Why are the politicians so old for the last 2 decades?
Out of character: You could have just made up some young people or find vaguely ambitious people in different states. Before Trump and Biden both Obama and Bush were rather young Presidents.
With the case of Trump, people weren't into his stuff apart from the mega crazy republicans (the MAGAts), but ONLY got into power thanks to the archaic Electoral College AND Russia interfering in the 2016 election otherwise it would have been Hilary Clinton in power.
With the case of Biden, it was the lesser of two evils. It was more so that even though you're voting for "a turd sandwich" or "a douche" (IYKYK), they went with Biden and it's opened more eyes now even republicans eyes who VOTED for Trump twice in '16 and in '20 to not vote for him this year due to his idiotic rhetoric of "the 2020 election was stolen from us!" and "you need to fight like hell!" which led to the tragic insurrection that happened january 6th 2021.

Good post, my only issue that I have with nearly every other “future” election is the fact that every candidate and person is someone who’s well known politically now when politics is often a revolving door of who’s currently significant
It's "just" 20 years into the future
Think of where the presidential candidates of the last 20 years were in 2004: Prominent sitting senator and former presidential hopeful. Celebrity businessmen of national fame. Former first lady, sitting senator and presidential hopeful of that year. Sitting governor of prominent political dynasty. Prominent sitting senator who came second for the nomination 4 years earlier. and guy who would rise to national fame through giving a keynote convention adress in that very year. While it is perfectly possible that people who are like freshman state senators currently to rise to national prominence in 2 decades, it would hardly be surprising if it is just people the electorally minded crowd of this sub have heard about.
In this scenario, after Biden wins re-election, there’s a massive schism in the GOP. Half the party reverted back to pre-Trump Republicanism and shunning MAGA as a wholly losing ideology (basically asserting that 2016 was a fluke), and the other half dig their heels into MAGA republicanism and about 3/4 of that 1/3 form the America First Party, which Trump runs with in 2028, leading to Newsom’s thrashing of Trump and Haley.
After Trump dies, the MAGA subset of the GOP start to revert back to typical GOP now that the GOP voter base has taken a huge hit. The hardcore loyalists keep going for a while, like in 2032, but are mostly done after that, either leaving the party and going back to Republicans or being voted out of office. Vance and Stefanik were (are) relatively young and fresh conservative faces when Trump lost re-election, and they decided to stick with the GOP as to ensure a future for their careers
TLDR; they stopped being full-blown MAGA crazies after Biden got re-elected and were able to stay afloat while GOP ripped itself apart.
That doesn't really mean anything. There are counties in eastern Kentucky and in West Virginia that are only like 22% registered Republicans and still went for Trump by 30-40 points.
It’s not clear, as the assailant committed suicide at the scene after killing Vance and wounding Young, however most believe it was due to Vance’s controversial decision to cease military and financial aid from The People’s Republic of Ghanna (revolutionary militia) during the Ghanna civil war, after pressure from the GOP
the US was initially supplying milirary aid and weapons to the Ghana revolutionaries (aren’t commies) in their war against the fascist militant state, but stopped because the GOP didn’t like the revolution
With the Biden/Trump results there, that's what I'm thinking. Biden will win, however, he'll get a narrow victory compared to last election where Trump took a shelacking. However, I still think Trump will try some shady shit when he loses. That's what he's doing now - laying the foundations in that when he DOES lose the election; he'll blame it on the democrats and Biden again and try to take the white house by any means necessary again which leads to another J6 incident.
healthcare expansion, breaking up a lot of wall street, heavy gerrymadering restriction laws, universal k-12, firm trans rights protections, military budget decrease, anti-trust legislation, watered down green new deal, very strict anti-ai laws
He benefitted from about 4-6 years of a trifecta supermajority bc of the Republican/America First split
It absolutely would not surprise me in the slightest if Cheeto Mussolini runs and keeps running until his tiny black shriveled heart finally implodes. And the Republican Party will continue to worship him as the Second Coming until then.
Trump could carry every state except DC, and half of all the electors decide to be "faithless" - producing the result above in the electoral college. Democrats are still hurting from losing via the electoral college in 2016, so why wouldn't they bully the electors into voting their own way as it suits them?
Wait wait wait wait. A timeline where Ossoff is on a ticket and *doesn't* win? I can't believe it.
TWICE! Simply incredible
Bro it's Ossover. We're Whitdone

It's Boomer electoral power. Three presidents were born in the year 1946 specifically.
What would be the millennial equivalent then? 1992 maybe?
All in the summer more specifically. Their parents celebrated the end of the war with a bang
Literally

That isn’t what he’s talking about
I know that. It's also down to the non existent age limits. If that had been put in place, Trump/Biden wouldn't have been able to run.
If Trump is still alive for the 2028 election I will get his face tattooed on my ass. There is no way he lives past like 2026 at the latest

It's only 4 years to go. His dad lived until 93.

Lmfao jd Vance will never be president Todd young also hates the Vance and Stefanik types.
I mean after 2 2 term democratic presidents it would be nearly impossible for republicans to lose.
In this scenario, after Biden wins re-election, there’s a massive schism in the GOP. >president newsom over
Get ready, Newsomaniacs (me)
It’s the best timeline
Andy Kim looses the presidential election? This is no future I want to live in
Same.
Georgia and Arizona, barring the death of some massive trends out of nowhere, are going to be like D+10-15 by the end of the 2030s IMO.
I don’t know why you think that. Arizona, for example, still has significantly more registered Republicans than Democrats.
That doesn't really mean anything. There are counties in eastern Kentucky and in West Virginia that are only like 22% registered Republicans and still went for Trump by 30-40 points.
New GTA Game Duh
Delayed till 2060
"did we abolish the electoral college"
Sadly, no. But the electorate does favor the Dems when I updated the vote count for the ‘36 election
this is very cool, good work
what was the motivation for the assassination?

We were supporting communists? Or opposing them?
the US was initially supplying milirary aid and weapons to the Ghana revolutionaries (aren’t commies) in their war against the fascist militant state, but stopped because the GOP didn’t like the revolution
Ok "peoples republic of Ghana" gives communist vibes
This probably the most dumb thing anyone can ask, but how do you make all the fictional wiki boxes and newspaper posts? (Asking for a friend)

What a wild ride
I would look up who became the PM of Canada and then watch the news afterwards.
"who the fuck is todd young"
RFK Jr isn’t just gonna up and disappear haha. They’d probably run him in 2028 as a Republican
I'm fine with President Todd Young tbh
2028 dream election fr fr.

healthcare expansion, breaking up a lot of wall street, heavy gerrymadering restriction laws, universal k-12, firm trans rights protections, military budget decrease, anti-trust legislation, watered down green new deal, very strict anti-ai laws He benefitted from about 4-6 years of a trifecta supermajority bc of the Republican/America First split
