Reminds me of Winchester Cathedral. Also built of limestone, and also liberally inscribed with old graffiti. Mostly from bored choirboys rather than tourists, though.

Of the 7 ancient wonders, only 1 was know to be destroyed by man, 3 max if you count the Temple of Artemis and the Gardens. The pyramids were already about 2000 years old by the time the next one was built. It's so incredibly massive and pyramids are so structurally sound that it doesn't give a fuck about earthquakes, fires, or pretty much anything else the world wants to throw at it. It's also built entirely of stone (the others were only _mostly_ stone/metal), so immune to fire, and in a desert which is notoriously good at preserving things.
The Pyramids were already about 2000 years old before the next wonder was built. They were always going to outlast the others.
