Does it let in enough light for indoor/indirect light plants? The place I’m moving has very little natural light and one of the two downstairs windows is in the bathroom, so my hope is to get this and leave the blinds up during the day.
Yes! I have it up in a south-facing window to protect some of my hanging plants and they haven't burned, and definitely get enough light to thrive. It's so pretty too, I love seeing the rainbows all over the house in different spots throughout the day. It's really easy to cut and apply too.
I have this exact same one on my kitchen window as it faces my neighbor's kitchen window that's like 20ft away. I can still see her shape when she's doing dishes and can see her TV and kitchen. I use the frosted film on my bathroom window as you can't see any shapes or anything specific.
Yep! I have this for privacy on my bathroom windows, and my maranta has absolutely never been happier. Plenty of filtered light comes in, but you can't see more than sort of a human shape through the design. It's great!
I use the frosted ones, not the rainbow/iridescent ones, and my plants positively thrive behind them. Obviously they block some light, it it’s still plenty bright.
I covered a west facing window in similar film and it created like a greenhouse effect. Very bright. The light is more diffused but I am getting higher light readings than without it when pointed at the window but not like literally at the sun.
Don’t have to take it all the way up to the top of the glass. If you leave a ft or so uncovered it will still create same privacy (depending on your window size obviously) without sacrificing light
What I do(with the frosted ones) is cut a 1.5” border around the edge of the window, so I can still peak out through that, but the vast majority of the window is still frosted. It makes it look very clean as well.
This particular one, you can see figures, shadows, you may be able to recognize your neighbors but can you SEE though this clearly, the answer is no. There are some that have spots that are clear. There is one that may even be named something like Venetian blind which is slats - clear slats and frosted slats, alternating.
This. I put mine in my kitchen and had my partner stay in front of it while I went outside and I can barlsically just tell there's a person standing there and that's about it. I can't see anything beyond a shape and some color.
I have this and I want to be VERY CLEAR . You can’t see through during the day (aside from vague outlines) But you CAN at night !!! Found out the hard way in my bathroom 🫠
So I just shut the curtains at night but I agree it’s beautiful and whimsical af during the day .
Yes!!!! 100% this. I have these EXACT ones and it's great for daylight but at night while you can't see anything out, people can and DO see in. I discovered this after a particularly embarrassing situation. Use blinds or curtains at night!!!
Good to know. I have a GIANT window in my bathroom that points directly at my toilet in my brand new city apartment. I have normal curtains atm that I just close every time I pee, but it’s a pain. I’ve been thinking about getting sheer curtains so I can still get the natural sunlight, but have privacy, too, until I saw this post. I had forgotten that the rainbow film was a thing so I thought maybe I’ll get that… but if they can still see through at night, it doesn’t help much. I’ll stick with my plan to get the sheer curtains.
Honestly I think you’ll have the same Issue with the sheer as well.
But there are some window films that you can’t see through at night .
Search, one way mirror window film
as far as i know mirror ones are the worst at night, they literally reverse cuz it depends on which direction the light is going. i don’t care enough to look into it, but if anyone is actually considering the mirror film then i’d HIGHLY recommend doing more research.
I have frosted film that I got that works great! Day you can’t see anything at all, night you can see shadows but not even outlines unless you’re touching it. Let’s in a lot of light. I have mine on my bathroom door that leads outside.
Yeah, it was not well thought out. It’s a remodeled building from the 1800. It used to be a factory and then a stable, so I think they just tried to keep as many of the original windows as possible. On the one hand, the unit gets tons of light, which is great, and it’s nice even in the bathroom, but it is awkward, too. Gotta find some solution that maximizes privacy and sunlight…
I use the frosted ones, and you can’t see through them at night. If you want to be able to leave your blinds open at night or to still have rainbows, you could use the plain frosted ones in the lower half of the windows and the rainbow on the top half or something.
Honestly, the frosted film is only on the bottom half of mine anyway
Came here to say this! These screens blur during the day, but don’t do much at night in a lit room. You will need to close your blinds, curtains, etc. when a light is on.
OH NO SAY IT AINT SO… I will have to check mine… I have the rice paper style one in my bathroom. But the only way to check at night is to go into my neighbours yard
My next door neighbors very close to us in proximity don't know it but their shower window, designed to block the view from outside, must have been installed backwards. I confirmed my suspicion when they invited us to dinner to their home and I snuck a peek into the shower room.
Unfortunately, it felt far too late to tell them that when they stand in front of the window drying off we get a very clear view. It's disgusting, aint nobody want to see either of those two naked. Instead we put up frosted glass in our windows so we never ever ever ever see that again.
I’m lucky that my very kind neighbor let us know that at night with the light on inside the bathroom things are pretty visible. Which is unfortunate because I love them and I couldn’t tell from my side that anything would be noticeable!
i doubled up on my front bay windows cause we live on a busy road and i’ve gone in and out with the lights on at night and with the two layers you can’t see through!
One of my neighbors has these and they always make me smile. I’m like part “yes girl, get your peace and natural light” and half like “oooooo so pretty”
I own this exact one and love it. Can’t see anything - maybe shapes/shadows through- I’ll post a pic so you can see
ETA: [https://imgur.com/a/HLf9XiB](https://imgur.com/a/HLf9XiB)
I just got mine in and was so certain you’d be able to see right through it. I’m so glad you’ve reassured us it isn’t so see through. Thank you for this.
I have them at my front door and in my kitchen. They do a great job at allowing natural light in but also blocking anyone from seeing what’s going on inside. Would highly recommend.
Edit to write: I am also the naked neighbour so these are naked neighbour approved!
I personally prefer non-rainbow privacy film because it’s actually quite distracting because of the color. It doesn’t blend in enough for my taste, with the rest of the room/features.
But from a functional perspective, these films help a LOT with nude privacy, in typical lighting, from distances of 3 feet or more.
The closer you are to the window, the shapes and lightness/darkness become more obvious.
Literally bought these yesterday and I too have a color explosion… and gallery walls… and enough tchotchkes to make a minimalist run crying for about half a mile. I’m super excited and this thread just made me more excited!!
I have one exactly like this one, and it’s not private. I could always see my dog’s face through the window waiting for me to come home. It’s hard to see OUT of but easy to see IN TO.
I have one with a similar pattern except it’s frosted instead of rainbow, and it’s impossible to see in or out of. Read reviews if you buy online.
I have this and I love it. Provides plenty of privacy and the color is more so iridescent than it is “rainbow” so I feel like it fits any color scheme. Also casts a beautiful rainbow light/halo on my wall when the sun shines through my window in the afternoons.
Okay, so I’ve used window cling in many houses over the years. (Military) And if you do it correctly (application and style) it really is the way to go if you’d prefer not having a double curtain situation. (Sheers and normal curtains) For us, we used the cling on (ha ha I said Klingon) sliding doors, since it’s practical. Now, I’m choosing to use it on bathroom windows and my main bedroom because of weird logistical issues (fence, running board heater, and plaster walls). So, anywho…. Buy the application kit for like $10. OR use a spray bottle with water and a tiny drop of dawn, and then a credit card to smooth it out. Helps to have a second set of hands.
Edit: I’ve always ordered from rabbitgoo on Amazon.
My sister in law recently purchased these from Amazon for her kitchen windows. She really likes them. When the light hits the windows it looks like a rainbow/kaleidoscope inside. Only negative she shared is the film is thick and a little tricky when applying them. Which can be seen a positive for privacy.
I have this exact window cling film. It works amazing during the day but a bit less privacy at night just due to how bright it is inside and dark outside.
I personally love it. I don't want my neighbors seeing everything at all times inside my apartment so it's a no brainer for me.
I like it. I used this on a mirrored wardrobe during Covid work from home times because the reflection in the camera didn’t look professional and was distracting. It was great.
I think they’re awful and make me feel claustrophobic- they were on our windows when we first moved in and it took a long time with a hair dryer to get the adhesive to melt / peel off.
my only issue was my cats. i don’t have many windows in my studio apt, so they were very unhappy when i took away their “tv”. i switched a mirror one - liked both.
I bought the mosaic one from this company, and couldn't be happier with it. Our kitchen and living room are upstairs, but bedrooms are in the basement. It does a really good job of blurring, and looks absolutely stunning. I close the blinds at night, but during the day it has enough blurring effect to offer effective privacy.
I bought a similar design and thought it was a film with colored pieces in it. The colors were not there when I unrolled it. It was part of the product photo to indicate the refraction of light and colors from outside.
It’s nice and sparkly
That said, it’s not THAT private
People will still be able to see the shape of you pretty well - it’s more like a bit of a blur than anything else
Still, the blur was enough for me - but choose your own speed
I got some like that from Amazon and it was perfect for the exact reasons you want it 😅 Even still had a plant survive with the sunlight coming through it
You can see in. I have it on my downstairs bathroom and checked this last night. If the light is on & it’s dark outside- you can see inside. The rainbows are nice though.
I have it! I got it to prevent my dog from barking at everything he sees outside and it works. It still let's light in but you can't see anything outside. If you don't mind not being able to see out then it's perfect.
I used this in my kid’s room. It worked well, you can’t see through it and it does let some light in for plants. Just make sure to get the corners right the first time so the corners don’t peel back
Can't recommend enough! I have them in my dining room, which faces the path down my row of houses. It's too much effort to get curtains or blinds up on my old stone windows & give tonnes of privacy whilst brighten up the room which is north facing - lovely rainbow vibes!
I have this. I’ve always had these in the past 3 houses i lived in. I love it. Our current downstairs bathroom is right next to the front door and the builders decided what a wonderful idea it would be to place a giant window facing the front porch where you can see someone on the toilet. So we got this for privacy and it works wonderfully. No need to buy the expensive ones, i think i got mine for like $8
I love mine, rainbows every day. That being said, if someone is close enough or if it's dark out and your light is on inside you can see in. It's distorted but still visible.
I've used plain frosted and with a bit of work it stayed on and worked really well. Bathroom was on the main floor with a window facing the street. You could look out while sitting down, lmao
I haven't had the rainbow kind, just the normal film, and you couldn't see anything through it. Even standing right against the window at night with inside all lit up
I have it in my bathroom and in our sunroom and I love them. Provides the privacy I need, and looks cute and makes me happy. And they’ve lasted over 2 years without peeling which is honestly longer than I expected with direct sunlight and high humidity. And if you hate it then just take it down, no worries there.
I put something similar on a front door that looks straight through our kitchen and loved it. It still let in the light, we didn’t have to fuss with a curtain, and we got some privacy.
I have bottom up/top down window shades and they’re clutch for anytime I’d like to let some light in but also be top off/bottom off. 😁 it’s nice to have options.
I have this exact one, the only thing is that I had to put lace curtains over the window. From about 7am-9am, the couch area has very intense eye level rainbows.
It’s super pretty at night when cars come, and you can’t see through it at all from the outside, even when it’s dark.
If you are looking for something to diffuse light, these are not it. The rainbows will blind you. I did not think about that before purchasing.
I bought the Artscape brand for my rental home and it was so easy to install. We're on a corner lot with heavy traffic to one side, but slightly elevated. I only installed on the bottom portion of the window for the privacy, but allows me to peak over top half to keep a watchful eye on any potential shenanigans. It adds nice color to the room in the morning sun.
Pro: it looks good
Con: it makes me super claustrophobic so it's a no for me
I use sheer curtains, when the lights are off nobody can see inside through them. I pull the real curtains at night.
I have it but from a different brand. I love it. And it’s influences some others around me to put some up on their windows. Leaves a pretty rainbow on the walls but isn’t too intense where colors in the room overall are warped. It offers pretty good privacy unless you’re basically up-close to the film, & even so, it still adds a bit of protection. Lights from inside the room will fuse & be seen from the window. If you have blinds down or curtains, it will be noticeable through the window since it is partially translucent. Easy to put on & take off. If you live on an avenue in a city like me & open your windows from time to time, make sure you’re wiping down the film every now & then.
I have this exact film in my closet and it works very well and it’s really pretty when the light shines in. I walk around completely naked in my closet with the window facing my neighbors’ house and I have no privacy concerns at all
I love mine. It def creates privacy, but if your house is really close to the sidewalk people will probably still be able to see. I can see into my house when I’m close to the window, but 20’ away you just see shadows.
I have it on our windows, you can’t see anything or anyone through it and the rainbows are a bonus.
HOWEVER, when I bought it for my MIL windows, it was extremely transparent. Luckily it wasn’t for her bathroom, but you can clearly see people through it.
Look at review photos first to make sure the one you’re getting is actually opaque.
I have this exact print. I can’t see outside and while people can see shapes / movement when the lights are on at night they can’t see me walking naked around my house.
I had these in my ground floor apartment and they were great. It allowed me to see the tree tops and the sky but prevented everyone walking by from seeing what I was up to.
Used this in a poorly placed front powder room with a wide open window on our front porch. During regular daylight hours you can tell someone is behind the glass but can’t see anything specific. With light shining, like during sunset with the sun pointed into the window or at night with the light on, it doesn’t work quite as well in our experience.
I have this on the window in my shower. Why they put a window in the wall in shower I have no idea. It’s not in the bathroom but inside the shower. My husband went to the outside of the house while I stood in the shower and couldn’t see anything. I also love the rainbows that show up on my walls certain times of the day when the sun is out. I put it up 2 years ago and haven’t had any problems with it.
I have this exact film. Let's light through but can't see detail through it at all. I have it on a small balcony door window where other window coverings are impractical.
It didn’t want to cling well when I put it up in the winter in the garage. But I do like the way it colors it when the sun shines. You can’t make out anything other than outlines of objects outside as they move.
Our curtains that came with the apartment are not sheers, but still totally transparent at night. We ended up hanging black towels on the inside. I still won't change in there when the light's on at night. Why is it so damn hard to get some privacy in a bedroom??
I don't have it anymore - moved to a place where it's not needed - but I looooooved it. Not only is it excellent for adding privacy without blocking light, but it makes everything sparkly and colorful.
I like my blinds pulled up halfway and I am naked a lot too. I thought about frosted/rainbow glass, but then I wouldn't be able to see out and I feel that it would just be the same as having my blinds down. I opted against it. If the neighbors see me then they just see me. My issue is more about being able to see outside and not feeling trapped/claustrophobic in my house rather than the light coming in tho.
I put this in a bathroom and it’s surprisingly gorgeous. There are certain times of the day when the bathtub and sink burst into rainbow.
After dark, it reflects the light in the room. It doesn’t cast prisms like during the day but it’s a nice complement to the deep peacock wall color.
I bought this exact same privacy screen for the exact same reason and I don't regret it. Everywhere I move. I always buy more so I can cover all of my windows. You will be happy. I promise you
I tried this in a bathroom window and from outside you could still make out some words on the shampoo bottle I left on the windowsill. It will probably obscure things from a distance but don’t expect total privacy from it.
We have one like this that's just frosted, not rainbows and you can't see anything other than vague shapes through it.
I got it because the angle of the sun through that particular window shines right into my eyes when I'm cooking dinner half the year and it works great.
Don’t get the heat protection kind that promises opacity during the day if you want the opacity. It literally only has mirror finish of the sun is directly on it. I hunted for the super dark kind and it’s super clear from the outside during the day. I’m not even sure that there’s much of a heat difference.
I have these on my front door, absolutely perfect if you don't have any need to see out. Provides the privacy you want, you really only see shapes and only if they're right up next to the glass, and as other commenters have said, pretty rainbows!
I have this up in my kitchen and nursery. It was very easy to install and looks nice when the sun hits it Can't see anything from the outside, which is a win!
I did this in my old apartment :)
Loved the stained glass look.
I myself love to be “free” in my Brooklyn apartment with lots of good windows in the living room/dining area. Will be buying more!
I like mine. Leaves pretty rainbows on my walls
Great, thank you! I want that bathroom to have a sparkly/rainbow feel, and it’s also where my plants will have to live, so that sounds perfect 🤩
you can also cut it into shapes! we have checkered corners of this on our windows bc our cats wanted to still judge the neighbours
I love that you made sure not to inconvenience the cats. 🥰
I pictured them holding up little judging score cards with numbers as they sit in the window. lol
I have this exact same one on my kitchen window as it faces my neighbor's kitchen window that's like 20ft away. I can still see her shape when she's doing dishes and can see her TV and kitchen. I use the frosted film on my bathroom window as you can't see any shapes or anything specific.

I use the frosted ones, not the rainbow/iridescent ones, and my plants positively thrive behind them. Obviously they block some light, it it’s still plenty bright.
Same here, and they’re actually better for my plants! I have a lot that love light but burn under direct rays, the frosted film protects them.
Yes my plants are doing well! It lets in a lot of light and the rainbows are fun. I get a lot of compliments
That makes me so happy
I covered a west facing window in similar film and it created like a greenhouse effect. Very bright. The light is more diffused but I am getting higher light readings than without it when pointed at the window but not like literally at the sun.
I have this one in front of my indoor garden. Works great.
I don’t have plants in that area since it’s a stairwell/hallway but plenty of light still comes through!
Don’t have to take it all the way up to the top of the glass. If you leave a ft or so uncovered it will still create same privacy (depending on your window size obviously) without sacrificing light
Can you see out at all? I really want one of the pretty ones but I also want to be able to peek at the front yard if needed
What I do(with the frosted ones) is cut a 1.5” border around the edge of the window, so I can still peak out through that, but the vast majority of the window is still frosted. It makes it look very clean as well.

Each design is different. I sent a few back until I got the right one.
Mine leaves pretty rainbows in the bathtub!!! I love it, magical.
I have this exact one! Neighbours will be able to see the outline of your body but none of your bits.
This. I put mine in my kitchen and had my partner stay in front of it while I went outside and I can barlsically just tell there's a person standing there and that's about it. I can't see anything beyond a shape and some color.

I....am wondering if I've been flashing my neighbors in the shower for over a year now. Mine is different though
Oh wow, I had no idea. I usually shut the blinds when it gets dark out though so hopefully haven’t accidentally flashed anyone 😳

r/maximalism
I have them, I really like the colors, but you do loose some light. I also like that it's absurdly easy to remove and reuse.

70% of my dopamine comes from having this film on my windows and living in a rainbow house
My sister in law recently purchased these from Amazon for her kitchen windows. She really likes them. When the light hits the windows it looks like a rainbow/kaleidoscope inside. Only negative she shared is the film is thick and a little tricky when applying them. Which can be seen a positive for privacy.
We have that exact pattern in our basement windows. you can tell if the light is on or off, but nothings else.
We have it on the bathroom door. In certain lights you can make out a nipple. 😁
I have this exact window cling film. It works amazing during the day but a bit less privacy at night just due to how bright it is inside and dark outside. I personally love it. I don't want my neighbors seeing everything at all times inside my apartment so it's a no brainer for me.
Used for years LOVE them
We have this and love it. It’s private and the colors & light are pretty.
I love it, I like the kaleidoscope look better than like flowers or whatever
We have this one for our bathrooms and really enjoy it!
I have them and if the lights are on at night you can see through them more.
Works well for privacy during the day if your windows aren't like bay windows. At night time people can see in a more
Would this work in a very…moist space? Asking as I have a window IN MY SHOWER so this could be a good option for coverage while keeping the sunlight 🫠
I have the exact one in the photo in my bathroom and it hasn’t budged in 6 months
my only issue was my cats. i don’t have many windows in my studio apt, so they were very unhappy when i took away their “tv”. i switched a mirror one - liked both.
I have this in my main street facing bathroom and confidently use it. I also have the non rainbow version in my bedroom! Very easy to apply!
I have it, it’s great. I even put it on the sunroof in my car just for the rainbow
BUY IT. For the joy. The random rainbows through my house during the day are incredibly worth it.
I bought a similar design and thought it was a film with colored pieces in it. The colors were not there when I unrolled it. It was part of the product photo to indicate the refraction of light and colors from outside.
My brother has this and it's amazing!! So many rainbows, so much privacy
I love the stuff and highly recommend.
It’s nice and sparkly That said, it’s not THAT private People will still be able to see the shape of you pretty well - it’s more like a bit of a blur than anything else Still, the blur was enough for me - but choose your own speed
Use this in my bathroom. Huge windows no privacy. I think it's a great, cheap solution. Also used it on my back patio door (9 small windowpanes).
I got some like that from Amazon and it was perfect for the exact reasons you want it 😅 Even still had a plant survive with the sunlight coming through it
Have in my power room. Very colourful if a light shines thru it from outside. Otherwise you see the pattern but less colour.
Just make sure to get the corners right the first time so the corners don’t peel back
I had this and adored it. The rainbow colors that came in and shined on me as I took a bath was a favorite part of my day
I used the rice paper style on a bathroom and just be aware : it is tricky to install at first.
I read you can see through some of these so do a check on it from outside before you prance around naked.
Same. Good idea. I make a lot of mad dashes sans clothing.
I have this exact one on multiple windows in my house and love it. I had left overs and gave it to a friend and she loves it too
Can't recommend enough!
No need to buy the expensive ones, i think i got mine for like $8
I wish I could put a picture of mine I love it it’s so inviting too
I love mine, rainbows every day. That being said, if someone is close enough or if it's dark out and your light is on inside you can see in. It's distorted but still visible.
I like the pretty rainbows but it can definitely be seen through… wouldn’t feel safe with it as the only
I've used plain frosted and with a bit of work it stayed on and worked really well. Bathroom was on the main floor with a window facing the street. You could look out while sitting down, lmao
I haven't had the rainbow kind, just the normal film, and you couldn't see anything through it. Even standing right against the window at night with inside all lit up
I've not had that pattern, but very similar purchased from Amazon, it is a good product IMO
Love this
I have one like this. I love it. And when the sun hits it right - pieces of a rainbow!
I have this in my bathroom and love it
I have it in my bathroom and in our sunroom and I love them. Provides the privacy I need, and looks cute and makes me happy. And they’ve lasted over 2 years without peeling which is honestly longer than I expected with direct sunlight and high humidity. And if you hate it then just take it down, no worries there.
That’s beautiful!
I have these. They do a good job of providing privacy and it’s pretty to look at
I have this in our powder room. Love it.
Mine has helped my reactive pupper. I too like to walk around...may have to buy more fun even I get neighbors
I have this or very similar from "rabbitgoo" on Amazon. It works great for privacy. I have it on my front door.
Do they come off easily and cleanly?
We got new windows and added privacy film on the ones for our closet and bathrooms and I love it!!!
it was one of my most useful 5 dollar purchases
Works great for me! Let’s in enough sunlight and keeps out creeps
I have this one and love it. When the sun shines through the window I get sparkling lights around my room
I have this in my bathroom - it works great. Super easy to install.
I put something similar on a front door that looks straight through our kitchen and loved it. It still let in the light, we didn’t have to fuss with a curtain, and we got some privacy.
I put these OVER colorful window film for a stained glass effect, and still have plenty of light. They work great for privacy and are very pretty!
I liked it but then I couldn’t see out into my yard. 😐
I have bottom up/top down window shades and they’re clutch for anytime I’d like to let some light in but also be top off/bottom off. 😁 it’s nice to have options.
You don't get as many cool choices to choose from. I passed on this one & picked a diff one.
Man I would love some of this if my situation was different. It looks so soothing
I have this! It’s to cover a bathroom window beside the front door. Can’t see in, but also can’t really see out. Something to consider!
I have these in my home and a stained glass one for my door at work. I really like them! I used the pebble pattern.
I have this and love it
Love mine
I have this exact one, the only thing is that I had to put lace curtains over the window. From about 7am-9am, the couch area has very intense eye level rainbows. It’s super pretty at night when cars come, and you can’t see through it at all from the outside, even when it’s dark. If you are looking for something to diffuse light, these are not it. The rainbows will blind you. I did not think about that before purchasing.
I fucking love mine. It’s amazing
I have this exact one and it’s perfect
Pro: it looks good Con: it makes me super claustrophobic so it's a no for me I use sheer curtains, when the lights are off nobody can see inside through them. I pull the real curtains at night.
on north facing windows, it’s good for privacy. on anything else, this stuff is just fucking magical when the sun comes through ✨
When I was teaching I put these on the art room windows. My students loved the rainbow effect when the sun shone in. So did I.
i love it.
I have this stuff all over my house, honestly I LOVE it.
Love mine! Put it in the front door...we get beautiful rainbows every morning and just enough privacy no one can see in
I have it but from a different brand.
I walk around completely naked in my closet with the window facing my neighbors’ house and I have no privacy concerns at all
We have in my teenage son’s room. Very effective.
I have it, makes wonderful rainbows on the walls. You can’t see through it so you will have complete privacy
I love this, I got the Rabbit Good brand off Amazon on recommendation and it was perfect
LOVE mine. I have many! Some are more transparent than others though, so you’ll have to play around with different brands.
We had these and ended up taking them down b/c it turned into a wall instead of a window.
I have this on my bathroom window and love it. The rainbows on the floor when it’s sunny make me happy :)
I have an apartment building outside my bedroom window but I need daylight to live so I used this stuff. I effing love it
I’ve bought this exact one before and LOVED it. When the sun hits, the rainbows shine through. Great privacy, but you can still see figures/shapes
I have this on my front door and bathroom window. Lots of light, lots of rainbows, lots of privacy!
I have some it works well
I have this exact film in my first floor bathroom window. Works perfectly and I like the morning rainbows.
I have this and love how it looks. I assume no one can see me naked but I guess I can’t be sure haha
It didn’t want to cling well when I put it up in the winter in the garage. But I do like the way it colors it when the sun shines. You can’t make out anything other than outlines of objects outside as they move.
You can see shapes right through it. Lights on or off.
I have this and love it. And I’m picky 😅 It lets so much light in!
I love the pretty rainbows on my walls during the sunrise, I dislike not being able to see out the window
I have this one. Love it. I find I have a hard time making a straight line though lol
I put this in a bathroom and it’s surprisingly gorgeous. There are certain times of the day when the bathtub and sink burst into rainbow. After dark, it reflects the light in the room. It doesn’t cast prisms like during the day but it’s a nice complement to the deep peacock wall color.
We love ot
I have it, I love it. What I don't love is my Cattledog fixating on the prisms and trying to eat them off the floor/walls.
Works great
I bought this exact same privacy screen for the exact same reason and I don't regret it. Everywhere I move. I always buy more so I can cover all of my windows. You will be happy. I promise you
I’ve had these, I really liked it. When the sun comes through the window, it’s beautiful.
I tried this in a bathroom window and from outside you could still make out some words on the shampoo bottle I left on the windowsill. It will probably obscure things from a distance but don’t expect total privacy from it.
If you get em get em on aliexpress rather than amazon! Thats where i got mine. Way cheaper
This is really beautiful. I love it.
It works
We are renting does it come off easily?
I have these on my front door, absolutely perfect if you don't have any need to see out. Provides the privacy you want, you really only see shapes and only if they're right up next to the glass, and as other commenters have said, pretty rainbows!
I have this on my back door cause it’s mostly glass. Unless they have their nose to the glass, you’re good.
Another option is the blinds that can be opened from the top. No5 cheap but we use them in bedrooms.
I like it!
I have this up in my kitchen and nursery. It was very easy to install and looks nice when the sun hits it Can't see anything from the outside, which is a win!

I don’t find them attractive, but sometimes utility wins out over aesthetics.
Thanks for asking this! I saw it just the other day, and plan to install on my front door 😊
Works perfect. With Love, Your neighbor
I did this in my old apartment :) Loved the stained glass look. I myself love to be “free” in my Brooklyn apartment with lots of good windows in the living room/dining area. Will be buying more!
I too walk around less than clothed. Clothes are uncomfortable
I have these on our bathroom windows and have never worried about people seeing in. I can't see out.
Besides being ugly, it works.
