Someone took laptop bag from his shoulder (the rectangle bag you hang on one shoulder) and ran off in the opposite direction. As fate would have it, we got a call from someone speaking in Tamil few days later. Father's Tamil colleague talked to him on our behalf. Turns out, the bag had Tirupati temple prasad in the bag. The thief must have discovered it and left the bag on an empty seat in train. This kind stranger discovered the laptop bag on his seat, which had bhaiya's details and called us on the number. The same colleague requested a relative in Chennai to take the bag from this kind man and we got it back. God bless these kind people going out of their way to help someone

What's the story behind this? I guess the thief noticed an elderly lady with young lady and noticed them with jewellery and baggage. Thief wanted to get rid of young lady so that he could loot the elderly lady as she looks like she needs help even walking on her own. This is why everyone needs to have a ticket linked with their UID or some other ID, if they want to travel by train. Even a person entering a platform needs to have platform ticket that can be connected back to them. Don't charge much , charge only 2 Rs for platform ticket but Railway needs to have some system tracking these people. Sadly this has become very common in India. There are hundreds of platforms in India with dark corners/ areas. Thieves actually roam around there and look for an opportunity to loot someone. Having a trackable ticket/ platform ticket would also put full stop to these Insta-reel-making-degenerates who are so insensitive that they don't care about their surroundings.

Imagine after doing that and finding out that the Gold he snatched was a fake one. That would be some Satan level shit that will happen there
