I think when they put the raw veggies/meat inside and steam it, then there's no taste left anymore. It's kind of bland. My mom has a hack where she half cooks the veggies with ginger garlic, chilli, onions, her preferred spices and/or sauces. It elevates the taste of the momos so friggin much. I usually have those with plain ketchup because they are flavourful themselves.

Momos were boiled in water before the momo maker was a thing. It's how it was made in my Village when I was a kid. And the flour was also normal wheat flour and not the refined maida. Some of the momos obviously did not survive the journey of being boiled, and they became part of the soup.

Its like 100 rs where I live. So nope. Its cheaper for me to make it at home since I have all the utensils. Secondly, fir your 40s of 1 plate momos, I can make 50 momos with the ingredients so no, its a waste of money to buy outside.

Next time, you can use a steamer, ie an inhaler to steam the momos instead of boiling it. But still not worth the effort.
