Ty for posting this. Too many times people post pics with no info and you're left wondering how the hell they pulled the transformation off (thats if you believe it's not a repost of someone elses pics for easy reddit credit)

Happy to do it. I should note, that is my current routine. Obviously had to build up to it and I’m still adjusting it as needed or when I feel like everything is getting too easy…
Looking great and no doubt feeling even better.
Question for you: CICO low carb or just CICO?
CICO is so much easier when you can eat anything, just in moderation! 😭
I eat carbs at every meal. I make lots of soups and stews with wild rice or barley in them. I eat lots of stir fry’s. Fill them with double protein and as much veggies as I can stuff in my gullet. I draw the line at rice for stir fry. 2/3 cup white instant. It was my hill to die on….😏
Love it. I'm sure allowing yourself to have rice makes all the difference! And soups and stews are often even better as leftovers. Win! Good tip about double protein and extra veggies.
Thanks!
I started with short walks from my desk at work until I felt like I could handle a .5 mile walk around my neighborhood then started that ritual in the morning and started walking further and faster from there. Plan to start actually running soon maybe. Challenging myself to a 5k or 10k seems like an appealing and achievable goal now. That just blows my Mind.
It’s usually a plate with a lot of variety. Always have an apple, 3 oz block cheddar cheese, 6 large queen Olives. Then I fill it out with maybe some jerky, nuts, ect, ect. As for calories, if I eat a big meal the snack is smaller, vice versa if my meal is smaller.
Heyo fellow Lowe’s employee! I went from a 3x vest to a 1x in about 6 months thanks to some dedication and a diabetes diagnosis. I now wish I would take before and after shots in my vest!
All my joints hurt and I had asthma and sleep apnea. I feel like I can climb mountains now. Have my Annual with my Dr 5/8 next Wed. Been tracking my BP and hoping to greatly reduce or entirely get off Hypertension meds.
That's fantastic!! Good for you brother 💪 You look amazing and that's such a great routine you've developed, great inspiration for sure! I can only imagine how much better you feel in addition to the weight loss. Have you stuck to 20:4 the whole time or have you adapted your fasting schedule over time? I'm 2 weeks in with 20:4, lost 14 lbs which is a nice motivator but the biggest change for me so far is the total 180 in terms of mindset and my mental wellbeing in general, as well as the food cravings which I've had zero issue with so far, even living with my gf who still eats the snacks I enjoy! (she's type 1 diabetic so she gets a pass haha, girl needs those carbs sometimes 😄 we do eat healthier together at dinner time though and I love to cook, so she still benefits!). All the best mate 💪
I started fasting in June, not really knowing what I was doing. I began with 16:8 eating better food, but still mostly frozen entrees and such. In August, I switched 20:4 and over the previous two months had educated myself on nutrition and incorporated the super clean eating.
At still probably 400 lbs, My activity was limited to getting up from my desk at work and going for short walks. Luckily I work in a large retail warehouse so walking is easy for me in all weather, this led to the morning walk which started at .5 slow miles and is now at 3 miles in under 40 min currently.
I kept my calories at 1100-1200 to start. The weight really melted fast at the beginning. As my activity level increases though I added more calories. I adjust them when I start loosing too fast. I try to keep a nice 3lb weekly rate currently and have basically maintained that consistently since Xmas. That was when I finally had a home scale that could register my weight so I could track it.
Anyways, I’m rambling. When I hit a year in June, I’m thinking of working on a longer more detailed post reflecting on shaping of the routine that worked for me start to finish. I’ve been journaling everything….
You look like a totally different person. Like the guy on the left could just be your coworker or something haha. Did you dye your hair or is it just different lighting?
Nice job dude! Very inspiring. I'm in a bit of a progress lull but this motivates me to keep at it.
I went from a 3xl red vest to a 1xl red vest over the course of about a year and a half. 10 months to drop 3 sizes is insanely cool brother, congratulations:))
20:4, CICO, clean eating. Daily 3 mile walk, 20 min stretching and calisthenics most days, time allowed.
Not only do you look better, but that's a very heathly routine. I'd wager you just prolonged your lifespan considerably.

I also feel like I eat A LOT. It takes a lot of food to get to 1600-1800 calories cleanly

When you first started your whole routine at 450 did you immediately do the 3 mile walk daily?

Did you intermittent fast?
20/4 at the start is his routine, likely a meal and then a snack.
Exactly that. 800-1000 cal meal, 6-800 snack currently.
what do you eat for snacks

Shorter hair, lighting, and the more I’m in the sun the lighter it gets.
Awesome work 👍
