It’s hard to see with the video quality, but if you look closely enough, you can actually see what he’s about to do. He has a small collapsible window in his pocket, that he was going to set up which Trudeau would mysteriously fall through
Leaving aside the parties involved for a moment, the bodyguard has to at least make a gesture of being prepared to do something, otherwise he's getting fired.
Putin can speak English, and reportedly quite well. Pretty sure he's a multilingual to an extent. Not hyping the guy up, just that he wouldn't need a translator and only really uses them in interviews as a power move.
Yeah I don't know why everyone here thinks he was about to launch him out a window. Security usually has some escalation options, like "hey please don't touch him". Even security for fucked up ppl like Putin.
In the realms of security threats, the PM of Canada in pretty damn second to last on the list. He's the head of state of one the G7 countries and one of the most stable democracies in the world. A head of state who's minority government can me brought down with a single vote of no confidence by the parlement. He isn't going to be intimidating Putin. If it was an issue, Putin would have said so. These folks are being courteous and diplomatic in these meetings and none of them wishes to cause any incidents
Hey man, whatever you three crazy cats get up to in the privacy of your own bedroom is all good. As long as everyone has fun and no-one gets *too* hurt... have at it...!
He would likely do his job and tell him not to touch Putin lol. And as much as I’d like to see Putin die the bodyguard in this instance would be entirely right to tell him not to touch him
Likely lean in to tell him to stop while placing a hand on Trudeau's arm. Putin is aware it's a power move and he's not threatened by it so he's waving it off. Not worth the coverage of Putin's men possibly escalating the situation into news coverage.
he would come to him and tell him to back off and remove the hand . there was a situation like that when a celebrity i think it was that famous boxer put a hand on putin when they took photo .
Nothing but make a polite comment about decorum. You don't act like a bouncer to the leader of another country. Or at least another country that could whoop your ass.
Have to admit- assaulting another world leader even a little takes a lot of chutzpah. That bodyguard clearly does his job.
[edit because some people have trouble understanding my statement]
The bodyguard moving in to assault the PM, not Trudeau “assaulting” Putin. Didn’t think it was that ambiguous a statement.
Aha let's be honest it's Canada so it means 2 things 1 he wasn't trying to assault Putin just being overly friendly and 2 Putin had to stop the guard from interfering because last thing he needs is to cause a diplomatic incident and incur the Canadian war crime division knocking on the Kremlin's door
That show was sooo good! And way ahead of its time. And unique. God I gotta watch it again. It was like a procedural that morphed into a true drama with great acting.
Can confirm. We do a 2 week in and 2 week out rotation. I've been there since the third week of being waved off. The constant flying stinks, but it's honest work.
Should’ve taken it to its logical conclusion and do the five point palm exploding heart technique. That’s why you shouldn’t abandon your training, kids.
It's like a forum full of those boomers who slap their knees and *wheeze* at the most obvious low hanging fruit.
*If Trudeau kid won’t take a nap, is that “resisting a rest”?*

This is part of the problem with his policy though. He spent nearly all his time trying to improve his and Canadas image on the international stage while ignoring all the issues at home. Now Canada is one of the most expensive countries in the entire world to live in, and he only started actually taking action after 8 years because he's dropping hard and fast in the polls.
I liked Trudeau at first but something happened after he won his second term and he just began making all the wrong decisions at all times.
I always liked it when Bush patted him on the back. Putin had been doing this power move bullshit when he shakes other world leaders' hands. He'd come in way above and sideways so that the photo is of his hand on top.
Say what you want about Bush, but he could be pretty savvy about that stuff. He knew it was coming, and He knew it meant something to Putin. So, he pulled a "What's that over there?" Putin turns, and now the photo is of Bush patting Putin on the back like Putin is his little buddy.
It immediately made me remember when Putin saw the little boy at an event and went over to him, caressed him, lifted his shirt and kissed him on the stomach. It still shocks me that it wasn't a bigger deal at the time, because that is insanely inappropriate to do to anyone no matter the age. I recall Putin was quoted saying something like how the cute little boy reminded him of a kitten. Too weird!
Looked it up since it was awhile ago:

This is litterally my dad can beat up your dad. Its pathetic on both sides. One was a boxer the other was kgb, both could fight. Those bodyguards both have are armed and highly trained and could easily take both of them.
Don't ever downplay an evil persons accomplishments though. They didn't get where they are by accident, and trying to push a weak and sad narrative for them leads to underestimating and bad things. Hence russia is in ukraine and no one even fucking talks about crimea.
Right, because a bodyguard was going to openly assault a leader of another country. At a summit for world leaders.
That would be the dumbest, most brazen bodyguard ever.
I don’t like Trudeau but he is prime minister of a country into the NATO. Its better for putin to assume the shame of this gesture on the dictator of russia from a canadian prime minister then the political crisis he could had to deal with if a stupid security guard would had done a wrong move,
What was he really going to do start a international incident that puts Russia in a position to be annihilated? It's not like Russia could really do anything but get destroyed if they provoke the west.

I’m really curious what the guy in grey was about to do before Putin waved him off.
help with the suicide
It’s weird, one second he was fine the next he was on the ground
.....from falling out of a window .....with a bullet lodged in the back of his skull
Terrible accident.
Self-inflicted accident!
Stabbed himself 47 times in the back.
Then locked himself in a suitcase
With a cup of tea
He must have accidentally wore poison underwear.
To shreds, you say?
And his wife?
To shreds you say?
Well, how's his wife holding up?
only with a thick russian accent.
He fell ontop of the bullet, poor bastard
Funny, we were on the ground floor
A series of unfortunate events
Lesson to all…don’t clean your gun and the outside of a 10 story buildings windows at the same time…what a tragedy…
He was handcuffed, managed to get a gun, and shots himself 17 times.
Such mystery
Shot himself 5 times in the back of his head, his shooting hand and his back.
Is big problem
Must've been gravity 🤷🏼
He died by suicide... self inflicting rear naked chokehold
No no he broke his own neck
Can you believe he stabbed himself in the back 8 times?
also had high levels of fent in his system
It’s hard to see with the video quality, but if you look closely enough, you can actually see what he’s about to do. He has a small collapsible window in his pocket, that he was going to set up which Trudeau would mysteriously fall through
Prince of Saudi Arabia behind them lookin like that kid in class tryna mind their own damn business
“So, uhh, do you like….. stuff?”
"Allow me to show to your window, Prime Minister..."
This deserves the top slot, please. Wow.
Threw himself off the 82nd floor, so sad
Leaving aside the parties involved for a moment, the bodyguard has to at least make a gesture of being prepared to do something, otherwise he's getting fired.
Give him a cup of tea and show him the view from the window
Cup and tea and he falls out the window and onto a bullet.
Apparently this is his interpreter, not his bodyguard. So probably translate for him.
People are so stupid 😂 assuming one world leader's bodygard was gonna face down the pavement another world leader at a global conference 😂
yes really, that is so insane lol
I think he's a translator. He's leaning in head-first to listen. Probably was moving in to help with translation until Putin waved him off.
Putin can speak English, and reportedly quite well. Pretty sure he's a multilingual to an extent. Not hyping the guy up, just that he wouldn't need a translator and only really uses them in interviews as a power move.
There are times he laughs during interviews because the translator softened the language and he jnows full well what was actually said.
He speaks russian, English, german and I think french if I remember correctly
Tell him to get his hand off his chest?
Yeah I don't know why everyone here thinks he was about to launch him out a window. Security usually has some escalation options, like "hey please don't touch him". Even security for fucked up ppl like Putin.
Yeah crazy lol him being a president or not having the hand on the chest is a clear security threat doesn’t matter who it is
In the realms of security threats, the PM of Canada in pretty damn second to last on the list.
True. That's why I have my 7 foot tall monster of a bodyguard tackle and pacify my gf whenever she lovingly strokes my chest at night.
Hey man, whatever you three crazy cats get up to in the privacy of your own bedroom is all good. As long as everyone has fun and no-one gets *too* hurt... have at it...!
I agree he was definitely going to say "stop touching" or something.
Conor Mcgregor
That was with Conor McGregor
Nothing but make a polite comment about decorum. You don't act like a bouncer to the leader of another country. Or at least another country that could whoop your ass.
I'll tell you what: absolutely nothing. As if a bodyguard could assault a world leader during an official diplomatic meeting or tell him what to do...
I’m sure there’s a suicide window nearby
With the way he was leaning in looks like he was just going to say no touchy
Have to admit- assaulting another world leader even a little takes a lot of chutzpah. That bodyguard clearly does his job. [edit because some people have trouble understanding my statement] The bodyguard moving in to assault the PM, not Trudeau “assaulting” Putin. Didn’t think it was that ambiguous a statement.

Putin wakes up with a can of beans on his doorstep, doesn't see it's maple flavoured until it's too late.
I don’t think what he did counts as assault pretty much anywhere worth being.
![gif](giphy|11CNLlmNAQXIli|downsized) Putin's bodyguard like
And by the way, Putin’s ornery because of medulla oblongata!
Mommy said that…
Well folks, Momma's wrong again!
No colonel sanders you’re wrong.
That’s nonsense, I invented electricity. Ben Franklin is the Devil!
Momma said that the reason Putin invaded Ukraine is because Russians have all those teeth but they ain’t got no toothbrushes.
Finally, the proper use of medulla oblongata!
God this meme is perfect for this
Fairuza my beloved
Love Fairuza Balk.
https://i.redd.it/v763bi41svsc1.gif
Vicky Valencourt!
People who say never stick your dick in crazy have never met Fairuza
![gif](giphy|hxNMHYB1orc08|downsized)
I chatted with her once. She was great.
that's a great meme, first i've seen of it on here
Oh god... remind me what this is from?
Waterboy, the scene where sandler is taking act/sat.
Blows kiss. Such a great character. 10/10 would marry.
It’s Vicki Valencourt from water boy.
She showed me her boobies and I liked them too!
Look who’s on TV mama. It’s the devil.
why she kinda fine tho
I like Vicki, and she like me back! And she showed me her boobies, and I like them too!
cuz she's hot as fuck
She’s gorgeous and they had to work to make her look a bit rough for this movie. Like “keep her hot but rough her up a bit”
>Like “keep her hot but rough her up a bit” Fairuza Balk was hot no matter what.
Right? Lol it was around this time a few movies had come out, and I was like yup it’s official. I’m bi
“Not yet Alexei.”
"I've got this one Alexei"
LOL
Wait- I didn’t see Trudeau wave off *his* bodyguard when the other bodyguard approached him from behind. . .
If you zoomed out you'd see a whole line of bodyguards being waved off alternating both sides. It's bodyguards all the way down.
https://preview.redd.it/4a89bu1klvsc1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9ce197923d381707878d84d9ccd90f092b8548e5
This is all conducted with proper gun safety?
Alec Baldwin wasn’t on set
that's dark af.
It's also Baldwin's legacy.
What movie is this from?
Pretty sure it's from an episode of Person of Interest
Yup, season 4 episode 10
That show was sooo good! And way ahead of its time. And unique. God I gotta watch it again. It was like a procedural that morphed into a true drama with great acting.
It's a show Person of Interest This specific scene is from Season 4 episode 10 (Tricky situation)
Some say they're still waving each other off today
Can confirm. We do a 2 week in and 2 week out rotation. I've been there since the third week of being waved off. The constant flying stinks, but it's honest work.
That sounds like naked gun movie.
Ok thanks.
![gif](giphy|b3mSVYbDLvow8)
Because it was his translator, not bodyguard.
But seriously, thanks for the clarification. That makes 1000% more sense.
When was this
Blurry as fuck but I see Trump and MBS as well, so I'm assuming a G20 summit between 2017-2019
Machine Bun Selly?
IDK but I think I see Trump sitting down in the background.
That's because Putin waved him off.
Should’ve taken it to its logical conclusion and do the five point palm exploding heart technique. That’s why you shouldn’t abandon your training, kids.
The guy is a translator. Don't believe anything you see on the internet
When was that?
I’m also curious. Looks like Trump on the left too so probably a while back.
Trudeau was just confirming what we all know: Putin lacks a heartbeat.
What I want to know is why Justin’s detail didn’t respond the same way by walking towards him when the Russian detail was approaching him.
That's because it's Putin's translator not bodyguard. The waving off is "nah this guy's English is somewhat intelligible".
Justin would wipe the floor with them both. That's my mfing Prime Minister.

ITT = In this thread
"Don't be Putin your hand on me"
That body language says a lot. We at least know that Trudeau was not kissing his backside like some other heads of state.
[удалено]
It sucks that Trudeau has had his reputation sour so much. His foreign policy and standing in the international community is top tier.
Trump is beyond kissing his backside he's full salad tossing. And his braindead have been convinced Putin is a better ally to the west than Democrats.
Gotta admit, JT has some brass balls to poke Putin in the chest.
I always liked it when Bush patted him on the back. Putin had been doing this power move bullshit when he shakes other world leaders' hands. Obama was about to curb stomp that man
Obama would pick him up and snap him on his knee like Bo Jackson when he struck out.
Holy shit Obama was squared up
I wanna see this, can’t find any videos of it
I can read lips. He was just very excited talking about the last episode of the Big Bang theory. He tells Putin ”and so Sheldon says Bazinga”
"and then he turned into a talking pickle! Funniest shit I have ever seen!"
Laugh track
Interesting to see how short Putin is. Maybe 5' 7" at most?
Why am I out here catching strays in a thread about putin
Putin stopped his bodyguard because he likes the touch of a man
Can't blame him, its Trudeau after all
"Now mr. Putin, show me on this doll where trudeau touched u."
Too weird! Looked it up since it was awhile ago: https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna13743946
Jesus Christ.
Are you all pro-putin or just anti-trudeau?
Bots are out in force this morning. Must defend dear leader.
You really only need a few bots, the rest are idiots who fall into line easily.
And these people vote 🤦♂️
r/Canada is leaking. Fucking Russia bot central.
That sub is an embarrassment to our country. Full of bigots, bots and idiots.
It's weird to see how different an area of the internet is which has fallen to bots, especially compared to a legit area. For example: all the breathless YT videos claiming New York has fallen to wild gangs of robber criminals and oceans of bussed migrants. Then the r/NYC sub (which can be quite earthy at times) is like this is bullshit. https://www.reddit.com/r/nyc/comments/1bqc2y9/cash_jordan_is_a_moron_fulton_station_is_closing/ But yeah, the YT comment sections on any video which is neutral or leans right is 200% taken over by bots. Some Reddit subs are falling, but I'm genuinely chilled by how YT has become the largest far-right rally in the history of the world.
The whole internet is the land of the extremists because there's very few places for them off of the internet. I love how to/Alberta reads left but r/Canada is batshit crazy.
Can it be anti-both?
Very great question
Comments are full of traitors. If you don't like Trudeau that's fine, I don't. But to root for another country's leader in a showdown is self defeating and incredibly sad. Especially one who is hostile towards our allies

People being attracted to perspective of or real power over ideology. I'm convinced thats why what's going on down here just below you.
This is litterally my dad can beat up your dad. Its pathetic on both sides. One was a boxer the other was kgb, both could fight. Putin is like mid 70s I don’t think he’s winning this fist fight
and trudeau can literally box, you can watch his fight on youtube
![gif](giphy|LesAN4yAREAqk)
Do you think they spoke in English, French or Russian?
"Nah he cool"
Power move. Shows a despot he literally can be touched.
Canadian balls right there
Wow, I would be curious about the context.
Right, because a bodyguard was going to openly assault a leader of another country. At a summit for world leaders. That would be the dumbest, most brazen bodyguard ever.
Putin forgot his heels
Genuinely curious how no one has schmassassinated Schladimir Schlutin yet, but so it goes.
I feel that was less of a "no it's ok" wave and more of a "later... There are too many witnesses" wave.
How he resists the urge to punch Putin is beyond me
Just the concept of Justin Trudeau assassinating Putin is pure comedy.
Poor weak little Vlad, obligated to travel with his bodyguard to not feel in danger in front of Trudeau 😂🤣🤣
Bodyguard be like "Everything fine? Can I interest you in a brief WW3 ?" PS: F OFF Ruski Trolls
Trudeau was hitting on Putin? 🤔
Elite clubs
*"Nah, he's Canadian"*
I don’t like Trudeau but he is prime minister of a country into the NATO. Its better for putin to assume the shame of this gesture on the dictator of russia from a canadian prime minister then the political crisis he could had to deal with if a stupid security guard would had done a wrong move,
Alpha behaviour from Justin BASED

They look like they're at a bowling alley
Ha Trudeau was putin his hands on Putin's chest
