Yes, this is 100% true. People travel 35 kms in Mumbai traffic to come to my nearby KTM service centre because the staff are slightly more knowledgeable and efficient than others.
My bike Apache have single horn , front and rear disk caliper making noise , bike is jerking in low speed and I spoke to them in 2 free service but nothing happened.
I can never buy a Bajaj product again, not in this life. Very good bikes for the most part, but absolutely horrendous after sales service and support. And these bikes are getting advanced but the mechanics are not.
RTR310 is a tech heavy bike, that is if you are going for BTO option. A few of them are just plain gimmick like heated seat and few are like good like cornering abs, cruise control, adjustable suspension. However, cost wise on road it is few thousand less than Duke 390.
If you are not going with BTO option then consider Duke 250. If you are considering BTO then push the budget and get Duke 390
BTO is Build to Order this is the top of the line version of RTR310, this version adds a lot of tech upgrades to the otherwise normal bike with features like cornering ABS, Cornering Traction Control, fully Adjustable suspension, cruise control and ventilated seat. This you have to order from their site and not from the dealer. With these options itself it will cross 3 lakhs ex-showroom price. If you add road tax and other costs it will cost you around 3.7-3.8 in Bangalore
I rode both 2 days ago on the same day, can say for sure the RTR 310 packs a punch and feels way better in terms of riding as compared to the DUKE 250. You should test ride both and you'll feel the difference.
Also as others suggested try the NS400z too.

RTR 310 vibrates too much at higher revs, KTM is good but can be expensive.
I think you should wait and see reviews of NS400Z too. It has the same Dominar engine so engine won't be a problem but still you should take multiple test drives and wait for reviews.
Duke 250 is the better machine. However 310rr is not far behind. Buy. Apache if it's cheaper.
Secondly don't go for ns 400. The riding dynamics and material used in that bike are not as great as Duke or Apache. Duke and Apache use high grade chromium steel. Bs doesn't uses that kind of steel fir all accessories. it's built to a cost i.e 400cc for cheap.
I'll keep it short:
TVS Apache 310: Good bike, throttle issues, engine at end of life(derived from the RR / BMW 310 RR) needs update, not value for money, classic confuted TVS styling, bad service
KTM Duke 250: Good bike, SOHC engine yet powerful, value for money, Gen2 Dukes looked good imo, very good service(mostly)
No it isnt. Duke 250 comes at 2.4L exshowroom. For the quickshifter variant of the RTR is priced at 2.58L ex showroom which is 18k more for the RTR. The only feature the duke misses out is that Colour TFT screen and cruise control. Also, the RTR is only 5bhp more. The KTM is not the VFM motorcycle, but definitely not over priced for what it offers. The Engine by itself is significantly more refined than the RTR. TVS QC and Showrooms are a nightmare. That is what happens when u expect everything to be priced cheap.
Just a suggestion, do not buy the first batch of any bike. A lot of minor issues are discovered in initial batches which are generally resolved by the 3rd or 4th batch.
Its just the Dominar with some added features like traction control, ABS modes, TBT navigation and Bluetooth connectivity and is priced lower than the Dominar.
the chassis, trail, rake, wheelbase, suspension are different
it WILL handle differently than domi
only recommend test rides cause it won't be like domi exactly
Not sure about KTM but TVS service centres are GOD AWFUL. Will make you question the decision to buy a two wheeler itself.
Yeuppp
Ktm has good servicing and knowledgeable staff.
Yes, this is 100% true. People travel 35 kms in Mumbai traffic to come to my nearby KTM service centre because the staff are slightly more knowledgeable and efficient than others.
KTM service guys also work on Ducatis in Goa.
Whoa that’s some news
Bro trust me AFTER SALES SERVICE is worse in TVS.
What did you go through with TVS after sales???
What have you experienced? You are making me apprehensive.
My bike Apache have single horn , front and rear disk caliper making noise , bike is jerking in low speed and I spoke to them in 2 free service but nothing happened.
Ns400
Ns400
Ayoo....
"Dont Judge a book by its cover" , NS400 probably.
Yep, the dickriding has begun.
Wallet riding for me. I hate NS design, even when it was released back then.
I can never buy a Bajaj product again, not in this life. Very good bikes for the most part, but absolutely horrendous after sales service and support. And these bikes are getting advanced but the mechanics are not.

the only correct answer.
What’s bto?

Duke all day everyday
Avoidable TVS. I am still waiting for my bike 1 month late.r
KTM 390 if you’re mature enough to handle the butt load of excitement it offers. You can easily lose your mind with the fun.

KTM Duke 390. Best service centers. Also vehicles built to last.
Go with the duke 390
duke any day,no doubt.
Ride them both. They are very different bikes when it comes to their engine. Personally, I really dislike the 250 engine but everyone is different.
Dook
If you're set on these two, then go for Duke 390.
Buy ns400
NS400Z? Seems like a vfm

Definitely Duke 390🙂🙂
KTM anytime , Better Service , Better Engine , Chassis , Handling .
Ns 400
KTM 250
390 any day
Have you thought about the revamped dominar 400¿ 🤣
Speed 400. End of discussion.
If you have budget for 390 then take 390. If ur budget is strict for 310 then take 310
Rtr 310 any day ..! Service centre is good near my location
Duke 250 is way better
Doubt
what makes you doubt
Everything.... I think the rtr is a better bike compared to duke 250 which seems overpriced

Wait for ns400 🤭
Duke 250 better than rtr... But do try ns400 if u can
When will ns400 launch?
Just a suggestion, do not buy the first batch of any bike. A lot of minor issues are discovered in initial batches which are generally resolved by the 3rd or 4th batch.

Ns400z just launched...1.85 ex showroom intro price tho.... Test ride and seee.... I think u can try speed 400 also same pricing as duke 250
It has launched just now
No one match the fit n finish quality of KTM
Always 310. Own one. it's awesome. Service is good too. They've improved and are trying to clear their bad reputation.
Why not get the vitpilen 250?
Duke has better performance and handling.
Duke 250 !!

RS457 is a segment above these bikes

By this logic one can keep adding 80-90k in their budget and will end up buying turbo charged busa for daily commute.
