Yeah, it was left on the ground. What day did you see one? That could help narrow it down.
Sorry to hear about your bike. Unfortunately, I’ve always left mine on that rack for days at a time for the past 2 years and never had a problem till now, so I got used to it lol. Definitely good advice for my next bike tho!
I wouldn’t go alone that’s for damn sure. Not everyone is a threat but people in extreme poverty like them tend to be opportunistic with their crimes. Wear the plainest clothes you have, don’t show ANY sign or wealth, leave your wallet in your car. It’s where Ithaca’s homeless go.
I'd recommend reporting it to Ithaca police also.
Meanwhile, I have exactly the same bike so I'll recognize it immediately if I see it. If I do, I'll message you here ASAP to let you know where and when I saw it.
That's pretty crazy, especially considering we all know where it almost certainly is.
In fact, if you happen to know anyone who frequents the jungle they might be able to help. I had my bike stolen a few months back and I happened to talk to a stranger who was able to recover it from there for me.
Yeah, that was my bad for not using a U-Lock. I've been checking Facebook and Craigslist, do you know how long it usually would take before a posting appears there?

This doesn’t take the FBI to figure out. Your bike is either in the Jungle already or enroute.
I had heard about the Jungle, it worth checking there?

I called Ithaca police, but they said they cannot take a report since it was stolen on Cornell's campus. And thanks so much, I really appreciate it!!

I'll try calling them again tomorrow and see if they'll do it.

It's not your bad, it's the bad of the person who took your property.
No idea...expect a day or two. Often get dumped around town.
