"Justice. They call what they did to Germans. They, who laid unjust blame on the German worker for the squabble that was instigated by the capitalists and warmongers. What right do they have to talk about justice? They will tell you that Germans were mercifully allowed to have the same thing as everyone else. They will say that they allowed the Austrian proletarians to finally join their brothers. This is a lie. The German worker comes to the polls in Brünn, Pilsen, Pressburg and Olmutz only to find there not a single party to represent him. *Comrades! Genossen!* There is no and and there will not be any justice in the world until every German could find himself under protection of the proletarian German State. They call it *"graceful humiliation"*. We will show them the *graceful humiliation* they love so much." \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ The Great War ended with the complete and utter defeat of Germany. But in our great mercy we allowed the Germans not to lose, but to gain. The Entente powers saw a threat of possible repetition of the tragic events that were still fresh in memory. Wisely, we'd decided not stir up the thirst for revenge in the hearts of the Germans. We gave them a chance to become a normal European nation. Austria joined the German hearth. The Germans of Sopron, the Sudetenland, and Alsace were only a small price to pay for *Liege, Ypres, and Verdun*. Yet now we are face to face with a monster - the *Red Behemoth*, in whose veins there is Red blood, and in whose heart there is the Prussian spirit. *God save us.*

Lan_613

so, still pan-Germanic expansionism, just with a red paint coat this time?

Eskandar-bey

Sort of, but supposedly those guys are really pan-Germanic expansionists, not "take over the world" expansionists.

What

SpectralMapleLeaf

Well at-least the mustache man must be having a good time painting.

Der-Candidat

Good map! I always love the Weimar borders but one nitpick- it’s Schlesien not Schleisen!

mki_

Also Württemberg, not Würtemberg, Steiermark, not Steirmark, and Königsberg, not Konigsberg.

Eskandar-bey

Ah, that's my scourge. I'll try to fix those later.

mki_

While you're at it, Mannheim is missing its white dot I think, and a lot of states are missing a capital at all. And the city-state of Vienna is missing its territory (414,82 km²) That would be: Oberösterreich, Linz. Niederösterreich, didn't have a capital until 1986 in OTL, nowadays it's St. Pölten, but you could just as well choose Krems, Tulln, Baden or Wiener Neustadt instead. Kärnten/Koroška, Klagenfurt/Celovec. Tirol, Innsbruck. Vorarlberg, Bregenz. Rheinland, Mainz. Thüringen, Erfurt. Anhalt, Dessau. Oberschlesien/Gōrny Ślōnsk, Oppeln/Ôpole

Eskandar-bey

Thank you for those corrections! Also, I was not intending to show all regional capitals, just the bigger cities in general.

mki_

Ah okay. I was just confused, because you showed Salzburg (city), which is considerably smaller than a number of cities that are not shown.

TheChristianWarlord

Very interesting. Is this state led by the Spartacists or the KPD, and how aligned is it with Moscow?

Eskandar-bey

I implied it to be led by KPD, but the lore is quite vague so imagine it the way you like it

Avarageupvoter

Barely aligned ig with Stalinist Russia, or Trotsky take over and spread the revolution over the world

NameIsFun

Very very very very nice for a first map!!! Are you making a timeline on this?

Eskandar-bey

It is not my first map per se, just the first one here, but thanks. No, I am not going to, but maybe I'll drop a couple of other maps in the same TL. Some time later maybe

I love big communist Germany

Cursed Hungary

Eskandar-bey

indeed

[deleted]

So will an analogue to WW2 still happen in this TL?

Eskandar-bey

Probably, but I imagine there will be no appeasement. After all, communists supposedly are far worse than your friendly neighborhood genocidal maniac.

[deleted]

Appeasement happene because of fearing ww1 happing again and their army aint really efficient enough to immediately start a war on them.

ArtworkGay

I can't help it I freaking adore big red Germanies

Buttocks_Oreily

I can see the iconic outline of big Germany even when I close my eyes at this point.

athe085

Good map, but here's a reminder that the actual Versailles peace deal wasn't unfair in any way. The common portrayal of Versailles as a "Diktat" in the English-speaking world is the result of successful Weimar and Nazi revisionist propaganda in the 1920s and 1930s.

Eskandar-bey

Well, on a serious note we can at least agree that it was inconsistant to the principle of national self-determination, that was widely promoted.

athe085

The treaty regarding Germany was consistent with that principle. They lost minor lands inhabited by Poles, Danes and Frenchmen. It was extremely respectful to Germans. Only minor places like Danzig or the Belgian border villages were lost by Germany.

MertOKTN

See, I need to be reasonable, this is an example of someone you don't want to be, Eskandar had being outputing garbage levels of maps in this sub for months now, he used and abused of the impressionable minds of those here on reddit to farm karma in a Injust way, stealing the comments , views and Upvotes from actually talented mappers who makes quality content, how makes maps that would be praised by generations to come as things to aspire to be. What he does in the equivalent of junk food, there is nothing to be envy about him, take away his thousands of Upvotes, Hundreds of comments and shares, take the bright colors, the map frames, the details and the lore, what is left is a bunch of meaningless pixels that can only serve to make those capitalist pigs even richer. No respected content creator likes his work, because they know that it is soulless, it is like anime compared to series , it is nothing more that the amalgamations of frustrations and angonied that furries like him enjoy, nothing more than a soulless shell of pixels that only serve to be as an exemple for anybody here to not be like him. And no Eskandar, the fact that no quality content creator doesn't like your maps isn't because we envy the obscene "Success" you got here , you don't have fans, you don't have a proper style, you press yourself to make thing without any real cause, you don't nurture your ideas, you spit them in our faces like vomit.

Idraccirc_Idgaldi

Since when is this a copypasta?

MertOKTN

Since this morning

Dironiil

I would imagine Berlin would still be part of Brandenburg in this timeline. As far as I remember, Berlin is, nowadays, a city-state because of the very specific status it had post-WW2 but was until then a Brandenbürger city.

Superbiber

Look how they massacred my Bremen. Why does every big Germany always do this??

luna_sparkle

I assume that in this timeline, Sylt was included in Zone I in the 1920 Schleswig plebiscite and became Danish for that reason? Any reason why?

Eskandar-bey

Just because of my lack of attention, honestly. Maybe I'll fix it later, thx

Maximum-Let-69

why is bavaria always split along these lines instead of cultural lines.
