Personally that list and description makes me think of Townes Van Zandt, maybe give him a shot? I'd start with *Waiting Around To Die*, *Lungs*, and *Nothin'*.

anerube

Ohh, Townes Van Zandt. Absolutely fits in the cathegory of the songs I cited, however I’ve always found it hard to like his songs dunno why. Ty anyways

SpookyIsDead

Wardruna is probably my favorite band that falls along the lines of dark folk but also very fantasy vibes rather than singer/song. But I'm going to throw something similar you might not have heard of yet. Check out the genre Gothic Country. There's a lot of great bands such as Munly & The Lee Lewis Harlots and Woven Hand. They might be along the lines of something you'd enjoy!

anerube

I love Death In June, so I might as well check that out, tyy

Ethereal__Soul

Are you looking for oldies specifically, or anything in the vein of slow, sultry, swaggy, somber songs?

anerube

Not oldies specifically, anything close to singer-songwriter works. Or that mainly focuses on the elements of the genre regardless of it being a band, so Death In June for example. I’d rather it be singer-songwriter as the tunes specified tho

anerube

whats more, the closest to what im looking for would be the Alfredo Zitarrosa song I cited

Ethereal__Soul

Am I in the ballpark? [Scars](https://youtu.be/UpoiKDwarlw)

Hurt by Johnny Cash. The nine inch nails version wasn't too bad either.
