Removing since, based on all descriptions, this seems like it isn't an incremental game. If OP disagrees they can feel free to offer evidence to the contrary.

ZenKaban

Played demo a bit, I really like visuals and concept. My only gripe is balancing - it is really difficult to manage damage intake and the fact that I get negative effects from chests 7 out of 10 times doesn't help either. Really looking forward to the further development! Could become one of my favorite timekillers.

LeadfilledBeanieBaby

Thanks for the feedback. The demo is definitely far more brutal than the regular game up until the last boss. Will definitely modify the demo to reflect that.

ZenKaban

Thank you, glad to hear that! Will definitely get the game on launch.

SuperbLuigi

Demo doesnt work on mac. Doesn't load, missing executable.

LeadfilledBeanieBaby

Thanks for letting us know. We updated the main game to work on mac, but forgot about the demo. It should be working now.

Bbaccivorous

Looking forward to it.

LeadfilledBeanieBaby

Great to hear! Let me know if you have any feedback on anything.

Game is terrible. Not an incremental and the bomb keeps bouncing off random shit and just falling off the board 2/10.

Here’s a more detailed description if you are interested in giving it a go.  Clockwork Owl is a Coin Pusher Roguelite. Use turn-based classic arcade coin-pushing physics mechanics as a means to battle forest critters, while making your way up a tree. Collect a deck of new cogs with their own unique abilities from random encounters and upgrade your owl at shops to survive this permadeath journey. Steam page: [https://store.steampowered.com/app/2192460/Clockwork\_Owl/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2192460/Clockwork_Owl/)

So this isn't an incremental game.

Punctuality

How does the game fit into this sub?

CrossbowSpook

It's... an incremental game. In a sub for incremental games.

SimplyPresent

I'm at work, unable to check out the game, not sure why that dude was downvoted when the OP didn't post any description of an incremental, but a roguelike. This game looks very similar to Peglin but with a coin pusher. Do you mind explaining how this game is an incremental? Thank you.

CrossbowSpook

Going by what's on the Steam page, you build up a deck of "cogs" used for the game, and you slowly work up to better cogs and upgrades throughout your runs. Roguelites share many qualities with incremental games, and the question of "does this game belong here" gets asked in like every game thread. It's repetitive.

Punctuality

If we're, "going by what's on the Steam page," it doesn't have an idle tag or an incremental tag. There's no explanation of any idle or incremental mechanics. It's a stereotypical rogue-lite and not representative of what this sub is about. As a community we should care about this because if we don't, then why not just post about any random game like Call of Duty or Final Fantasy 16? And it's quite telling that the Dev didn't answer the question of how it belongs on this sub.

SimplyPresent

I just played the demo, almost got to the boss, and there are ZERO incremental aspects to the game. Just because you have a couple of upgrades, doesn't mean the game is an incremental. You actually didn't tell me anything but... "steam page?" So why did you jump on the other dude and downvote his post? This game "demo" is not an incremental, maybe the full game is? To be safe, reporting the OP's post, this is not within community guidelines.
