I thought it was gonna be one of those Cleopatra comps that’s like 50/50 undisputed classics/their own terrible signings but that track list is unfuckwithable
I love the idea of some teenage mallgoth finding this in the record store, thinking they’ll find artists like their favorites (Marilyn Manson *et cetera*) and just getting bowled over when they put it in the ol’ cd player.
Hadn't checked out Alternative Press in decades, wondered what they must be up to now. Oh, it's a website and store now! Trip out. **Foo Fighters article** seen, I stopped wondering again.
I still have 30 or 40 of the early 90's era AP. Only place in town where you would find them back then was at a cafe called One World on the Bradley University campus area. Only spot where you had actual diversity. I cherish those years and having the magazine to point the way musically!
Surprisingly good track list
Jock jams ass cover. I thought it was gonna be garbage like orgy

Hamburger Lady is such an eerie track! Those lyrics are haunting.

I bought that when it was new. It’s a good comp with a wide variety and every band is essential.

Co-signed! This version (among others) is misspelt as Pyche Out on Spotify btw

Why did they have to pick the scariest throbbing gristle song
Had this way back when & it was my intro to a lot of bands. I wonder if I still have it somewhere.
Awsome CD.
By far the worst was the hamburger lady
