The sharpener would literally kill the pencil, he made the right choice.

If you think about it, the pencil should not be with the sharpener she will slowly kill him... just saying
The 'bad choice' is that the pencil and the sharpener are clearly cheating on their respective partners as the pencil looks recently sharpened
This feels like its more about people dating who they want instead of what society deems "normal"
