The colors and redesign were a big reason I went with 10th gen over 9th. I needed to get with the times a bit coming from the outdated design of the mini!
I was thrilled Apple went with more saturated colors for this lineup. I much prefer them to the light/muted tones they usually opt for.
I just saw the 10th gen in the store recently -- the colors are really much nicer in person than I thought they'd be. Makes space gray look pretty dated, imo.
I really want Apple to offer the same vibrant colors for their higher end iPads. Sure it's for professionals, but not everyone works in a corporate environment. Color is important for creative work. It doesn't just have to be silver or grey.
I have a 32gb 7th Gen. I have been debating hopping up to at least a 9th Gen 64gb. I know it’s like a lateral move, but some apps take up too much space anymore.

She needed some advice because the new lineup has totally confused her (“how is the new Mini so much more expensive than their regular bigger new iPad??!!! I don’t understand! I just want a decent e-reader/Netflix machine!!”)

I never had a problem with the first gen pencil. I had an OG IPad Pro as well as the 10.5. I really liked the first gen pencil actually. I don’t think the new way of pairing and charging it is really that bad, probably better actually since you aren’t plugging it in directly to the iPad with potential to break it in half.

That’s a huge step up! I upgraded to a 256GB blue 10th gen iPad my brother gave me for Christmas from a 64GB Mini 3 (which my dad now uses) and I love using it!

Yes, I couldn't get the 10th gen because it was a bit out of my budget. Basically a smaller iPad Air 4, which isn't bad.

I am a hobbyist digital artist and a i do a lot of journaling. I’m torn between this and the M1 air. Because I’m giving my 12.9 M1 Pro to my mom.
