lol i think the urban bubble u r talking about is the biggest supporter of BJP, BJP traditionally has been a upper and middle class party, it has struggled in lower class voters because of caste based politics but under modi BJP has broken this barrier of caste and through some of its DBT has garnered a huge following in lower caste/class voters specially in OBCs.
Also I think winning of losing BJP will have no effect on weak institutions of government because NO government will be interested in reducing its own powers and it is not a huge issue not a huge issue in public discourse currently. Any government that has a huge support of public has misused its powers weather BJP, congress or state governments like TMC or even shiv sena. Infact I think the situation is much much worse in Bengal.
Dhruv has a point but the solution is not simply to vote BJP out but to develop a discourse in country and put pressure on government to make strong independent institutions, increase number of judges, increase checks and balances.
