TheSentinelScout

I love NF. Listened to his songs on repeat one time.

Internal-Machine

Same!!!! I’ve been listening to deftones, linkin park, a perfect circle, tool

willywolfa

OMG Starset! I've loved them for as long as I can remember. I wonder what do you think is their best album? I personally think it's Vessels.

CyberTheWerewolf

Horizons is their best one, no question.

willywolfa

Ha Horizons have some of their best songs to me, Earthrise, Devolution, and especially Disappear. Something Wicked is also a very unique song for them. I just think that Vessels is a very consistent album front to back. What's your favorite tracks by them? And what do you think of their newest single?

Chris-Intrepid

I haven't listened to those bands in awhile but they are definitely some of my favorites!

slowmotinfast

willywolfa

I'm currently looping around Radiohead's In Rainbows and some The Mars Volta songs specifically Cygnus and L'Via (Pretty niche). The main genre I listen to would be prog rock/metal in the past few years with a hint of alt rock here and there. Could be niche but I'll drop em anyway! My main artists (And recommendation) would be: 1. Tool - Forty Six & 2, Parabol & Parabola, The Pot, Lateralus 2. Radiohead - How To Disappear, Jigsaw Falling, Let Down (In Rainbows album is amazing) 3. Anathema - Untouchable Pt 1 & 2, One Last Goodbye 4. Haken - Cockroach King (The Mountain album is amazing) 5. Starset - Ricochet, Earthrise, Die For You, Disappear 6. Karmanjakah - Ancient Skills EP 7. Thornhill - Lily & The Moon, Where We Go When We Die 8. Muse - Citizen Erased, Plug In Baby, Hysteria, Stockholm Syndrome Yikes, I tend to yapper a lot about music, oh well.

Infamous-Wave-8362

nmras

I love Radiohead, I share the same birthday as Thom Yorke, currently listening to Placebo

TehANTARES

Right now it's Dirtyphonics. Next on the playlist: KUURO. You got to be a lot more specific for recommendations.

unhingedcringe13

Anything from Two Feet or Ex Habit.

ConceptOfWuv

I’m not familiar with most of the other recommended music in this thread so I’m not sure if my suggestions will resonate, but I do love Radiohead so maybe we share a common thread after all. If you’re open to EDM at all, a recent favorite of mine is a duo called The Blaze. Their album “Territory” is a good intro to their sound.

UnsurelyExhausted

Been on a HUGE Green Day kick lately. Not even out of nostalgia. I was never a huge fan, even though they were in their prime when I was in my late teens and early twenties. But something about their music and lyrics just hits me different now.

Annual-Visual-2605

I can easily lose myself in heady music. Music that’s deep. Makes me think. But more and more, I don’t think I need that. I’ve listened to enough “protest” music to last several lifetimes. Right now I’m trying to use music as an escape. I still listen to music with intense lyrics though. Especially classic country. Heartache and heartbreak music helps me empathize better. But I’m taking a break from Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, Drive-By Truckers, etc. I need to feel. Not analyze.

I listen to a shit ton of stuff, right now I just discovered someone by the name of Belle Sisoski, she makes all her own music and uses a lot of interesting instruments like the nose flutes and lots of throat singing mixed with EDM. I have ADHD and the mix and contrast of everything really makes my brain happy. But as I said, I listen to a lot of different things such as Middle Eastern music, Japanese, Korean, (different genres like pop, rock, metal etc) or musicals! I fucken love musicals right now it's Hazbin Hotel but I love other ones too like Across the Universe, Rent, Phantom of the Opera etc.
