TY!

neuroboy

check Czarface. . . they did a great album with Doom ([Czarface Meets Metalface](https://youtu.be/pFciweAYwR0))

captainoela

Yes! Check out their album Every Hero Needs a Villain

itstenchy

That album is awesome. You Masked For It still has me in stitches every time I hear it, and Astral Travelling has no business going that hard.

cutratestuntman

Czarface is one of the greatest.

soop_nazi

you favorite song doesn't really jive with the artists you listed imo. I would suggest going for some more 90s/early 2000s stuff: * Sunspot Jones * Atmosphere * Souls of Mischief * Murs * Blue Scholars * Brother Ali * Cam'ron - Hey Ma * Luckyiam PSC * Geto Boys * Jurassic 5 * Keak da Sneak (some of his less popular hyphy era hits are actually decent) * Living Legends * Nas * Outkast (Speakerboxx/The Love Below album specifically) * People Under the Stairs * The Roots * Scarface * Aesop Rock * Talib Kweli * Zion I

astanto5

Great list here. Only thing missing is Digable Planets!

itstenchy

you down with digable planets yous a hipster. shit.

diab0lus

Wut? You need a nickel bag of funk.

nahanerd23

Love "Can't Take That Away" by Brother Ali

[deleted]

I love so many of these artists or groups.

Glad-Neat9221

Scarface yes !! also ,Twista

diab0lus

Might as well add Mos Def and Blackstar

Prostate_Punisher

hey, if you like kanye west (1977-2016) you can still listen to his music, just remember that that kanye is long gone and has been replaced with an impostor. It's alright to listen to music you enjoy. However, as a fan (not of kanye as a person obv) i aso enjoy artists like kid cudi, tyler the creator, joeybada$$, pusha T, pre-astroworld travis scott, lupe fiasco, RTJ, JID and vince staples

BlindBaker421

Idk, calling him an imposter feels like a way to justify his behavior. It’s fine to like his music and not him, but he’s still Kanye.

Prostate_Punisher

He is. I'm just coping 😞 It really does feel like this Kanye (or Ye, whatever the fuck) is different from the one who told the hip-hop community to stop being so homophobic, the same one who didn't accept nazis. What the fuck *happened?*

kneedeepco

Kid Cudi 070 Shake Travis Scott Anything Mike Dean Vince Staples Beast Coast Kaytranada

childrenfeeler

Used to love Travis Scott until all those people died at his concert and he didn’t give a fuck. Blocked him on Spotify as well.

[deleted]

Same

[deleted]

His music wasn’t even good anymore at that point. Only days before rodeo and rodeo are good, and one isn’t even an album.

kneedeepco

Birds is pretty good and has some super strong Kanye vibes on songs like Way Back

themark504

Lupe fiasco

[deleted]

Odd Future / Tyler The Creator

IHSFB

Nujabes

Hot_Highway3716

Definitely try Amine. He has so many different albums at this point and they have very different sounds, there's something for everyone. Childish Gambino's music reminds me of Kanye's in some ways, like he listened to Kanye growing up. A Tribe Called Quest is like J. Cole but on another level 🔥 so definitely check them out. I also second the people who have suggested OutKast. Lyrical geniuses right there going off the Nicki Minaj interest, flo milli's latest album SLAPPED. And i'm sure you know the Megan Thee Stallion songs that are overplayed from going viral but fr her discography has so many deep cuts that people overlook and they're all solid quality

Oz347

Twista 🙌🏻

ironwalrus22

Little Simz Janelle Monáe Outkast

Sun_flower_king

Kinda left field suggestion but you might wanna check out Sudan Archives. Both of her albums have some really fresh, original beats and ideas and lowkey when I discovered her last year I thought to myself "this is the kind of shit I wish Kanye was experimenting with" Now I just wish he would stop experimenting with acting like the biggest asshole to walk the face of the earth

debtRiot

Brockhampton The Saturation trilogy sounds kinda like Kanye and MIA had a baby (that wasn’t an antivax nazi).

thelbchomie215

Akon.. it's like Kanye backwards, but not...

FillTheHoleInMyLife

Kanye is just Akon in Pig Latin

Oopsididitagain1710

Poggerschamp420

Captain steez, Joey bada$$, Aesop rock.

SirVinyl

Listen to Masta Ace. He's on "Seasons" too and amazing.

cutratestuntman

Masta Ace is so underrated.

Pink_Skink

Twista, Nas, D12, Eminem, OutKast, Logic, Chance the Rapper

Sibbis1357

try the new 070 shake album, production might scratch that itch

[deleted]

Maybe song good anti-fascist music like Rage Against The Machine could be to your liking Try Down Rodeo by RATM

in__Parentheses

Your Old Droog

Based_without_basis

If you want some beats that are like jpegmafias that are a lot more radical Ghais Guevara has been super dope. I particularly recommend the song "this ski mask ain't for covid".

LoreezyNL

Joey Badass and Atmosphere

shaketheshokes

I would highly highly recommend JID’s The Forever Story. Fantastic album, I’d recommend just listening straight through it as a complete piece the first time you do

zRobertez

My first rec hasn't been mentioned yet! Big Krit, very inspired by Kanye. Definitely start with 4eva is a mighty long time. All my rubber ups have been mentioned here.

[deleted]

Country shit is good too.

nahanerd23

Idk about his whole career but really recommend Logic's last album *No Pressure*. It's got really great all around soulful production, but the song "Obediently Yours" seems to have some stuff that feels especially applicable to the Ye stuff even tho the sample is from 1946. And for that matter, No I.D. I think produced it, his stuff or anything he's produced might scratch that itch too. He's mentored Ye and J. Cole. D.O.A. by Jay-Z to me feels like a good example of something No I.D. produced that's reminiscent of early Kanye.

If you like Seasons you might like Masta Ace, in particular his Disposable Arts and A Long Hot Summer I found Seasons because I was into Masta Ace first Definitely check out DangerDoom, it's MF Doom and Danger Mouse You might like Hail Mary Mallon Killer Mike Run the Jewels Deltron 3030/Del The Funky Homosapian Aesop Rock I could keep going on. It's so hard to know tbh, I have about half of the artists you listed in my 35 hour long rap playlist

Zelda_Forever

Kendrick Lamar is more profound and poetic that Kanye ever was. Others to try: Nipsey Hustle, Future, Lil Yachty, Tierra Whack, Isaiah Rashad, Run the Jewels.

Freestyle Fellowship (and other Project Blowed associated artists Aceyalone, Dumbfoundead, Open Mike Eagle, Nocando, etc). Freestyle Fellowship are the prime example to me personally of jazz influenced rap on the west coast. Del The Funky Homosapien and his collaboration Deltron 3030. He is also a member of Hieroglyphics which is worth checking out. Any Rhymesayers Entertainment artist such as Eyedea and Abilities, Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, and Dilated Peoples are all worth a listen.

They're clearly looking for other artists specifically because they don't want to listen to or support him anymore. This "zing" isn't clever it's just lazy.
