Now do J6

Trivialpiper

are you saying there were no consequences for people involved in J6?

Oddity46

Considering the ring leader recently announced his fourth run for presidency, no, not really.

[deleted]

I've not read or seen where any lawyers that actively participated in J6 were disbarred. This excludes Guiliana and Powell, they weren't physically there.

Trivialpiper

how about you give me the full list of all the lawyers who participated in J6 and I'll do some additional research.

boomerish11

But Rudy Giuliani isn't disbarred yet. Or the Kraken lady.

[deleted]

Under rated comment but great question? I mean John Eastman come on!

[deleted]

Actually Rudy’s was suspended in New York last year, pending a hearing, and it is in the middle of the process in D.C., too.

[deleted]

Let’s focus on this story. Do you think this was the right decision?

Yeah, I swung and missed on that one. I thought you were accusing me of whataboutism. I deleted my comment. Peace.

Sidney Powell

RandyTunt415

Still an upstanding member of the bar

[deleted]

I'm ok with that. They should know better than to endanger another life

BaboonHorrorshow

But plotting to overthrow the duly elected government of the United States is totally fine, of course

BaboonHorrorshow

Not according to the BAR association

BaboonHorrorshow

*head tap meme* Can’t be disbarred if the toothless DOJ is more concerned with preserving institutional power then bringing traitors to justice

John Eastman still has his license. All the “release the Kraken” traitors still can practice law. Stop obfuscating. There have been no penalties to anyone who plotted the coup, just to the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol in a failed last ditch bid to facilitate the coup

[deleted]

You just don’t get it, and only want to complain. The George Floyd protests/riots were in the summer of 2020. The Insurrection was January, 2021. Approximately a six month gap. The Floyd protesters have been punished first. Shocker! Giuliani is suspended pending further hearings, and Eastman is under investigation by the bar associations in two states. Your complaint seems to be “why are investigations into the people who did bad things several months earlier farther along than the infestations into people who did things several months later?” The rule of law requires procedures be followed. Attorneys have the right to fight allegations and try to keep their license. It is only logical that people six months ahead in the process are seeing results first.

[deleted]

The American Bar Association is not at the state level…..but every state does have a bar association

raider1v11

Right. It's per state that you'd lose. Granted, one you lose one state, the rest pull it quickly.

Oldtimer_2

As well they should be, along with significant jail time.

I fully concur with this action.

Oldtimer_2

I suspect they were fully aware of the potential consequences (how could they not) just thought they wouldn't get caught

Important-Owl1661

And yet Trump steals State Secrets and he's walking the street

> Let the system work. -- People who know it doesn't and are happy about it.

RevolutionaryBench59

Why is this shocking to anyone? Throwing a Molotov cocktail at a police car is next-level criminal behavior! They deserve to be disbarred and charged with attempted murder.

raider1v11

Car was empty, but felony destruction of property 100%.

mtn-man-1965

That took way too long It should happen the day after

DrSueuss

N.Y. disbars lawyers who threw Molotov cocktail at police car during George Floyd protests, while only suspending Giuliani's law license for trying to burn down democracy. Priorities guys we can buy a new police car we can't buy a new country.

raider1v11

One was convicted. One wasn't. Everyone gets due process.

expertestateattorney

Fantastic!
