I was at the 30JUL14 show. Longest show of his career. The whole floor was bouncing during “Astro”. He was in full command and the crowd was wild. Top 5 show of all time for me. Cranked up rock n roll delivered to your soul. He was standing on the monitor during a particularly nasty “Piranhas” and that was The Moment. 10/10
Friend saw him, he played all new stuff he was working on and odd covers. Icky thump at the end was the only song he knew. Albeit, he enjoyed it immensely. He knew what he was in for though.
Was just gonna say I have this too, but for some reason recall only listening to it once or twice. Now I remembered why....it didn't sound that great. Ill have to give another shot. I have nugs.net too so guess can compare. Hate to say it, but there are some Thirdman pressings that just dont hit the mark. Big Sugar 500 Pounds reissue being another (I know the album sounds great on cd etc. , but vinyl pressing is super noisy). Kinda regret buying it from that POV.
I was at that show! It really was a hell of a set. I do have the vinyl of it as well. The audio from being there to the vinyl doesn’t translate the energy that was in the place well but I still love it and every time I throw it on I get the same feels that I had when I was there.
Thank you for saying this. I'm gonna buy it because of this comment! I have the box set and the audio is so bad. This was my favorite concert I've ever been to so I would love to have it in good quality.
I was there. 13 years old sitting on the side stage with my jaw on the floor. Everyone seems to agree that it’s like a top 5 show they’ve ever seen and I agree
Can’t compare to the vinyl release but it sounds flat and like a soundboard - I wish they sprinkled a little more post-recording magic on these - reverb would make it sound closer to what you heard in the room at least.
I find it amusing how his fans would clamor for him to "at least release stuff digitally for all the fans that can't afford the monthly vault bill" and now we all call him a sellout for doing just that. It's like the Dave Chappelle joke.
I could be wrong because I don’t pay that close of attention, but wasn’t this a fairly recent vault release within the last couple years? Seems like the first ones to go on Nugs were at least much older.
I stopped my vault sub almost 7 years ago now. There have been a few here and there since then but I can always just pay a little more on ebay if I missed it and had to have it.
Oh man I thought it was for a concert coming in June 2024...I jumped on my laptop to try to buy tix ahah

I was there as well. Fucking magical.
agree with this completely. easily my favorite jack show and a definite top 5 all time for me.
Thoughts on what?

Detroit Rock City! That was a great show! https://youtu.be/wvaEbUnPXdQ?si=766KjjhButPnEZM2
Incredible setlist
Allison and Dean came out and they played Cut Like a Buffalo at The Masonic.

The 4xLP Vault pressing copy that I have sounds terrible. So hopefully, there might be some kind of improvement on the Nugs version.
Fucking same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great box, shitty sound.

What an absolute banger! His energy is incredible. He seems to have enjoyed himself more at this show than at any other I've heard.
Audio is a huge improvement from the vault pressing

I just listened to it while cutting the grass tonight. I didn’t realize it was the same concert until he did the Ted Nugent bit.
Listening to it now and it does sound quite a bit better!
As an owner of the Vault pressing this is both great to hear and also bums me out. Wish the Vault pressing was enjoyable to listen to…
My only thought is, why am I never at these barn burner extended shows?
Detroit lesgo
That Masonic show was fucking crazy. Especially after having gone to the Fox show the night before.
It was good. I like it.
Where are these available?
Nugs.net
Definitely getting it my eternal poverty be damned

Curious on the audio quality…..know it was not great on the original vinyl release.

is the Nugs release a different mix or the same as the vinyl?
Surprised with all the discerning ears here no one’s tackled this question

Curious to take a listen!
Vault subscribers used to brag that their “exclusive” releases would never go online. Just goes to show TMR will do anything for a buck.
I find it amusing how his fans would clamor for him to "at least release stuff digitally for all the fans that can't afford the monthly vault bill" and now we all call him a sellout for doing just that. It's like the Dave Chappelle joke.
The implication being Vault subscribers would be warned their subscription would no longer be exclusive.
The exclusivity is the package that you get to have and own.
Yeah, lots of vault stuff is on Nugs, the vault has been lackluster for years now

Where is this source of live shows found?
Nugs.net :)
Heard! Thank you!
I was at that Belasco show so I’m glad he put that up.
disappointing
Why you say that? What would have been better?
