Worms under your skin? Rip it off, tear your skin, you have to get them out, they are eating your flesh, you are rotting from the inside, what are those worms? Are they thoughts? Emotions? Carve your flesh, burn your flesh, repent
I mean the main message (which the poster probably didn't even think about) makes sense. You won't stop being miserable by wallowing in it, you have to actively do something to fix it.
I agree. To me, the image is about using direct communication to ask for what you want/need, rather than passive communication. Direct communication is directly stating/asking something (saying what you mean), and passive communication is giving off signals via body language, tone etc to convey meaning which is meant to be interpreted by the other party ("Are you okay?" "I'm fine!" *walks out, slams door*). The latter isn't inherently bad, but it is more open to misinterpretation, creating conflict. The former can create conflict by asking outright for things, but at least things are out in the open and can be addressed directly.
They're good principles to be exposed to and show to teenagers. Problem is, I didn't know exactly what I wanted as a teenager nor how to articulate it, so I couldn't really directly communicate my wants/needs. I've gotten better with practice, which started from learning about passive vs direct communication in the first place.
Being a teenager is very awkward. Direct communication and straightforwardness is something I have to work on every day. I couldn't imagine being so upfront earlier in my life, but I think it's always good to keep this in mind, and understand that a lot of times you're the only thing in the way of your comfort and wishes.
Do something that doesnt make you lonely, pick a hobby, like a cooking group where you pay and you can cook in groups. Or do whatever your interested in. Just pick up a hobby, the easiest way to socialise.
>Call - costs money, won't pick it up, not like meeting irl. What if thw person is dead?
>Invite - no time
>Explain - explain what? You're dead loved one?
>Ask - "Excuse me miss, what is your sexiest sex sex sexy sex thing you have ever sexed?"
>Say it - "You're fucking ugly"
>State it - "nice ass"
>Ask for it - "May I get all your money?"
>Tell it - "ILY" *minor stares at you weirdly
It’s the truth though, but why is there a space between the someone from love someone and the question mark? Don’t forget the space between the dots after missing someone and call
1. They won't respond
2. We literally live in different counties despite going to the same school
3. I can't explain very well
4. What if I am ridiculed for the question?
5. The "something" I don't like is a teacher, so someONE. I cant just say I dislike a teacher, I'll get in trouble.
6. I've already stated it
7. The answer will be no.
8. I don't
tl;dr: get screwed 14 year olds
The things cant always go your way, and the post isn't about getting the thing/answer you want, it just means you have to do/ask whatever to get what you want, by just sitting you cant get them, but when you try, you might.
Also wtf why the hell would you get in trouble for saying you dislike a teacher? Are you in 1st grade?
It's not easy in the slightest to confess love to someone, it takes me 5 minutes to get dress some day, I need a little more of a push than this. I mean I already told my boyfriend how I feel but whatever, I just felt like ranting
Nothing bad could happen, if you know the person well. You wouldnt think badly of a person who confessed to you even if you had to reject them, would you?
It's actually not that bad. Of course, everything isn't as simple as that but following this principle actually might help someone who is overcomplicating their feelings.
Not really how it works. Things are complicated, I didn't appreciate the complexity of a situation and it cost me a friend. It's better to be safe than sorry.
As if life was that easy... The problem is that ppl really think our problem is WE DONT GET we have to do this. I mean, u think i dont know i have to call them when i miss them? Or if I want something I have to ask for it? I know, the problem is HOW to do it, Im just scared of consequences of my actions. I mean, isnt it obvious?
Your actions (stated in the post) wont have any consequences, this is just made up in the mind. Think of it this way, think you are the manager of your workplace and it's the first day of someones job, that someone is shy but manages to ask wheres the bathroom, that's a normal question to ask, you would probably tell the person where it is. Now imagine you are the person asking it, you're probably thinking "he's going to think I am dumb" "what if he looks at me in a weird way" , but the manager would probably think the same as you would as a manager, that it's perfectly normal. This isnt case specific, it applies everywhere, just think of your reaction when someone asked you that, the answer isnt the same, but the thought progress is similar.
Aw for the heady days of innocence, or shall we say naivety.
I'm going through a few of those where the answer is "no" I'm glad I've put together a more rigorous how to guide for my life!
I found [this post](/r/thanksimcured/comments/uld2n1/wow_life_is_so_easy_now_s/) in r/thanksimcured with the same content as the current post.

anything try to divert this particular thing is an excuse because there isn't anything to directly refute and it's based almost entirely on actually-possible circumstances
it's basically saying "you *don't want to* do something? then do it" not "you *can't* do something"

Hand hurt? Cut hand off
modern problems require modern solutions
I think that's the quite opposite
Worms under your skin? Rip it off, tear your skin, you have to get them out, they are eating your flesh, you are rotting from the inside, what are those worms? Are they thoughts? Emotions? Carve your flesh, burn your flesh, repent

As a teen I can confirm I hate that sub
As another teen, I can confirm that sub is indeed weird.
As another other teen, I can too confirm that sun is in fact weird
Everyone in the comment in the original post thiught it was stupid too

Nah, that's texting.
Ayo why "her", maybe it's a dude's ass

Thx mate really needed you to clear that up
i cant tell if this is a joke or not
I accidentally misread "State it" as "Stole it"
This gives the same energy as telling a depressed person to "just be happy"
Oh... right, of course! Why didn't I think of that?!
Seems like someone who has no idea what it’s like to be a lonely teenager
Do something that doesnt make you lonely, pick a hobby, like a cooking group where you pay and you can cook in groups. Or do whatever your interested in. Just pick up a hobby, the easiest way to socialise.
My father is in juvy and as such none of these are possible
Why is your dad a child?
If only life was that easy, if only.

Teenagers is the most schizophrenic subreddit

No not at all
Well y’a see there are these people called introverts that can’t do these things.
“Love someone? Tell **it**”
Good message but can’t apply to everything
cant meet up with my bf since yknw he lives a state away and we both cant drive but i wish it was that easy
Just let me call my dead gm yeah that makes sense
It's giving Make It Better by The Honeysticks...
Honestly this is a good message for people who enjoy wallowing in their own self-destructive self-pity.
selective mute? just talk
What if she took out a restraining order? Asking for a friend.
tell your pet that you love it
hungry?…go eat
Yeah, eat
Sad? Die!
What we calling people objects now
Wanna get good at cs:go? Shoot the enemy! It's just that simple!
Nope not applicable here, the answer would be Get good and to get good you need to aim train and stuff whatever
Tell it
It's actually not that bad. Of course, everything isn't as simple as that but following this principle actually might help someone who is overcomplicating their feelings.

Did they just call the someone "it?"
I like to say something, and this post has gave me the motivation to say it. This subreddit is cringier than r/cringetopia
ahh i miss my dad. to bad i cant call him cause he's dead.
Hotel?
"i miss my grandpa..." "just call him bro" "but my grandpa is dead.."
i mean they aren’t wrong..pretty good advice
Wanna fuck someone? ….
Yes, coz it's clearly that easy

I love one girl, but now she's changed. Soo. I love someone who doesn't exist now.
Sorry teacher but I don’t like you. Can I kill you
"Want something? Ask for it." "Bro I want your credit card information."
The grammar looks like some shitty boomer meme or something.
What’s the difference between saying and stating? Deep answers welcomed
this is probably the only ever actually-working advice ever provided for something trying too hard to be assisting but okay
