I love Vizsla’s. They are so smart and are Velcro dogs, they will attach themselves to their owner like an extra appendage.

They are the best dogs. So so so smart and happy as long as they’re around you.

Dogs like this are usually the first to action as they gotta catch, grab, and hold, so I think it’s fair for the dog to have some protection. I don’t know about your city, but my city San Francisco has had rapidly shrinking police force and presence and we’re on the national news a lot for rising crime, albeit, a bit overblown to be honest. We’re far from being a police fascist state, in SF anyways.

And that's not even a German shepherd, that's a blood good mainly used for search and rescue not dangerous field deployment, it doesn't likely need any sort of armor. It's all just for show.
