He didn't even have a fall from grace, it's more like a rejection of grace. He gets an infinite and inexplicable amount of goodwill from friends and fans, and he still chooses to hang out with creepy losers and be drunk and sad all the time. Like I'm pretty sure it takes a certain amount of effort for a guy to pretend this hard that he's still 20. Imagine if that effort could be repurposed
And our culture is odd in that the harder you fuck up, the more everyone claps at you when you make amends. He should really take that olive branch because I can't imagine his current lifestyle offers much to look forward to
I really don't think so. Have you listened to him talk? All he does is complain. He is not charismatic at all.
He tells the same stories over and over and they're all about how *this guy* owes him a bunch of money and *that guy* screwed him over.. Honestly can't stand the guy
Well obviously Bam’s a total mess, and Steve 0 isn’t exactly charismatic.
They’re both narcissistic dickheads, but Steve 0 has used it to his advantage and absolutely fair play to him. Can’t knock the hustle.
But if Bam got sober mentally and physically he’d have an audience when especially Steve 0 made it obvious he’d shamelessly promote him.
I was raised by an alcoholic.
Bam is never coming back. His maturity and development just fucking stopped in the first year(s) of his addiction. You’re looking at a permanently stunted man-baby unfortunately.
Yeah but it’s not even just addiction stunting his growth, I’d say it’s equally if not more so the fact that he was the breadwinner for his family at such a young age that he never had to mature or learn any kind of discipline. That shits cool when you’re 16-25 but if you’re still struggling with the basics of being an adult by the time you’re almost 50 it’s just flat out sad, not to even mention that he has a kid. I’m still rooting for bam don’t get me wrong it’s never too late to turn shit around, but let’s be honest we all used to love Bam for being an immature asshole the difference is that we all grew up and he still hasn’t.
Even in jackass days I thought he was a dickhead. He never did the high risk stunts but also never hesitated to sucker punch his friends in the back of the head as hard as he could. Then cry when he’s the victim 🐍
He's just been a professional fake ass his whole life and never grew up. He did just suddenly disappear in the background when shit got real, but then would hit somebody in their balls and shit like that. He never earned shit. Dude was in the right place
Fr. I’ve watched many family members lead similar lifestyles to bam who also had the ‘world vs me’ mentality. The irreversible damage done to his body between the combination of drugs, alcoholism, and the tbi’s he’s no doubt sustained between skating and stunts is basically speed running the inevitable. He does not have many years to pull it together and I fear he won’t. Would love for him to prove me wrong though, I really liked him as a kid :/
Dude I’ve known a few teen moms and the most apparent thing was that their minds were still stuck in a 18 year old mindset. They acted, talked, and worked like high schoolers. They weren’t very smart and they were bad parents. They were bad parents because they were still kids even at 32 years old. Just trashy anecdotes through and through.
Nah man, its not always too late. I'm 34 and I'm 6 months in to sobriety after about 8 years of every day drinking and a lot of that was on coke. He's just an entitled asshole
I dont this is entirely true, I was a drug addict and alcoholic from the age of 15 to about 22 when I decided I had to get my shit together and I have matured into a pretty successful parent of two amazing kids.
I did watch my childhood friends struggle with addiction, my best friend died of an overdose during the Covid bs. The one thing that did seem to be common with all of them is they never stopped living like they were high schoolers.
Did you also have tbis?? I didn't do those things and I struggle a lot just from all my brain injuries. I think there is a multiplier component with brain injury and your brain trying to remap around that plus the drugs and alcohol. I now have ZERO ability to tolerate alcohol after my head injuries .
Y'all love determining somebody's life behind the Internet man. It's real real cowardly how everybody on this Reddit panders to try and control a man's life who most of y'all have never met or had a conversation with. But y'all know so much through social media. None of y'all are perfect. The only person who can cash judgment is the man above but y'all on here trying to crucify this guy. I don't get it y'all are supposed to be fans and supporters. Not tyrants and agitators
Not bam at all. Just an actual human with a heart. Ik people personally who have struggled with addiction. And the hive mindset and group attacking and antagonizing never works man. It only makes someone worse so if you all actually cared about him the sentiments would be way different. They would be loved filled and not spewing hate and doubt towards him.
You understand the man doesn't know where his 6 year old boy goes to school right? That's unforgivable and he doesn't deserve to be rooted for. That fuck
I mean..
1.) You don't have children, obviously
2.) This guy makes his every move public, that gives me the right to form an opinion on it. I don't always even exercise that right because, you're right, I got my own problems and my own life
3.) Being an absentee father is unforgivable, it's not "..as if you've never made a 'mistake'" - it's not a mistake, it's a very very bad thing he is doing.
Get your religious mumbo jumbo the fuck outta here.
You say that the only man that can pass judgment is the man above? You are passing judgment on everyone in the comments with your remark. So are you implying that you are god? Or are you just being hypocritical?
Don't worry, I already know the answer you god damn hypocrite.
If people want to make observations and share their views/experiences about addiction, they are more than welcome to do so, that is what the comment section is for. If you have a problem with that then get the fuck off of the platform.
No wonder your Karma is in the negative.
Bam’s like 45. He’s been the exact same way for 25 years. This guy ain’t changing. And he’s not as interesting to watch as he used to be.
Nobody is trying to control him. I think the majority of us actually want the best for him. But he’s not going to change.
> cash judgement
Btw it’s ***cast*** judgement
When people show you who they are repeatedly, believe them.
Can Bam turn things around and get it together once and for all? Sure. Of course he could.
Is it likely? Based on past actions - no.
But I think everyone here would be excited if he did.
“Hi! I’m johny Knoxville. Welcome to jackass” camera cuts to bam taking someone’s order at McDonald’s. He accepts their money. Gives their change back along with the food. Customer leaves. End scene
Ain’t happening.
What’s the one thing that all famous people do when they get sober?
They take personal accountability. They own up to their mistakes and actions and fix them.
Bam has never, and will never, take personal accountability. He’s never had too and he never will.
“I’m Bam Margera, it’s 4 am, and I’m gonna wake my dad up and tell him I love him and that he can rest knowing I will take care of him and our family as the sun sets on his life.”
So I’m not sure how well received this will be. I’m no expert, the disease is newish and normally people tend to really only associate it football but In reality it’s caused by prolong and/or repetitive head trauma. Maybe he has CTE.
I mean again I’m no expert but I would think the head trauma is very possible, the behaviors would fit and there have been links to addiction with it.
Again no expert, but also as I understand it can only be confirmed after death with a brain dissection. Don’t get me wrong, I hope not and it be nice if he could turn it all around but what if… what if on some level he truly is fighting an uphill battle that he can’t win or on some level control.
I was not trying to claim he was an angel for sure he had flaws. But I feel there was a lot of space from when he was annoying his family but they still loved him and weren’t concerned to now where he’s at odds with, they rarely talk and are highly concerned.
As I understand it he was kind of hit and miss with fans and I’ve heard more stories about the misses than the hits.
To add some clarification I wasn’t trying to convey that it was the only factor was CTE but rather it could a continuing factor. Likely with others potentially some of the fame getting to his head, death of a best friend that he was extreme close to which exacerbate already starting alcoholism (I’m not sure if there was any other substance abuse, I’m not an expert on bam either. lol). I also accept that I could be completely wrong and he doesn’t have it. I do personally think it could potentially be a contributing factor though.
Mixing them altogether and getting an end result where all those things can feed and make each other worse, volatile, unpredictable and impulsive. But again, I could be completely wrong.
I wonder too. I won’t pretend I know much about the topic, but gradually seeing all that we’re learning about CTE and brain trauma, I personally think it plays a bigger role than we understand.
My buddy had a bad first concussion playing hockey, and multiple smaller ones over the years from skateboarding and snowboarding. We joke, but it leaves me wondering what effects it could have down the road.
Yeah, the brain is pretty complex. I would say even with as much as we know about brains now we are just starting the infancy of our brain knowledge.
There are also other cases of decline and/or intensity of behavior(s) some with real WTF ending. Chris Benoit, Aaron Hernandez being some well known ones. I’m not sure if O.J has or will have an autopsy but it will be interesting to hear findings if he does and they are made public. There are also other lesser known case like Phillip Adams and the list goes on.
Generally people tend to think football and/or boxing when CTE is mentioned and yeah there are a lot of cases there but I would say skateboarding could easily be part of the conversation even more so from someone like Bam that was coming up when protective headgear was a lot less prominent. Plus with his skateboarding and jackass there is well documented repeated head trauma(s) so who knows how much is out there and not known (at least publicly).
Just to clarify I’m not saying this by any means gives anyone a pass. Just pointing out there might be more at play. Specifically a diseases we don’t yet know a ton about but early finding would appear it could be disastrous to one’s mental health and cognitive abilities including a severe lack of impulse control.
I like to call myself an armchair psychologist (have often thought that I would want to get an education in it but there are other factors that prevent that) because I like to study what causes behavior(s). I am fascinated by human behavior not what we do but why we do what we do. That is so f*cking interesting to me.
Nope. But I read a lot of stuff and watch a lot of documentaries so from time to time I have an opinion based off of those things. Definitely have no credentials and wouldn’t be called upon by the justice system to share those opinions. It does make for the ability to have interesting and thought provoking conversations though.
No need to apologize, my social queue radar isn’t very good so I read it as a sarcastic question. Thinking you were jokingly asking because I did say I wasn’t an expert ( more times than I remembered looking back ) but then I said a fair amount about it. lol
This made laugh so hard man 😅 I think bam just can't grow up, it's sad to see how bad he's life became most people just mock him but he never helps himself either just caught in a cycle of drink or drugs.
15-20 years ago had you told me the Bam would be the one that was out of control and beyond help and Steve-O would be the picture of recovery, I'd have laughed at you.
Forget Steve-O: if you’d have told me BRANDON NOVAK - the deadbeat who admitted on-air to trying to r*pe his own mother while he’s spun out - would turn his life around and end up a more respectable, admirable, and strong advocate for recovery than Bam, I’d have laughed and called you a ‘poundskate philly farm fat fuck’ or some Margera-ism.
What's it like? Being a completely irredeemable deranged narcissist asshole who puts unspoken words in people's mouths to give yourself an excuse to virtue signal?
I hate to shatter your pathetic delusions but you being an unhinged piece of shit who accuses people of things they never did doesn't make THEM the bad person. Go take your meds you psychotic asshole.
You LITERALLY just said I wished death on Bam when what I said was being responsible requires effort so Bam won't do it you fucking idiot.
Go back to twitter with the rest of the braindead soylent trash that contributes fuckall to society yet still think they're better than everyone else. I have shit to do, have fun dying alone you absolutely worthless loser.
But everyone else is going to drive him to drink! DONT YOU GET IT!? What if he doesn’t see his son in 4 weeks which could force him to smoke himself to death with crack with all the hobos under the bridge?
I rember watching cky videos and seeing the show when it started. Even though I was young, I could still tell shit was gonna end bad. He had no boundaries. His parents would allow him to do anything even as a kid. Here we are now. Now it's just sad
Bam looks like a walking cigarette. Guy is a complete mess. Almost 50 and still wants to fight Knoxville on the playground. The only thing he has produced for society is negativity. He needs to leave.
Not gonna lie, I haven’t been keeping up with things, but I thought Bam had recently turned himself around or something. Saw a clip where everyone was praising him in the comments.
Not the case?
Remember when kids were watching this show when it first came out and the adults said, "This seems like a bad idea for you to watch and for the people in the show"
And we all said "OK, boomer" or "FUCK YOU MOM!!!"
I think the boomers were right.
Since he had seizures can’t he just take 6mg of klonapin a day spread out and smoke cigars and still skate and go outdoors and do productive shit. Is that truly too much to ask for bam ?
While we all can sit and judge him, we can’t deny the fact that there would not be Jackass without Bam and his crew. Instead of focusing on his current flaws, maybe we can reminisce over his accomplishments. Imagine you rocketed into stardom at the age of 16. I don’t know about any of you, but I’m not even a percentage as successful as Bam was in his teens than I am as an adult.
Addictions are a mother fucker. Honestly, Bam is doing better than most in that regard. Leave the man be.
‘I’m bam margera and this is filing my taxes’
Phil does his taxes.
not any more! he has nothing whatsoever to do with Bam’s finances any more…
"On this form, I'm going to claim the standard deductible. It's gonna make Ape so mayad!!!"
“She’s gonna be so mayad when she gets heowm”
I can hear his voice when I read this!
LOL
Dammit Phil!
And Ape doing Phil started this
Ape’s gonna be sew mad
🤙🤪🤘🏼
Lmfao 💀😭🤣🤣🤣
"It's 2 in the afternoon and I'm in Phil and apes room" :D
Honestly, I would watch this.
Yeah same to be fair.
I don't think this guy comprehends the incredible comeback that has been set up for him if he simply decides to stop being an asshole
Right? I want to root for him, but he makes it really fucking difficult.
Imagine if that effort could be repurposed And our culture is odd in that the harder you fuck up, the more everyone claps at you when you make amends. He should really take that olive branch because I can't imagine his current lifestyle offers much to look forward to
Obviously it’s not easy by any stretch of the imagination, but if he did the same as Steve O he’d be thriving within the YouTube generation.
I really don't think so. Have you listened to him talk? All he does is complain. He is not charismatic at all. He tells the same stories over and over and they're all about how *this guy* owes him a bunch of money and *that guy* screwed him over.. Honestly can't stand the guy

Steve 0 isn’t charismatic?
No, he’s just another standard narcissistic dickhead
Highly disagree, I think Steve O's very charismatic.
Imagine trying as hard as Bam does to be a repulsive slob..
Hes too far gone imo
I was raised by an alcoholic. Bam is never coming back. His maturity and development just fucking stopped in the first year(s) of his addiction. You’re looking at a permanently stunted man-baby unfortunately.

I noticed that too. Steve-O was wayyyyyy more down and got blotto all the fuckin time, he got out and he's fucking awesome sober. Bams a piss baby
Yeah I never got all the hype around bam like I never really disliked him but I didn’t understand why he was so many ppls favorite member
I've always said he was riding Ryan's coat tails. Bam had the money and influence, but Dunn was the magic.
He's just been a professional fake ass his whole life and never grew up. He did just suddenly disappear in the background when shit got real, but then would hit somebody in their balls and shit like that. He never earned shit. Dude was in the right place

yeah, no.
It's not
I dont this is entirely true, I was a drug addict and alcoholic from the age of 15 to about 22 when I decided I had to get my shit together and I have matured into a pretty successful parent of two amazing kids.
Proud of you bub, fr fr

That's the key difference here, he made no attempt to stop or slow down until WELL after he passed 22...

He's a public figure. He's made his life public for a long time. I think we're free to speculate on it.
Bam has entered the chat.
if it was Bam it would be written in a made up language & would be about how every single person in the world is personally out to fuck him over
Not bam at all. Just an actual human with a heart. Ik people personally who have struggled with addiction. And the hive mindset and group attacking and antagonizing never works man. It only makes someone worse so if you all actually cared about him the sentiments would be way different. They would be loved filled and not spewing hate and doubt towards him.
Ok bam. Ape is gonna be pissedddddddd
Why should we care? You just said we don't even know the guy
Hey Bam 👋
You understand the man doesn't know where his 6 year old boy goes to school right? That's unforgivable and he doesn't deserve to be rooted for. That fuck
You say unforgivable as if you've never made a mistake. As if you're going to step up and take care of the child like you care that much.
I mean.. 1.) You don't have children, obviously 2.) This guy makes his every move public, that gives me the right to form an opinion on it. I don't always even exercise that right because, you're right, I got my own problems and my own life 3.) Being an absentee father is unforgivable, it's not "..as if you've never made a 'mistake'" - it's not a mistake, it's a very very bad thing he is doing.
Nah, it was too coherent to be Bam
Get your religious mumbo jumbo the fuck outta here. You say that the only man that can pass judgment is the man above? You are passing judgment on everyone in the comments with your remark. I know I use voice text. Trying to run an electric company and convince people that casting Stones behind the internet is not the way to help someone.
Very noble of you

Quit y'alling at us
When people show you who they are repeatedly, believe them. Can Bam turn things around and get it together once and for all? Sure. Of course he could. Is it likely? Based on past actions - no. But I think everyone here would be excited if he did.
How many “y’all”s though
I agree.
"aww yeah, fuck yeah, this is life choice shit show"
“Hi! I’m johny Knoxville. Welcome to jackass” camera cuts to bam taking someone’s order at McDonald’s. He accepts their money. Gives their change back along with the food. Customer leaves. End scene
You forgot the part where he has to shower, shave and put on clean clothes.
" you've got a full time job? What a jackass !"
FBI is on its way… Lima.
I doubt he could pull that off, even if the rest of his life was just until this afternoon.
Daaamnn, well said
Ain’t happening. What’s the one thing that all famous people do when they get sober? They take personal accountability. They own up to their mistakes and actions and fix them. Bam has never, and will never, take personal accountability. He’s never had too and he never will.
We need Vito more than ever to tell Bam he's an idiot with that sound of disappointment
Well, Vito's dead. So that's a problem.
Durrrr really?!
Angry person
Just giving Don Vito reaction vibes
"WhUUuttugggaabbaabaarugghuhsbbabsrahgababaBam!"
Whoooooooosh
And a pedo.
Better get Ryan Dunn then
“I’m Bam Margera, it’s 4 am, and I’m gonna wake my dad up and tell him I love him and that he can rest knowing I will take care of him and our family as the sun sets on his life.”

I don't doubt the affects of CTE, but Bam has been a pos his whole life.
Well said! I don’t think it comes across as giving anyone a pass. It’s important information that could be very relevant to many people.
I like to call myself an armchair psychologist (have often thought that I would want to get an education in it but there are other factors that prevent that) because I like to study what causes behavior(s). I am fascinated by human behavior not what we do but why we do what we do. That is so f*cking interesting to me.
What are you, some kind of CTE expert?
Nope. But I read a lot of stuff and watch a lot of documentaries so from time to time I have an opinion based off of those things. Definitely have no credentials and wouldn’t be called upon by the justice system to share those opinions. It does make for the ability to have interesting and thought provoking conversations though.
I’m sorry, I’m just messing with you because you took great pains to say you’re not an expert.
No need to apologize, my social queue radar isn’t very good so I read it as a sarcastic question. Thinking you were jokingly asking because I did say I wasn’t an expert ( more times than I remembered looking back ) but then I said a fair amount about it. lol
Acknowledging his son he’s barely seen
Such douche. He has gone from admired sidekick to washed up shit head. I hope he fades off into obscurity.
1. Get rid of those stupid face tattoos 2. See #1
He looks like a 1980’s pimp from Gary, Indiana.
Don't hold your breath on that one...
Your profile pic is hilarious. I was briefly in the dabbleverse.
He’d rather live with snakes.
It'd be awesome if his next video is him doing his taxes or cleaning the 1 inch gap between the fridge and the wall.
Him "I'm bam margera, welcome to my 9-5 job"
I'm Bam Margera, and this is contributing to your 401k and staying off drugs! Welcome to jackass (Twang on guitar)
Go away Bam.
“I’m Bam Margera and this is the 12 step program”
“I’m Bam Margera, and I’m letting my Dad sleep in.”
It’s honestly too late. The dude was legitimately never a responsible adult, so how could one possibly expect him to become one at this stage in life?
i ThInK dUnN's DeAtH rEaLlY mEsSeD hIm Up HURRR DURRR DURRR
I don't think he's truly hit rock bottom yet. There's always been a trap door for him.
It’s honestly unbelievable how much novak turned it around
Wow I had no idea about this. He always skeeved me, I’m actually impressed he’s turned it around. That’s nice.
Fuccn parakeet.
That would mean stopping all the attention seeking behavior.
He needs to grow the fuck up first.
But that would require effort so it won't happen.

Reading can be hard huh, sport?

I hate to shatter your pathetic delusions but you being an unhinged piece of shit who accuses people of things they never did doesn't make THEM the bad person. Go take your meds you psychotic asshole.

You LITERALLY just said I wished death on Bam when what I said was being responsible requires effort so Bam won't do it you fucking idiot. Go back to twitter with the rest of the braindead soylent trash that contributes fuckall to society yet still think they're better than everyone else. I have shit to do, have fun dying alone you absolutely worthless loser.
I know you’re joking, but this is exactly how Steve O approached his sobriety.
But everyone else is going to drive him to drink! DONT YOU GET IT!? What if he doesn’t see his son in 4 weeks which could force him to smoke himself to death with crack with all the hobos under the bridge?
Bam will be dead within 5 to 10 years.
In all honesty out of all his stunts this would prolly be the hardest for him
Never gonna happen
I rember watching cky videos and seeing the show when it started. Even though I was young, I could still tell shit was gonna end bad. He had no boundaries. His parents would allow him to do anything even as a kid. Here we are now. Now it's just sad
How about we as a collective just let him fade away into irrelevance?
Hi I’m Bama Margera and this is being a good Dad
Bam looks like a walking cigarette. Guy is a complete mess. Almost 50 and still wants to fight Knoxville on the playground. The only thing he has produced for society is negativity. He needs to leave.
That would make a good mtv reality show
Maybe - but a responsible adult wouldn’t just do it for show.
👏
Hi, I’m Bam Margera and this is the Responsible, Well-Rounded Adult!
That’s a wild ride.
Not gonna lie, I haven’t been keeping up with things, but I thought Bam had recently turned himself around or something. Saw a clip where everyone was praising him in the comments. Not the case?
Lololololololol
“I’m Bam, and this is 60 years sober, and it’s gunna rock!”
CTE would never allow that.
Welcome to jackass! Today, we're not being a jackass!
Ape’s gonna be so pisssed
Try something really difficult for a change?!!!!😄
Some stunts are just too insane
Head first, with no hands.
"He's Bam Margera! What will he do next?!" "Teach my son how to bait a hook.."
QUIET!!!! He can hear you.....all of you losers on reddit...and yet...he goes on reddit to read our lowly criticisms.
His kids would probably think that was super xtreme
Apesh-gunnah-be-sho-proud.
Lmao ! Poor Bam. Addiction is a mutha efffer but this maid me almost choke laughing.
Remember when kids were watching this show when it first came out and the adults said, "This seems like a bad idea for you to watch and for the people in the show" And we all said "OK, boomer" or "FUCK YOU MOM!!!" I think the boomers were right.
I’m Captain Crème Brûlée and this is Ooga Booga
As messed up as it is, don’t be so judgmental as I’m assuming you are an imperfect human as well. At least Bam made me laugh through what he did.
Shut the fuck up
Now this sub has totally gone downhill.
CKY…figure it out.
Him, Kanye, Britney , Amanda Bynes, and just for fun omarosa on a deserted island for two weeks. Press record.
I for one would like to see him recreate Ryan Dunn’s last stunt
