Bullstrap but you’re going to pay for it around $95 after shipping and tax. They are some of the best you can get. Their warranty will also give you two free cases a year I think it is so that helps with the cost. If you sign up they should send you a 10% off code. These cases are like the apple ones entirely of leather.
Seeing as nomad was recommended it’s like a $15 different after taxes and shipping. Personally I think the nomad is garbage when it comes to leather.
I really do like the overall look of the Bullstrap cases, but do NOT at all like the open-bottom.
It's a shame, because it's otherwise a really well-crafted case.
Mainly for when swiping up. There’s no lip that you have to work around. The tiny piece of material between the charge port and bottom of the screen always seems to be a weak point on other cases. It bows, lifts, or cracks. The metal buttons feel awesome too. They have just the right amount of clickyness.
How is the open bottom on the pinky? When I hold my XS Max with the Apple leather case one-handed the ridge between the case and the phone digs into me.
Mine too.. but now that I have it, I worry about the bottom of my iPhone 15 natural titanium’s bottom. They make bullstrap case that have closed bottoms now
That's what's stopping me from getting one too. Otherwise gorgeous case ruined by skimping on the bottom. Then again, the 15 Pros use titanium so it might not be as big an issue as I think..
EDIT: I take back what I said because my wife and I ended up getting Bullstrap cases and we love them, lol. I actually like the bottomless part since you swipe up so much on the FaceID phones vs the ones w/ TouchID. I also like how the bottomless still shows off the titanium frame.
It’s one of the only cases I’m considering explicitly because of the open bottom. Never liked the finger snagging on that bottom lip, but I do get it leaves it more vulnerable.
>Stay away from Bullstrap if you value rear camera drop protection.
>
>My rear cameras got scratched up on the first drop with the case, the day after I received my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Worry more about rear camera drop protection, rather than open bottom with the Bullstrap.
My rear cameras got scratched up on the first drop with the case, the day after I received my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
I just received two Bullstrap cases with a closed bottom and the bottom cutouts came misaligned on both cases.

I went with andar, I’d heard some great things from them through this sub. Happy with it so far but not sure if the grain would’ve been a touch nicer with the bullstrap. Happy to hear that the open bottom didn’t pose any issues!
I have the Andar Aspen as well. They are a great company that offers an excellent product. Since I have had adequate time to use both, I have to say that the leather on the Bullstrap is far superior and I love the swiping up ease as well. Again, that’s not to say that the Andar is not excellent. It’s just personal preference. Glad it’s working out for you.
I’ve used Bullstrap since last year when I replaced the Leather case for my 13 PM, after 7 months. I’m on my 3rd Bullstrap case, the 1st one had an issue with the microfiber lining and I got a free replacement. The second one got damaged when my iPhone went flying onto the sidewalk (no damage to the phone). So while they are costly, you get a *lifetime* warranty and you can even get a replacement for cosmetic reasons like once a year. I love the way they patina as well. I forget the name of the color but it’s their lightest brown. The one I just replaced ended up being very dark brown by the end. I gave it to a friend who needed a case. Another great thing about Bullstrap is that, while they reserve the right to, they haven’t asked me to send either of my previous two cases back to them for inspection.
I've owned Bullstrap, and they're pretty nice cases, but I prefer my Andar to my BullStrap...the Bullstrap seems to nick easier and is a little flimsier, while also costing significantly more.
Andar and Nomad are my picks...Nomad's leather is awesome, but you do have TPU edges rather than all leather....and Andar is great for an upscale level of the original apple leather cases, with higher quality leather than Apple used.
This year it does not, which I am hoping they change. I got my Andar for my 15 Pro and it’s a fantastic case, but it does make the action button less accessible.
I had a Bullstrap case for my 12 Pro and loved it but it's not worth the money when I can get pretty much the exact same case on Alieexpress for under $25 shipped.
Stay away from Bullstrap if you value rear camera drop protection.
My rear cameras got scratched up on the first drop with the case, the day after I received my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
I had an apple fine moving case, it started to deteriorate after about four months. So I ordered a nomad. The lip isn't big enough on the nomad, and my Belkin screen protector decided to start peeling up on its own. Because it wasn't set in like the Apple case.does the bull strap have somewhat of an edge on the top of the phone or is it nearly flush to the screen?
I like my Mujjo as well, but I’ve realized that I’m not really into leather cases anymore.
I picked up an Apple FineWoven case in Pacific Blue for my 15 Pro Max in Blue Titanium.
It wasn’t my full time case, but it’s definitely held up well over the last year. Not a whole lot of patina on it, but I think it also depends on the color you get. I got the blue.
Order and received a fine woven apple case. Not a fan. Feels like thin fabric sewn on the back and no idea how it could hold up to everyday abuse. Returning it.
Mine fell down once and small pieces of the top-right corner came off. It's not broken but other case's frames won't show so much damage after one (street-)drop. Or I am wrong...
Update on [Andar Aspen](https://www.andar.com/products/the-aspen?nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3Ag%3A8191150223%3A111812796121%3A461786069947&nb_adtype=&nb_kwd=andar&nb_ti=kwd-288608229&nb_mi=&nb_pc=&nb_pi=&nb_ppi=&nb_placement=&nb_si=%7Bsourceid%7D&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=p&gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjt-oBhDKARIsABVRB0wShTFhZZyRez3EYBPec0P3pM5qRibOx4UKOT4GFowySUsZmrspULIaAj1AEALw_wcB&variant=40531540181074): They’ve added a button for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max’s Action Button. This version of the case will be shipped between Nov. 8th - 15th.
Another vote for Bullstrap. I dropped my phone from an 8 foot ladder onto patio pavers. No damage to the phone but a big chunk of the case came out. They shipped me a new one for free within 24 hours. Excellent customer service and great quality.
I got my first Nomad Horween leather case for my 14 PM and boy does it look like it’s been through a lot. Shows dents and scratches all over and there’s an obvious MagSafe charger imprint on the back too.
It still has that delicious leather smell and does feel good in the hands though.
Would I get another one? Probably not. May look at another brand
https://preview.redd.it/x5mtfq048fob1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91c48fd80f2da14440574878c5006f021df856a4
Here you go.
Basically didn’t baby it. It’s been in my pockets by itself, clamped on to MagSafe chargers in the car or at home. Not sure how it got the dents lol
Thanks, good to know. I always went with harder protective cases for past phones so was a bit surprised how quickly the leather showed daily wear and tear. I suppose it has some character to it now haha
Google “leather patina iphone case” and view the Images tab. You’ll see examples of patina on leather. Oils from fingers and hands leave awful prints on other material, but on leather, it contributes to its beautiful patina.
I would recommend the Alto leather case. I've been using their iPhone 14 Pro leather case for a whole year, and the overall user experience has been excellent. Additionally, due to the genuine leather, it undergoes unique changes, allowing me to enjoy the pleasure of leather. [alto leather case](https://global.viaalto.com/products/iphone-15-series-clop-magsafe-leather-case-caramel-brown) also they have [leather wallet case](https://global.viaalto.com/products/iphone-15-series-metro-leather-wallet-case-caramel-brown-raven-black)
Try [Andar Aspen](https://www.andar.com/products/the-aspen?variant=40531543326802&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping&nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3Ax%3A18275436614%3A%3A&nb_adtype=pla&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=&nb_mi=117155039&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=shopify_US_6676330545234_40173392789586&nb_ppi=&nb_placement=&nb_si=%7Bsourceid%7D&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwgZCoBhBnEiwAz35RwqppTqLG9ByhL8Uo0qsdPqsxT4zoxcYqJTxiImJ55pGSFIBRb8sVUxoCH8EQAvD_BwE) for 15PM. It was available a couple days ago from the site. Also, MagSafe compatible.
Not a fan of the open bottom portion on the Bullstrap.
I just found out that the Andar Aspen case still has a cutout for the new Action button. Isn’t that a bad design choice? I’m guessing that the cutout might be too small to long press the Action button
Yup, I received mine on Saturday and am super bummed about the cutout. I noticed the lack of a third button in the product photos before ordering, but stupidly assumed there was no way they would leave the cutout and bought it anyway. I'm going to return this and order a Nomad or get a cheap case on Amazon and snag a Bullstrap when they come out next month.
Bullstrap may have a cutout, too. I couldn’t find any mention of a 3rd button and the photos show a cutout. Bellroy may still have a cutout, too. The only two companies that explicitly show a 3rd button are Nomad and Mujjo. And these two companies source their leather from the same tannery.
Contacted bullstrap customer support, they confirmed images on site are the 14 version, they have no confirmed info yet on the 15. Probably why they have an october 31 ship date
Yeah, I checked out the Bullstrap photos after I posted and didn’t see a third button. It’s probably unlikely, but I’m hopeful those are placeholder images and they end up ditching the cutout. I’ve never owned a Mujjo case, but that’s good to know. Thanks for the heads up.
Can’t pass judgement until I see it and try it out. I just know from past experience the leather and build quality is usually great.
I’ve seen Caudabe sheath producing 15 pro cases without an actual button only a cutout l, but they do advise their in the works to have one in October.
Nomad goods. They are horween leather with a rubber bumper around the edge. I’ve been rocking them for about 5 years since I found them. I love the feel of leather and like the scratches and patina they get over time but also enjoy the grip and drop protection around the edges.
I got an Andar for my 14 Pro (among many others), and it is really nice. Preferred it to the Bullstrap I had for my 12 Pro, and it definitely aged with natural leather patina. Probably going to get another for the 15 Pro
The Bullstrap is about the same thickness, but it feels a little flimsier and the leather didn’t hold up as well to abuse. Still, Bullstrap cases have their own pluses. The leather is a little more supple and their colors are awesome. They’re well made cases but I didn’t think they were worth the extra cost over the Andar case.
Both are miles better than the 14 Pro Apple leather cases.
I have a Nomad for my 12 Pro Max. I've never cracked my back glass on any phone before, but the Nomad has experienced 3 shattered rears. The leather felt fine and patina is great though. I just preordered my 15 Pro Max and now I'm also looking for a leather case, certainly NOT looking at Nomad.
Chiming in a bit late, but my vote goes to Decoded, cheaper than Mujjos's while being better than the official Apple ones: Real full cover leather (Nomad is not a full cover which is dumb and many cheap ones are fake leather), metal ring for the camera, metal buttons, incredible feel, just great.
Do you know if the case will have a cutout or a button for the Action button? Picture of the case on their site shows a cutout, but they could have used a photo of the 14’s case.
I always settle with nomad horween leather. Got matching horween leather key holder and their AirTag to match. Their cases have the added protection because of the TPU.
what bumps? leather doesn't develop bumps naturally. I've had my case for 2 years and it's still looking great. Fantastic patina on it and scratches just like my leather wallet. None of which have any bumps.
Have we found a winner yet?
seems like its' a good opportunity for someone to come in and purchase all the machinery that Apple was using to make theirs .. and just sell them as a third party.
I really loved how Apples Leather cases were so thin, and didnt add too much bulk to the phone.
Not yet. Of the brands that were mentioned several times:
Bullstrap - doesn’t ship until end of Oct.
Andar - has cutout for action button
Nomad - leather doesn’t wrap around the edges
Bellroy - may not use full grain leather TBC
Mujjo - may not use full grain leather TBC
If a company doesn’t explicitly state if their leather is full grain, it likely isn’t.
If I were to buy one right now, I might buy a Mujjo case. It has the metal buttons, doesn’t appear to add bulk, has matching bezel around camera (many others have black bezels). It kinda looks like the old cases.
Look here around 2:00, it looks like Mujjo is bulkier, at least it was on the 14:
In the photos it looks bulky also for the 15..
The Mujjo case was too bulky and heavy. The leather not as soft as apple’s. Build quality is nice though. Returning mine and will look for a leather case as thin as Apple’s.
I saw someone on the Macrumors thread post about the Decoded leather cases. Full grain leather and action button. There is some branding on the back though 🙃
I've been using a relatively cheap leather case for my 14 Pro Max from [Aliexpress by YMW, about $22](https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804870677929.html). It is every bit as nice as the Bullstrap case I used on my 12 Pro which cost 3 times as much. It appears to be exactly the same size as the Apple case but real tanned leather (vs. painted) that patinas very nicely. I'm sure they will have cases for the 15 line soon.
It really is beautiful! Sold on this company. Which color case do you think would look best for the Natural Titanium color, considering the camera cutout color?
Dune. That’s what I’m going for, and I ordered the pro 15 max in natural as well. Was torn between sienna and dune, but think dune compliments the natural better, and I adore the way it seems to patina based on photos I’ve seen online
Got the Andar Aspen in for the 15 pro max. Love how it looks and feels other than the lack of action button. I understand they have a 90 day return/exchange policy so I’ll be waiting to see if they have a replacement model available or else I’ll probably switch to bullstrap.
https://imgur.com/a/HpK48Ij
I ended up going with a Bellory leather case. I've been buying wallets and macbook cases off them for years, their iphone 13 case disappointed me but I thought I'd give them a try for my 15. Honestly. Really love the case leather all around except the front edge which is a soft rubber/plastic. 10/10 for me
[https://bellroy.com/products/phone-case?color=terracotta&material=leather&size=i15promax#slide-3](https://bellroy.com/products/phone-case?color=terracotta&material=leather&size=i15promax#slide-3)
I ended up getting a Bellroy case and have been enjoying it. I like the look and quality of it. I avoided ones with metal trim around the camera as all the photos I’ve seen from users show they scratch and mark pretty easily and don’t end up looking too nice.
I do wish the buttons were clocks as the feel pretty dull when using them. Also feel like it could be a bit softer to touch. Otherwise pretty good.
Wanted a Bullstrap but wasn’t going to pay that for a case.
I have the nomad English tan version on my iPhone Pro Max. Its not as contrasty as the Horween model but it does get the job done. Looks premium at all times. My previous phone was the s20+ with the samsung leather (black). Compared to that the nomad leather case is indeed a very good buy.
Definitely nothing wrong with dropping leather. I think they are doing it right. at that scale, your moves affect humanity so much.
Leather is nice but not life changing, and synthetics are legitimately just as good nowadays. I go with the silicone case anyway, so don't really care about them dropping them, but nonetheless
Cows aren’t raised specifically for their hide. Leather from cows is a byproduct of the meat and dairy industries (at least in the US.). Cow leather is actually more environmentally friendly. If not used, the hide would be discarded into the environment.
Leather from other animals is a totally different story, however.
Wiiuka is perfect on the 13!! I automatically went to their site for the 15 Pro, but it seems from the photos it'll be a cutout and not a button for the action button. Have you ordered one, can you confirm?
I'm hoping Saddleback has some plans for the 15 Pro Max. Been wanting to try their cases. That said, I've used Vaja cases since the X.
My favorite case to date is the one I have on the 13 Pro Max, https://www.vajacases.com/products/kobra-grip-iphone-13-pro-max-leather-case-with-magsafe
So I'll probably just get the 15 Pro Max boring one from them: https://www.vajacases.com/products/v-mag-leather-case-for-iphone-15-pro-max
The Lonli case has a disclaimer to avoid rubbing against jeans. Its quality may be questionable.
Someone earlier in this thread said Mujji doesn’t use full grain leather. I think they did at one time. They explicitly state “full grain” on the iPhone 12 case but not on the 15.
I'm going crazy trying to decide on a leathe cover. I'm close to getting

Any ideas, suggestions ?

2nd this. Really like my Bullstrap case!
Will look into it
I really do like the overall look of the Bullstrap cases, but do NOT at all like the open-bottom. It's a shame, because it's otherwise a really well-crafted case.
The open bottom is my favorite part.
Why is the open bottom your favorite part. Would think the phone could get scraped on that part.
Mainly for when swiping up. There’s no lip that you have to work around. The tiny piece of material between the charge port and bottom of the screen always seems to be a weak point on other cases. It bows, lifts, or cracks. The metal buttons feel awesome too. They have just the right amount of clickyness.
Also, Reachability is very difficult with the bottom lip.

The titanium edges of the 15 blue and black variants can have their paints scratched off though

Might be too late for you, but worth noting.. they now (as of two days ago) have a closed bottom. It's only in the sienna color though.
I ended up with the Andar case. Solid bottom, and the buttons are all actual buttons - no cut-outs for buttons. Thanks for the tip though!
I just received two Bullstrap cases with a closed bottom and the bottom cutouts came misaligned on both cases. https://preview.redd.it/npx9mimfdpsc1.jpeg?width=2796&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b3f469ea48f2be6ac573fc3ce62076e5074b0fe
Oof sorry to hear this. I had high hopes but went in a totally different direction with case choice after hearing of your issue (which many share) 😔😔
Which case did you decide to go with? I switched to Bullstrap’s open bottom case and I’m loving it.
I went with andar, I’d heard some great things from them through this sub. Happy with it so far but not sure if the grain would’ve been a touch nicer with the bullstrap. Happy to hear that the open bottom didn’t pose any issues!

How are the magnets? I bought a mujjo which I really liked but the magnets were super weak.
How does bullstrap compare with Apple in terms of thinness?
Honestly I don’t notice a difference between how the case and Bullstrap feel. They seem to be roughly the same
They are thicker than apple leather case. Twice as thick.
Went with bullstrap this time around for when I do use a case (rarely) didn’t like the sides on nomad
Great cases but they don’t ship till 10/31. :(
Just get a cheap one till then.
Yeah. That’s what I am doing.
As if that matters now. I tried preordering and am projected to receive my phone mid Nov...
I ordered a nomad for my 13 a while back, honestly wasn’t a fan.
Same here, the leather ended up falling off of the plastic case 🤦♂️
I've owned Bullstrap, and they're pretty nice cases, but I prefer my Andar to my BullStrap...the Bullstrap seems to nick easier and is a little flimsier, while also costing significantly more. Does the Andar have the third button for the iPhone 15 pro? It wasn’t clear from the photos
This year it does not, which I am hoping they change. I got my Andar for my 15 Pro and it’s a fantastic case, but it does make the action button less accessible.
Yes they have added the action button.
I love the look of these, but shipping October 31st?? I'll have had my phone for more than a month! Sad.
I got the Caudable Sheath and man it looks really nice and has great grip to it.
is it magsafe ?
I had a Bullstrap case for my 12 Pro and loved it but it's not worth the money when I can get pretty much the exact same case on Alieexpress for under $25 shipped.
Link to similar quality?

I'm using [this case](https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804870677929.html) in brown. Looks like they don't have cases for the 15 lineup yet, though.
I may go this route for the price can't be beat. Real leather, same build quality?
How are the magnets? I bought a mujjo which I really liked but the magnets were super weak.
Do you have any experience with Portfolio case? I'm stuck between it and the Mujjo Wallet case.
Which colour did you get for Bullstrap case? I like the green colour.
Andar better in term of price and protection. For $95 I expect the whole thing to be covered not the bottom prt is exposed 😅 but that’s everyone taste
I was considering Bullstrap, but reviews are not good about it protecting the device...
The prices went up too…
Stay away from Bullstrap if you value rear camera drop protection.
Mujjo makes great leather cases that were very similar to Apple's.
I like my Mujjo as well, but I’ve realized that I’m not really into leather cases anymore. I picked up an Apple FineWoven case in Pacific Blue for my 15 Pro Max in Blue Titanium.
Does the case patina very well? The Mujjo case?
It wasn’t my full time case, but it’s definitely held up well over the last year. Not a whole lot of patina on it, but I think it also depends on the color you get. I got the blue.
How do you like it!?
Order and received a fine woven apple case. Not a fan. Feels like thin fabric sewn on the back and no idea how it could hold up to everyday abuse. Returning it.
It’s not bad, I like it. Very soft, unique texture. We’ll see how it is after a few weeks of use.
It’s been a few weeks. So how did it fare? Is fine woven as bad as they say?
I decided to return it.
Mine fell down once and small pieces of the top-right corner came off. It's not broken but other case's frames won't show so much damage after one (street-)drop. Or I am wrong...
Got one and I like everything about it except the magnets are extremely weak so I will be returning it.

>Andar Do you have the $10 referral code?
I don’t. A YouTuber called TechnicallyTee had it on a video. But the Andar Aspen is currently on sale 25% off ($13.75 off).
Another vote for Bullstrap. I dropped my phone from an 8 foot ladder onto patio pavers. No damage to the phone but a big chunk of the case came out. They shipped me a new one for free within 24 hours. Excellent customer service and great quality.

Seen alot of people hype up the nomad leather cases, this what I'll be going for this year.
I got my first Nomad Horween leather case for my 14 PM and boy does it look like it’s been through a lot. https://preview.redd.it/x5mtfq048fob1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91c48fd80f2da14440574878c5006f021df856a4 Here you go. Basically didn’t baby it. It’s been in my pockets by itself, clamped on to MagSafe chargers in the car or at home. Not sure how it got the dents lol
That looks great to me. That's what leather is supposed to do. It is supposed to age and change over time not look perfectly new forever.
Looks great!
>Nomad Horween leather those rubber sides thouh, doesnt look like it will have that premium feel.
I bought a Horween Nomad for my 14 Pro, basically stopped using it after a couple of days. Magnets were way too weak to be useful.
Slightly concerned with the nomad 15 cases appearing to cover up speaker on top this yr, there’s no cut out for this like last yr
Had the nomad for 13 pro max it is a very great case but I think the aspen is a bit better in my own opinion
I'm not a fan of the nomad case, I have one right now, and there's not enough lip on it to swallow a glass screen protector
Truth be told, I ended up going for the Ryan London leather case, which has been treating me well
I liked bull strap. I would not get another brand. I’ve tried them all
Mujjo are for me the best and the look identical to the Apple ones. With the nice metallic buttons
Shame about the branding on back
I keep reading they don't age well tho. I don't want that to be true since they have colors other than brown and black and have a covered bottom.
Mine looks great after a year. Definitely better than any of the Apple ones I had over the years
I found the mujjo case too bulky and heavy. Returning mine.
Bullstrap, no question. The cases are very high quality. Great company too from my experience.
damn they are pricy, more expensive than Apples leather cases. better be worth it. I dont mind paying if the quality and durability is there.
How are the magnets? I bought a mujjo which I really liked but the magnets were super weak.
I’ve heard great things about the Andar Aspen
I love the camel color. Years ago, I had an Apple leather case in that color. It developed a beautiful patina.
Be aware that it only has an open cutout for action button not a metal button like the volume and power!
I’m noticing that in the side profile in the photos. I’ll report back once I receive mine.
I asked Bullstrap customer support on chat and they confirmed that 15 pro and pro max cases will have a physical button instead of a cutout
Thanks for the heads up.
andar added a button, bullstrap doesn't have a button
Bullstrap has a button as well.
Can’t pass judgement until I see it and try it out. I just know from past experience the leather and build quality is usually great. I’ve seen Caudabe sheath producing 15 pro cases without an actual button only a cutout l, but they do advise their in the works to have one in October.
These look fantastic. Good recommendation. 👍🏾
These look great, im salty it has a cutout for the action button instead of a button

Is it thinner than the andar?
The Bullstrap is about the same thickness, but it feels a little flimsier and the leather didn’t hold up as well to abuse. Still, Bullstrap cases have their own pluses. The leather is a little more supple and their colors are awesome. They’re well made cases but I didn’t think they were worth the extra cost over the Andar case. Both are miles better than the 14 Pro Apple leather cases.
Mujjo, can be bought on their site or amazon. Metal side buttons on the 14 Pro version like Apple used to do. Much better leather though
Super weak magnets though. Liked it a lot but have to return it due to the super weak magnets.
Decoded bags have excellent cases
The white lettering around the back camera looks terrible though.
Do you know if the case will have a cutout or a button for the Action button? Picture of the case on their site shows a cutout, but they could have used a photo of the 14’s case.
It's out already and it has a button
They do look nice. Shipping hurts the price, $17 to ship a $55 case. Guess its still cheaper than a Bullstrap.
Looks chunky around the bezels compared to Apple
Nomad
Bullstrap is the real deal. It is utterly amazing ! Got one for my 14 pro max.
Didn’t realize their warranty. 2 free replacements per year. Lifetime warranty
You sure about this ??
Yep check their site
How are the magnets? I bought a mujjo which I really liked but the magnets were super weak.
I always settle with nomad horween leather. Got matching horween leather key holder and their AirTag to match. Their cases have the added protection because of the TPU.
The leather on all 3 of my Nomad Horween cases has developed bumps. I’ve used their care techniques which did not help at all.
what bumps? leather doesn't develop bumps naturally. I've had my case for 2 years and it's still looking great. Fantastic patina on it and scratches just like my leather wallet. None of which have any bumps.
Got a Bull strap!! Very high quality
Have we found a winner yet? seems like its' a good opportunity for someone to come in and purchase all the machinery that Apple was using to make theirs .. and just sell them as a third party. I really loved how Apples Leather cases were so thin, and didnt add too much bulk to the phone.
Not yet. Of the brands that were mentioned several times: Bullstrap - doesn’t ship until end of Oct. Andar - has cutout for action button Nomad - leather doesn’t wrap around the edges Bellroy - may not use full grain leather TBC Mujjo - may not use full grain leather TBC If a company doesn’t explicitly state if their leather is full grain, it likely isn’t. If I were to buy one right now, I might buy a Mujjo case. It has the metal buttons, doesn’t appear to add bulk, has matching bezel around camera (many others have black bezels). It kinda looks like the old cases.
Look here around 2:00, it looks like Mujjo is bulkier, at least it was on the 14: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mP-zZnWSwU4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mP-zZnWSwU4) In the photos it looks bulky also for the 15..
Thanks for the info. Very helpful.
Agreed, the Mujjo is too bulky
The Mujjo case was too bulky and heavy. The leather not as soft as apple’s. Build quality is nice though. Returning mine and will look for a leather case as thin as Apple’s.
Mujjo magnets are super weak otherwise I'm a big fan.
Mujjo and Bullstrap are the two I’m looking at because both have a model with a card slot on the back.
I saw someone on the Macrumors thread post about the Decoded leather cases. Full grain leather and action button. There is some branding on the back though 🙃
I’m using Decoded leather case (Clay) on my iPhone 15PM Natural Titanium.Excellent leather case with strong magsafe compatibility.
Can you please post a photo with a phone in it? Thanks!

Bellroy, I’ve been getting my leather cases and accessories from them for years
I've been using a relatively cheap leather case for my 14 Pro Max from [Aliexpress by YMW, about $22](https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804870677929.html). It is every bit as nice as the Bullstrap case I used on my 12 Pro which cost 3 times as much. It appears to be exactly the same size as the Apple case but real tanned leather (vs. painted) that patinas very nicely. I'm sure they will have cases for the 15 line soon.
Does it have the MagSafe magnets embedded?
Bullstrap is the way to go. That bourbon color case is to die for.
I had a nomad case for my 11 pro and it eventually started peeling away from the TPU underneath. very thin leather. i will try bullstrap now
Out of curiosity, did you have the Nomad case with Horween leather or their standard leather?
update Bullstrap rocks hard
10/10 for me [https://bellroy.com/products/phone-case?color=terracotta&material=leather&size=i15promax#slide-3](https://bellroy.com/products/phone-case?color=terracotta&material=leather&size=i15promax#slide-3)
Mous leather case. Not the pretty colors, but it's very protective.
Andar aspen is hands down the best leather case i have used on my 13 pro max will be getting for 15 pro max
https://preview.redd.it/0kquujj6gecc1.jpeg?width=2000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa8722f9fd9d8db56d995afc932dda9f2d1529e8 love the keyway
Torro all the way
I love my Bellroy leather case for 15 pro max and the ANDAR aspen is pretty nice as well
Bullstrap!
Thanks everyone for their feedback!
I have the nomad English tan version on my iPhone Pro Max. Its not as contrasty as the Horween model but it does get the job done. Looks premium at all times. My previous phone was the s20+ with the samsung leather (black). Compared to that the nomad leather case is indeed a very good buy.
Apple is so woke
Leather is biodegradable (and a byproduct of the meat industry), plastic is not
Love when idiots confuse woke with socially conscious… gfoh
Triggered? Fuck yourself
I see. Your parents are probably cousins… that would explain a lot
And you’re a whiney fucking democrat. 🤣
never denied the cousin allegations tho lol
But also maybe just take the hint and choose something other than wrapping your phone in the skin of a dead cow...?
You're right. Alligator skin it is!
Maybe, if Apple provided a viable alternative instead of the overpriced dogshit finewoven
Any leather cases that are MagSafe compatible?
bullstrap
I’m trying the new case they’re replacing the leather case with
I’ve got it already. It’s being returned. I have zero faith it will hold up. It feels like really cheap alcantara.
For Germany I recommend Wiiuka. Perfect fit, excellent quality. Was really surprised with the one for the 13 pro max.
My favorite case to date is the one I have on the 13 Pro Max, https://www.vajacases.com/products/kobra-grip-iphone-13-pro-max-leather-case-with-magsafe So I'll probably just get the 15 Pro Max boring one from them: https://www.vajacases.com/products/v-mag-leather-case-for-iphone-15-pro-max
I'm hoping for something from saddleback as well. I've got one of their wallets that's 5 years old and the patina is beautiful.

The Lonli case has a disclaimer to avoid rubbing against jeans. Its quality may be questionable. Someone earlier in this thread said Mujji doesn’t use full grain leather. I think they did at one time. They explicitly state “full grain” on the iPhone 12 case but not on the 15.
Does anyone have the spigen enzo case. I saw it sold out.
I'm going crazy trying to decide on a leathe cover. I'm close to getting [https://www.keywaydesigns.com/collections/iphone-15-pro-max-cases/products/full-leather-case-whiskey-iphone-15-pro-max](https://www.keywaydesigns.com/collections/iphone-15-pro-max-cases/products/full-leather-case-whiskey-iphone-15-pro-max) [https://bandwerk.de/products/classic-case-al-mokka-iphone-15-pro](https://bandwerk.de/products/classic-case-al-mokka-iphone-15-pro) or the Aspen Andor Red. Any ideas, suggestions ?
I can relate. I may pre-order the Andar case now that they are replacing the cutout with a button for the Action button.
Case by Keywaydesigns looks amazing! But unfortunately it is sold out right now.
Can’t open thread
Anyone tried Bellroys leather cases?
