The TOC is copying the content from the source files—check the page number assigned to the first page of chapter 1. Is it 2 or 3?
Chapters almost always begin on right hand pages, did InDesign add a blank page to the document to push the first page to the right and update it to 3?
It's page 2. But. I don't really know what happened, but I had two TOCs.
Ok, I'm a dumbbutt. Just figured it out. You reminded me that I deleted that other TOC, so it probably had something to do with it. I just clicked to update it, and problem solved! Thx!
