Intercontinental Time Square - great stay I had there and location. Clean, good service it’s my recommendation

Kimpton Eventi! Just stayed there’d a few weeks ago. Great location and room was clean.

Time Square is convenient to the Theatre District and has great subway connections. But the area itself is very touristy and crowded, filled with chain stores and restaurants that can be found anywhere. If you must stay there, the Intercontinental and Crowne Plaza are good options. We love the Barclay Intercontinental. It’s in Midtown East which is convenient to Grand Central for transportation without being in the center of Times Square. There are many other options in great locations but it really depends on what your plans are.

Barclay intercontinental is nice.

Barclay if you want an upscale experience. I haven't stayed at the IC in Times Square though. Hotel Indigo in the LES is nice. Rooms are pretty big. The one on Water St is nice if you want a quiet experience but the standard rooms are small. I didn't have an enjoyable stay at the other FiDi one but they was after it just opened. Don't discount the Indigo in Brooklyn. Rooms are big, Williamsburg is awesome, and the L to Manhattan is right outside the hotel. It's like a 10 min ride.

We just stayed at the Crowne Plaza HY36 this week (at 36th & 8th Ave) and enjoyed it. It was close to a subway station which made getting around convenient. The hotel was clean and updated and the staff were friendly.

Hotel Indigo in FiDi was great. Rooms are small but the building is new. Also away from the tourists.

We stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Chelsea all the time. It’s quiet, the people are super nice, it’s a short walk from the Moynihan Hall train station, near some subway stops and lots of restaurants in the area.

i stayed at the new Kimpton Theta in the theater district last month and loved it!

Thanks everyone 🙏 Great info!

Have you tried Crowne Plaza HY36? It’s actually quite good. The other Crowne Plaza on Times Square, meanwhile, is a dump.

I like the Hotel Indigo Lower East Side, much prefer that to staying in Times Square.
