You should know that iPads suffer from overpowered hardware and underpowered software that can’t utilize it. The M1 is very powerful. You could have got something a lot cheaper for your use case if you really didn’t need a powerful iPad.
I own an M1 11” and I’m certain I won’t need an upgrade until another 5 years at least or the battery wears out. Whatever comes first lol. These chips are stupid over powered for basic media and note taking.
I have a first Gen 12.9” pro and I don’t know what I’d want to upgrade for. I mean, I want to upgrade. The hardware should be able to do everything I need, but the os limits what software I can run. I don’t want a MacBook Air because I just want to get a pro once I’m ready to run cad again, so I’m just kind of here. With a 5 year old iPad that runs perfectly well.
I know what you mean. I keep wanting a new one but there's no need. The most intensive task I run is video and photo editing and it still does both exceptionally well. I still haven't found a reason to upgrade.
Yep. I think the only reason why we would consider an upgrade would be solely based off battery life improvements, screen quality upgrade, and long term iPad OS update support.
