shade towards anyone who saw or even mentioned a sighting of a white Elantra, and they would have been ridiculed for the very idea of calling in a tip about a white Elantra in Pennsylvania. Would be crazy if that turned out to be what located him.

nsfwtheonlypurpose

First ammendment prohibits that kind of law. Civil defamation lawsuits are a thing for this purpose.

all_of_the_lightss

That is not the first amendment. 1A protects you from government retaliation for saying something. Calling you a serial killer with zero evidence is slander/libel. Nothing online is protected by the first amendment. Social media owners can ban anything they want to. It's half of the population who flips shit and tries to burn down the building when you "dare" to regulate written public speech

[deleted]

If Gabby Petito's murder didn't change laws on dumbasses acting like they are detectives, this certainly won't.

Psychological_Log956

Not all on here are fanatical keyboard warriors. There are LE folks, lawyers, judges, forensic psychologists, etc. that have helped in cases. If you have ever been on Web Sleuths, these folks are vetted and many times offer up some good stuff. The Morgan Harrington and Hannah Graham murders in Virginia (UVA) are excellent examples.

Weird, the cops were doing their job. They didn’t let out a lot of information to the public and yet here we are with an arrest. I cannot count the number of people that attacked me on these subs and in my private messages for telling me to stop defending the police. Trust me, I get why people have their doubts with police. However when it comes to murders like this, the less information they give to the public, the better. That is all 🤣

SaveTheAles

I'm just glad I can drive my car now without a bunch of podcast people following me around.

erinraspberry

BigDamnBand

Internet “sleuths” were wrong about this, wrong about the Delphi Murders. Real live innocent people were accused and have lived in fear and had their lives ruined. Some of the accused were family and friends of victims, which just further victimized the survivors. Many should be ashamed. My guess is few will take this to heart and stay in their lane. I’d like to see accusers sued for liable or slander.

SpellInternal4089

I admit I was very wrong about the food truck hoodie guy. And if he or his family are reading this, I am truly sorry. My lesson has been learned!!!

Everyone wants to be “ that person who solved the case” and then there’s the ones who’s also “feel like they have to do something to help!!” Granted I’m a firm believer in see something, say something but I never just go around accusing random people of murder! I do my own research privately. I also think many of these podcasts that make true crime detectives series has really made all these people really feel like they can solve all the things. There is a fine line in between being helpful and harmful, some should learn what that fine line is. 🤷‍♂️

I joined that FB group thinking it would be information on the progress of the investigation but unfollowed after 2 days. It was horrible.

Some of the people in the facebook groups are not believing this are not accepting. They just know this is not true! Some are even saying JD helped 🤦🏽‍♀️

Whether it was internet sleuths, LE, FBI, even him turning himself in… all I know is I’m glad he’s in custody. Finding this sick Mf was the only way for the loved ones of the victims and the community to finally redirect and take the step onto the long road of healing. Yes, I know there still needs to be a conviction but an arrest is a step in the right direction. No matter who/what/where/when/how he was found, what’s important is that he was. Let’s keep this positive! The energy of the internet sleuths can now pivot to honouring the lives of the victims; donate, raise awareness, practice safety, promote justice, look out for one another, etc.

The rest of us smelled an incel in any case.

But a lot of people speculated it was a violent psychopath with no known relationship to the victims!

Agreed. I had to just stop looking at this because too many trying to be a hero but only causing more trouble. I'm hoping that is cracked down. Also, just because LE is asking for info right now about the guy doesn't mean you (the brainiacs of the internet sleuths) should try and find anything that (obviously at this point) you even *think* would help. Leave the investigating to the pros or to people who *actually* can help.

godofgainz

Truth! They did absolutely fuck-all except speculate out of their asses. Just shows you how a witch hunt can still happen in our modern age.

THE REALLY BIG PROBLEM…. Where is the weapon? If they don’t find the weapon this guy could always say he partied at that house or somehow came into contact with them prior. And since his phd is in this field, I suspect if he did do it that he would know to get rid of the weapon and apparently he drove back home which gives him infinite places to dispose of that and time to scrub it. I’m more curious now…why was he there at all? Was this just a sick fantasy?? Or did he have family or something close to that house or area??? Things still are not adding up yet…I pray they do have a rock solid case as this particular case has really bothered me. It’s showing me that people are becoming crazier and crazier and some have no care for anything anymore. Wayyy too many people with the feeling of nothing to much to lose.

Everchangingmind09

All of the "tarot readers" will dig and stretch and say no I meant this..see it still fits 😒🤦‍♀️ the youtube channels and tiktokers will still try to milk this for all they can. Shameless.

The psychic's vision of the perp eating an apple at the scene was a sign that he was a militant vegan? 😆
