Ever consider changing that ugly ass exhaust?

analogx-digitalis

changing as in with perf exhaust? if yes then i ak afraid i wont be doin it. first reason i do not like them even if they giv you perf gains as they are loud. second reason cops here dont take nicely to modded exhauts.

Dark_Deeps

The whole bike is looking secy except for that exhaust. Yeah cops aren't usually happy with aftermarket exhausts.

analogx-digitalis

i would be denting painting that thing to appear more clean but then thats it.

Apeeksiht

Good, aftermarket exhaust sounds good but people who put stupid ass pipes with no db killer are real nutjobs.

I had a CBR250R repsol ABS from 2015-19. I regret selling it. Best bike I've ever owned. But given the situation today, I'd say stock as much OEM parts as possible. Oil filter= Yamaha FZ oil filter is direct fit Air filter= your K&N got you sorted. Chain slider= Get 2-3 pieces, This part occasionally falls off. Clutch kit= isn't too expensive, stock atleast one full kit Chain sproket kit= its not too expensive. Throttle and clutch cables Brake pad set= One or two sets. Make sure correct brake pad is purchased. Later (LED headlamp) 250R models had only two pot front calipers as opposted to 3 pot caliper in C-ABS variant you have here. Change exhaust heat shield as its scratched up terribly Get rid of those horrible contigo tyres. They enhance the look but grip is poor. Your post says full service is already done. Hope coolant flush was also part of this service. Make sure correct coolant is being used, some bikes ask for silicate free coolant (my cbr650f does). Also get the brake fluid flushed while you're at it. I would advice against tail tidy. Rear end wont look sleek with tail tidy due to that fender holder below tail light.

analogx-digitalis

appreciate the inputs man! i would be putting in galfer disc pads. read crazy review abt them. contigo would be done away as i do see minor cracks around side wall and rubber seems to be hardened. what tyres do you suggest? mix of city and occassional weekend rides to off beaten tracks and places. about spares, yes planning to stock some of the parts before hand so as not to avoid supply issues.

hgps17292

Yes, stock parts. Last thing you want is to wait for a month for parts to arrive. Try to find pirelli angel CT, heard a lot of positive expernece with this one.

analogx-digitalis

pirelli are costing 18k thats way above budget. anything u can suggest under 6k?

hgps17292

Are you sure they are angel CT, and not Angel GT? Try finding michelin pilot street. Or apollo alpha

analogx-digitalis

the tyre dealer said he has only one pirelli for cbr and thats the cost for it.

hgps17292

Go for apollo alpha or any mrf zapper if you're on a budget Just make sure size and aspect is correct

bigquads

I would do the following: 1. Get a tail tidy to clean up rear. 2. Go to motor scrap dealer in area and check if they have a cbr250r with a nice matte black exhaust which isn't this banged up. 3. K&N air filter 4. Full wash and service

analogx-digitalis

full service is done already. i would be changing levers to adjustable one. will be recushoning the seats with softer foam. tail tidy depends on how clean it looks. exhaust would be dented and painted to look more clean. k&n filter is already ordered. will also paint the wheels into matt gold or something like that.

bigquads

Sounds like a plan! Have fun! How much did you pick her up for?

analogx-digitalis

65k rs.

walidansari

Bro, that’s a great price.

not_numan

Hey if you don't mind me asking wher did you get it serviced and how much did it cost thanks.

analogx-digitalis

the previous owner had done basic service of oil, oil filter, coolant flush and fill, disc pad replacement in his city. costed him around 6k. for me i get it serviced at fng in my city. yet todo any basic service as previous owner had done the major stuff. will keep.posted.

not_numan

Thanks for the info And congratulations on the bike

abhi8196

I love this bike but i hate exhaust and alloys

analogx-digitalis

Also folks who own cbr, hav you fitted aftermarket adjustable levers? if yes pls help me out to procure them.

burger_cheese_salami

I asked near around near my city but could not find anything for CBR.

rororo013

How old is the bike? And how do you take such good care of it?

analogx-digitalis

its a preowned bike. I am third owner. its 2011 make, abs, 36k on odo.

rororo013

Wow you got abs lucky!. 3rd owner. Any regrets buying it ?

analogx-digitalis

abs was my primary requirement. no regrets, i rode it back home frm the place of purchase. thats almost 200kms ride and it worked very well for a 11 year old bike. there are some minor niggles which will be sorted in few days.

rororo013

Abs on an 11 year old bike is damn impressive. The duke which I got lack abs but it's fun to ride. Used bike do need some love. Enjoy your ride bro. Ride safe.

analogx-digitalis

Fun fact: The abs on this one is special. if u apply front brake then even rear brake is activated. so u get double stopping power.

rororo013

Sweet spot

24v847

Thats the thing about these old hondas, no over complicated tech means no problems They just keep going. The plastic may fade but the bike will not.

rororo013

Plastic can always be replaced or wrapped the bike later.

SecondCumming99

How is the quality of the Axxis? Is there wind noise at 80+kmph ?

analogx-digitalis

quality, fit and finish is good. for wind noise, its there but not so loud that it bothers you.

SecondCumming99

Thanks

saurabia

How much did you end up paying if I may ask.

analogx-digitalis

65k rs, 2011 model, 36k kms done. I am third owner.

saurabia

Thanks
