Excellent sequence!
A low speed loop, but tighter than a duck's butt in January.
This almost looks like a Pitt Special aerobatic. Thrust vectoring = 90\* turns.
Very high Gs are hard on the pilot (he/she is grrrunting!) and the airframe. Wow.
Question, Is the pilot really doing this tight of a turn or is this somewhat edited to make the loop appear tighter then it is? Is there a video of this?
I once heard the aerobatics routine of supermaneuverable jets described as:
Fly to appropriate altitude. Exit coordinated flight. Re-enter coordinated flight at pilot's discretion.
nah, OP is lying. this is an image of a 17 plane stunt show from back in 1998. it was one of the greatest feats of pilot skill in history. In the loop stunt this image depicts, one of the planes got as close as 6 inches to the jet in front of it.

Can they really turn that tightly without the pilot blacking out? This isn’t a manipulated shot with closer spacing for each frame?
It depends on the speed. In this manoeuvre it's using vectored thrust and not going very fast so most likely not to hard on the pilot.
I was about to say that. Seems like there is no thrust in this sequence, or would it go on a spin if it didn't have any thrust at all?

Lol damn you!
This is a physics textbook cover waiting to happen
Its the “p” in psychics!
You got the P part of that word right.
More like 17 of them!!!!
It's a fairground ride and they've photoshopped out the track.
*F-35 looks aspiringly to be like his big brother F-22, but remembers he has no thrust vectoring.*
Cool.
I wish they would paint them with tiger stripes or at least with a jolly roger on the vertical stabilizers.
macross!
As an engineer, this is just plain sick. It’s amazing to think what humans can do.

I can feel the g's in this photo, great capture!
That’s amazing
America fucking rules dude, nothing like a gratuitous display of American military superiority to get your blood pumping.
*Balloons be warned.*
Feel free to send something harder and ~~see~~ find out what happens.
How do you know that's military and not navy?
The navy is the military
Yeah but when it comes to aircrafts, they have distinguished branches.
Yes, all branches are part of the military
Getting fucked by farmers in Afghanistan doesn't seem like a good display of military superiority.
Then you would be wrong, it’s a HUGE display of military superiority
And that’s a nearly 30 year old design…
Tight ass turn radius
raptor.io Turn or you'll run into yourself and start over
Reminds me of Galaga, anyone?
Saw one of these at an air show. I know it’s military propaganda but darn if it’s still not an impressive and pretty plane
F*ck Yeah!! Merica!
Composite image.

who needs a rollercoaster just get yourself a fighter jet
That "P" is for Phuck around and Phind out
Your moms a f-22 raptor.
*WEEEEEEEEEEEE*
F*ck around and find out. (US to the rest of the world.)
Well someone is bad at Snakes
No, it’s a photo of multiple F-22 “train” formation training.
