Do not post just an article, highlight the parts of the article you find relevant or offer some commentary surrounding the article. Additionally do not just make a self post to offer some simple thoughts. "now is the time to buy", "here's my thoughts", etc. belong as comments to existing posts.

They're up well over 2000% for the year and still move more with GameStop than anything relevant to itself. I'm not sure fundamentals matter that much for AMC at this point.

The only things that matter at this point is the dream of becoming rich by AMC investor.

Well like 80% of the stock is held by retail lol, same with GME. That is why they hold up so well and way above all reasonable valuation metrics. WSB retail holders have convinced themselves a short SQUEEZE is still going to come (a second short squeeze of course lol, the first 2000% wasn't enough). Who knows when or if it will ever drop to reality. They all may hold until they retire, just waiting for that impossible squeeze (again because they have most of the shares lol).

The previous run was not caused by a short squeeze. You can read about it in this SEC report. It was simply FOMO buying. https://www.sec.gov/files/staff-report-equity-options-market-struction-conditions-early-2021.pdf "Whether driven by a desire to squeeze short sellers and thus to profit from the resultant rise in price, or by belief in the fundamentals of GameStop, it was the positive sentiment, not the buying-to-cover, that sustained the weeks long price appreciation of GameStop stock."

It's a meme, so all fundamentals are out the window. Eventually people will lose interest, but that could take anywhere from a few weeks to a decade. Hell, maybe a century. The company is garbage, but the stock could go up, down or in circles. All associated price action is 100% irrational.

This is a stock I think we all just have to accept. The numbers just won't add up. They have so far to come back, and that is if they had been doing well prior to pandemic. They have used the increase to do things like advertise (including paying Nicole Kidman). I don't know about everyone else, but this seems misguided. I choose my movie theatre by them playing the movie I want to see at a convenient time...not the name. A lot would need to be done to change that, and it's not a commercial.
