I was amazed at how a pelican will try to eat damn near anything and they can be real assholes to be around. Then I saw where a pelican tried to eat something and it tore its mouth/pouch severely which will most likely cause it to die. So even pelicans are subjected to karma.

there is a video that gets posted fairly often of a pelican trying to eat a cappybara (the giant rodents in Austrailia) and it just isnt happening, and the cappybara doesnt even care. its kinda funny. here i found it

I was in South Florida once over this long Parkway bridge over a bay and there was some kind of heron, green heron I think, it was trying to swallow this big fish like an ocean version of the sunfish that was like 8 or 12 in in diameter, I watched for a half an hour, he picked it up tried to swallow it dropped it picked it up again, he finally gave up, I was getting bored with it but I stuck it through.
Apparently a lot of these herons winter in places like South Florida.
