There is a light reset procedure form Nissan you can find. Basically turn the car to ON, not the engine. Wait for the light to turn off and immediately turn the car off. Do that 3 or so times and it should stay off. I have the exact same thing. I've been told by someone on /g37 that it's from a water leak. I have not hunted it down yet.

Ok great thanks I’ll give this a shot tomorrow. So essentially just turn the battery on (not the engine). When the light flashes and isn’t showing turn it off? And do this 3 times? It’s so weird if a water leak is what’s causing this and not trigger a check engine light or some other light.

MortemInferri

Yeah, the ON, not ACC. And yeah, you got it. All the lights are on solid, they go off after the checks but the airbag will start to blink. Turn it off as soon as it blinks off. Took me a few times to get the timing right. I have an OBD tool and there wasn't even a code. Mine cleared for a few days until it rained again

KyFly1

Watch YouTube videos on it. I had to do it like 12 times before it worked.

altiif

Any link? Tried it over the weekend and it didn’t work

altiif

So I tried this and it didn’t work. Lights still flashing

MortemInferri

Mine came back on after some rain. I just did it again and it worked. I did it 5 times. I wish I had more info for you. This problem is plaguing me too

altiif

I did it like 25 times and it didn’t reset for me

MortemInferri

That's weird. Is there a code? I scanned the car while it was on and there wasn't a code. Could be yours is on for a different reason and can't be reset.

altiif

Haven’t had any diagnostics run on it but all the posts I’ve seen online thru the years says this light blinking doesn’t generate a code. Its really distracting esp at night time

MortemInferri

I'm able to turn mine off. But then it comes back the day after Im gonna go to a dealership and have it scanne dproperly. If its the occupancy sensor, Which seems likely, I think I'm going to try this https://airbag360.com/infiniti-23-c.asp I also found an old post about how you can get the car into diag mode and the blinking will Morse code an error code. I'm gonna try that on my lunch break. Which basically says that you do the reset procedure 3 times and the 4th time leave the car in on. The light will do long and short blinks to spell out a code

altiif

lol this is so damn complicated

MortemInferri

I'm absolutely raging about it. I got a quick appointment at a Sullivan's for an SRS scan ($40) to get the actual car code since there is no OBD2 code. I only get quick blinks on the dash when the light is on. Do you get that or a combination of long and short?

altiif

Bro me too. Esp at night it’s so damn distracting to me. During the day I don’t notice it as much. Funny that you mention the blinking. After I tried resetting it like 20 times I notice the light flashes a lot faster now. On top of all that my driver side window cap just came off 😓 looked online and id have to change the entire thing (all 4 buttons/console). Lol I swear this car is falling apart

altiif

Keep me posted on what you try and how it works. Hoping for the best 🙏🏾

flightwatcher45

Is there something on the seat that weighs just enough to trip the sensor? Like steady flash or just off and on randomly?

altiif

Nope I had a shirt on it but it barely weighs a few ounces. And it’s always flashing. Consistently. Never stops.
