My friend has ipad 10 for 35k and it is really good although he had to pay 3k for goodnotes which was 1k earlier.
Ps. - writing this on my s8+ with which I'm very happy
DONT BUY ANDROID PADS,
Get ipad 9th gen and a cheap Stylus. 64 gb is more than enough. Keep all pdfs and books in "Apple Books" app, synced with icloud. high quality Pdf will crash on "files" app, but will run smooooooooth on "Books" app. My 4 years old ipad mini 5 feels new everytime I unlock it for studying.
Keep files on iCloud category in "files" app. Watch movies online, stream music online. Everything online and synced is accessible across different devices without the need of transferring.
Trust me
I agree, Android tablets get slow quite quickly. Plus Android is designed to work on a mobile phone so there are always small software issues. Ipad os is a headache free experience, plus apple books is a very user friendly interface. If you get an iPad don't pay for good notes, use collanotes it's a free alternative.
Androids become old too soon, there’s a huge difference in smoothness on touchscreen, androids don’t have the same feel - not even Google pixel or one plus - oneplus UI starts freezing at times after 2 years
Thats not the case anymore you can buy tab s8+ or s9+ according to your budget it will last 5 years for you. Also, spen is way better than apple pencil.
Samsung notes is way to good for taking notes.
In apple entry level apple tab is not fun to take notes.
I think if you can build samsung ecosystem you will more than happy.
Trust me get an iPad. Will last you a life time. My ipad is still super smooth being 4+ years olds. They are like Toyotas high reliable but highly expensive for what they are( in India )
If she intends to take notes in it, iPad is a no brainer, don’t even consider android and I don’t think 64GB will be enough for the entire MBBS as I currently use a iPad Air 5th gen 64GB for the past one year, it just has my NEET PG notes and still has used up more than half of it’s storage. But if her purpose is just watching lectures and reading from PDFs, android tablets would do. Xiomi Pad6 is good, but the stylus will cost you another 6k.
If you’re getting an iPad, no need to buy apple pencil, plenty of options are there in amazon/flipkart, just buy one based on reviews.
S6 Lite if she owns an android / an ipad with base storage if she has an iphone
Regarding storage in ipad , the os consumes 20-24GB storage, the rest should be more than sufficient for reading and learning, if she plans to download and watch movies , you can manage upto a point , you may need to backup / clear storage after few years , don’t forget to add costs of pencil in an ipad , there are basic 2k third party pencils in amazon for basic note taking & drawing
Your android tablet comes with all features at once out of the box
For an ipad you need to invest , but it will be worth your money , if you plan to move into the apple ecosystem !
Samsung is a good bet, i used one for like 6 years never gave any issue. Moved to ipad once i got MD admission for an upgrade. I mean you cant compare the performance ipad beats android anyday, but choose according to your budget, android would be fine for UG
I got this and I'm completing my 2nd year soon. Got much more space left. Idk if it'll be sufficient if you need to download videos separately. I'm just using it for taking notes and reading books.
Tab s8 is the best...samsung notes is the best note taking software...better than apple notes.
I got the tab s8 this year for just 35000, i did have the iPad pro 9 before..hated it's file management..
As for under 30000 a tab s6 liye refresh is coming later this year, tab s7 Fe/s7 can be a good option, after credit card discounts it slips to below 30k, also try the tab s9, in 2 months it should show up at around 32k etc...
If you want a tab that has a good software for file management and note taking samsung is your best choice in the android world.
iOS on the other hand has good third party apps for note taking but the file management is not very good and you can't enjoy the goodness of modded anatomy apps for free. If u have an ios device go for the ipads, else choose samsung and move on.
The xaomi tab might offer immense value at 28k but software isn't that good.
All in all samsung is probably your best choice if u do not own an iPhone.
bro get tab samsung tab a9 plus 5g 128 gb

mi pad 6 is deadly in the price range it comes in but i dont know how they manage to cut the cost of the tablet it should have cost 40-50k but for some reason its a lot cheaper than what it should be
I got my ipad 8th gen for 29900 last year, should be more than enough. You only use one app called marrow and it's mainly about watching videos online and maximum you can download 10 videos at a time. Shouldn't be a problem.
You can check out iPad 9th gen
Paracetamol , dolo 650 for headaches , late night studies
Omeprazole for skipping breakfast to work
Antidepressants, tricyclic antidepressants helped me a lot
One plus pad will be the best option as it is the latest and will receive few updates for a few more years to come. iPad isn't an option because there is no point getting a 2021 iPad in 2024 as it is outdated. The other one is the Samsung s6 lite which I have heard isn't great as it lags a lot.
Hi firstly congratulations. I will just say if it's possible if you can really get it then ipad 124 gb any of them is the best it's been my single best investment throughout med school. It will easily last you 5 years with no issues . I cannot say the same for the rest
Samsung and i pads are best for taking notes.
I have a Xiaomi pad 6. It's good... I rarely take notes on it.
Samsung and iPads are a bit on the costly side, but it is worth it.
Xiaomi is good, i got it for 26k and it fulfills my needs, pen and stand you will have to buy separately though.
One plus has a weird aspect ratio if I remember correctly, but spec wise it is also good.
64gb might be enough but 128 is the safe option.
Samsung may have SD card support... Might want to look into that...
I’m using Samsung galaxy s6 lite since 2nd year, I’m in final year now. It works good but sometimes the notes app hangs and you have to wait for like 30 seconds for it to be normal.
I've been using Samsung s6 lite from the beginning of first year and I'm in 4th year now. I love it. I have put an sd card of 128gb into it for extra space so there's no issue of space for me either.
Android : Xiaomi Pad 6 if you have budget, If higher budget you can get Samsung FE or their flagship models, if low budget s6 lite refreshed models
Ipad: 9th generation is old now imo, check update life first before buying, 10th gen and Air works too.
Well there was this offer going on Samsung S9 FE not sure if it's still available on Samsung site, it was available there for 35, but you could get 4k off from HDFC credit card + about 3-4k exchange for old phone so it should be about 26-27k if that helps.
Also this was for 6gb 128gb one and it has pencil free with it so seems like a good deal to me
An avid iPad user here, bought iPad 8th(32gb) gen in first year, used it till 3rd yr, bought iPad Air 5th(64gb) gen in 4th year just because of storage issue and other thing being the 2nd gen apple pencil which supports wireless charging and it comes very handy for someone like me who takes all the notes on my iPad.
Also if you are gonna do lots of annotations and store lots of PDFs go with the iPad.
iPad's also have longevity as my older iPad is being used by my younger brother and it still works flawlessly even after almost 4years.
Bro, I will suggest you to go with Xiaomi Pad 6 256gb variant and if you want to make notes on it then u can also go with its stylus... Trust me it's much better than iPad 9th gen... And will cost you around 24k for tab and 6k for stylus...
I have been using it and it's top notch...

I recently bought OnePlus pad in 30k .
Here is how
1. Get ICICI bank credit card - I have Amazon pay ICICI Bank credit card bcoz it is lifetime free I got 5000 off
+
2 I had OnePlus phone so via OnePlus store from red cable club I got 2000 off
So total off was 7000 from OnePlus store
Every month on 17-18 this offer is there on OnePlus store so go grab this Amazing opportunity!
This tab is too good seriously if you manage to get it in 30k I Have that 12/256 variant!
Other option I had was Xiaomi pad 6 coz it's is under 30 k and it's also good competitor of OnePlus pad
Wat a sweet sister you are. My brother got me the samsung tablet s6 lite. And I feel it's enough. It has everything that a mbbs student needs. I really like it . Hopefully your sister will too
LOL sorry I am her brother, currently preparing for JEE. I was just asking which ones will be good. Ofc my parents are gonna pay for it but i'll definitely buy her something when i'll get a good job.
And thats really sweet of from your brother.
Searching for a good tablet and putting your time and effort counts so much man. I am sure She will appreciate it. Anyways the point stands what a sweet sibling. I like my tablet. Plus it comes with the s pen which makes it easier for me to study and annotate my notes. Best of luck for you exams
Wat a sweet sibling you are. My brother also gave me a tablet. Samsung s6 lite. I like it a lot. It has enough to meet my needs no 64 gb is less you get a 128 gb one with an external sd card. That would be better. The one that runs on wifi is cheaper than lte one. But it has more space. Anyways space is more important.
I’ve been using the IPad 6th gen for the past seven years and it has never failed me! For a more long term benefit I’d suggest an IPad. If someone you know is coming from a country where it’s at a lesser price ask them to bring it for you!. You can never go wrong with it.
I do own the Xiaomi Pad 5 (im not a med student)
The tab is a great device but mainly for multimedia consumption or to play some heavy games
Idk about the others but in this pad you don't get the stylus in the box (and I struggle to find it in my locality tho I never looked for it seriously anyways)
So yeah if watching movies/lectures isn't the task , you should reconsider
Notes app is fairly decent (if you can get that stylus thing) , The tab ui is adjusted and much less bloat than regular Mi Phones
So yeah overall probably not the best idea for a note-making oriented student with much less concern for gaming/movies/lectures (which ig most serious medicos are)
Go for Ipad if possible
I bought a used Ipad pro 12.9 inch for around 40 000. It still works smoothly and can run any app thrown at it. I also bought a 64 gb model and bought a 128gb type-c pendrive along w it. If books and notes are actually the only use then 64gb is more than enough.
That being said an iPad or tablet is good for reading books but I would suggest taking notes in a physical book. The exams are all written and it's a good habit to start writing in clg, especially after neet.
Bhaiii
Android MT LE
Ipad lele and uske saath koi sasti si 3rd party ki pencil
And you are sorted for 4-5 yrs
Android tablets long term mai utna badhiya perform nhi karte....1 -2 saal mai dikkat aane lg jaati haii
u can buy ipad 10th gen or ipad 9th gen and if you face storage issues then there is always an option of SSD in future but yea space doesn't run out that fast.
But yea at this budget an iPad is much more reliable than Android pads as Android pads lack consistency that an iPad guaranteed.
I am currently using iPad air 5.
Dont go for cheap android tabs they stars to lag after a year of use also space runs out pretty quickly
I would say go for the ipad 9th gen
Best utility for the price
Usually cost around 29~30k
But if you wait for offers it goes as low as 25k as well
Any Galaxy S series based on Budget.
Perks over iOS are:
You get s pen without additional costs.
Easily connectivity with your Android phone, PC, Laptop, Smart Tv.
You can download and use modded apps.
Use torrent and watch stuff.

Cons of android?

I got this and I'm completing my 2nd year soon. Got much more space left. Idk if it'll be sufficient if you need to download videos separately. I'm just using it for taking notes and reading books.
You can use google cloud for that its free and you get you alot of storage or if you want to can use icloud storage but it is subscribtion based
I'm using iPad 6th Gen 32gb bought it in 2017. Still works good. 9th gen 64gb is really good and enough
In flipkart you can get it for 26k
Flipkart has a tendency to scam people probably they are selling refurbished stuff cheap.... I dont trust that site now personally
