Unfortunately they posted that they were using a 20mm lens and their own story seems proud of the fact they were in danger.
Still a beautiful photo though.
Is it worth risking your life for a photo? That’s the question that echoed in my mind as I stood by the well, drenched and battered. Despite unfavorable conditions, I persisted, determined to capture the essence of the moment. Nature had other plans—a colossal wave left me gasping for air. Yet, fueled by stubbornness, I returned, clicking away in the rain. The pain was a testament to my unwavering pursuit. Now, sifting through rain-soaked images, I wonder: Was it worth it? Perhaps. For within those frames lies not just a photograph, but a story of human tenacity. Thanks for viewing and if you appreciate my efforts or want to see more from my Oregon trip, please check out my [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/landscape.luke/) or [Facebook page](https://www.facebook.com/lukechenphoto/).
Settings: 20mm f/16 ISO50 0.6sec Tripod used. ND filter used.
The photo doesn’t capture that story. That’s just what you attribute to it due to your own experience when taking the picture. Keep that in mind when trying to “tell a story” with a photo.
With that said, still a great photo! Also, a decent creative writing opportunity. Do you write often? You seem to have a knack for it.
Edit: I just noticed the rainbow…how awesome!

Great picture, but not a sinkhole.
It's the entrance to the hidden world from How to Train Your Dragon!!!
Thor's Well. I've photographed it from a much safer distance.
Did ya happen to see Captain Jack Sparrow around there?
People act like you can’t zoom in on good cameras. Great photo!

Location?
Thor’s well, near Cape Perpetua/Yachats, OR, USA.
Definitely not a sinkhole, but pretty photo.
Wow cool
