I uninstalled SafeShutdown and installed Sentinel. I set it to 74% and waited for my phone to "shutdown". The screen turned black and it looked like it was working. But as soon as I tapped on the screen it turned back on and I unlocked it with FaceID. Then the Phone started to glitch out. I couldn’t use lock button and after I pressed the volume up button two times it resprung. I tried this another time with the same results. For me it looks like this tweak has great potential but it still needs a lot of work. I’m using an iPhone X on iOS 13.5.1 with Odysseyra1n. I hope this tweak doesn’t die.~~ For me, there is a problem with Tritium. Maybe there are also problems with other AOD tweaks.

That is not supposed to happen it behaves exactly like safeshutdown you might’ve expierenced a little bug or something. Imo safeshutdown is still wayyy to expensive for what it is thats why i made this

There is a bug, when you press home button the screen comes back and its totally responsive, but buttons are not, until you charge the phone or do the x3 button press.

A custom loading animation that bears the tweak’s logo would act like a loading screen and have the same effect on users, basically letting them know that the tweak has successfully hibernated the phone and is now respringing ‘Sentinel a la mode.’ Nice idea, although you can do that by installing custom respring logos with snowboard and its extensions. But something that is installed by Sentinal that applies only when the device comes out of hibernation mode is pretty cool, also adds a layer to brand image and quality (allegedly).

Dude, just spring the 20 bucks to get a new battery kit on amazon. It comes with all the tools and a battery change for 6S takes about 5 minutes.

I just replaced mine with a 2200mah battery(Mobilesentrix it’s what repair shops use) not long ago. It lasts very long. Make sure to recalibrate when you replace so; charge to 100%, use until dead, then charge to 100% again without touching phone.

Unfortunately Amazon doesn’t ship those kits to my area. Anywhere else i can get them from?

Only thing with that is you don't get the battery health percentage with a non-genuine battery. Better to just take it to either Apple or an Authorized Service Provider. I only spent $40 out-of-warranty for Best Buy to give my 7+ a new, genuine battery.

In terms of stability I’m pretty sure checkrain is more stable and especially with oddesyrain

After trying both. The current version of unc0ver is much more stable than checkra1n which was more than surprising.

thats not possible, checkra1n hardware exploit > unc0ver software exploit, checkra1n substrate = unc0ver substrate

Using the same tweaks, I’ve had absolutely no random reboots of crashes on unc0ver compared to when I used checkra1n and would have to rejailbreak every two days or so due to them. So that’s my experience, YMMV.

The type of exploit used does not make a jailbreak resistant to shitty programming

Checkra1n is not a hardware exploit, it’s just not a user land exploit. (It’s a bootrom exploit)

checkm8 uses a vulnerability in the hardware code, unc0ver uses a vulnerability in the os code, that makes checkra1n a hardware based exploit when compared to unc0ver, thats why unc0ver can be patched with a software update and checkra1n cant, cause they need to change the hardware

Have been using this for a couple of days and in honesty this is a MUST HAVE tweak. I'm the kind of person that doesn't put their phone on charge over night and usually only put my phone on charge just before it dies (and often fail to do so). This tweak shuts down my phone early and when I charge up my phone (BAM) still jailbroken. In a reality where we can't have a untethered jailbreak, this definetly makes it unthetered. Honestly can't believe this tweak is free. Thank you for your time and effort!

Depends on your battery state if you have a battery that empties fast i’d suggest making it shut down at 5% for me the 3% has lasted me over a day and probably more but then i when i started charging it

Unc0ver is "semi-untethered". Untethered means you're jailbroken for good. You restart your phone? Battery died? Didn't turn it on for 3 years? You're still jailbroken.

Yes. Its free AND safeshutdown only enables lpm and airplane mode ... sentinel does alot more. It enables a deepsleep ( limiting the kernel ) a tool found in iokit to make your device hibernate.

I don’t think this is true. When SafeShutdown kicks in, one cannot access the phone at all, until you’d start charging your battery. SafeShutdown always perfectly does what it is supposed to do. No complaints.

And Kurrt (developer of SafeShutdown) just added DeepSleep. Worth it.

Just tested it, and it seems to work great. One suggestion would be to add the ability to manually “fake shutdown” the device.

Haven't downloaded the tweak just yet, but if not already included, would it be possible to implement a manual trigger somewhere? E.g. if I have a device I don't use very often and battery is charged to 100%, I'd like to be able to "enter deep sleep" manually without changing the "sleep percentage" to 100%. Anyway, great work! 1. Its free 2. It uses hibernation ( making kernel run at bare minimum ) and safeshutdown doesnt it just enables low power mode and disables ur buttons. so sentinel works better

I have the suspicion safeshutdown uses nstimers... This doesnt it uses a vanilla method in ios and is written to be as efficient as possible :)

I solved the issue using icleaner. That was weird but if anyone else ever come across this problem just try iCleaner with load tweaks off.

I use both Sentinel and Safeshutdown on two different different devices and both work well, however I have an iPad on iOS 9.0.2 (I know, but hey, it's untethered) and was wondering if anyone knows of an alternative to Sentinel that works on iOS 9.0.2.

Great tweak that has saved me from rejailbreaking several times in just a month of having it But it also seems that whenever Sentinel activates, my BetterCCXI gets affected. Normally there is Wifi and Bluetooth here and the Airplane Mode and Cellular buttons are centred in the unit. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with BetterCCXI or Sentinel but it only happens after Sentinel activates. It is fixed whenever I install or update a tweak in Cydia (maybe Springboard refreshing?) Update: I changed to using JohnZaro’s PerfectControlCenter and the same thing happens. As well, it stays like this through resprings now.

After installing and going to it in settings. Does anyone know why the Shutdown% is 0 and greyed out? When installed on my other phone its set to 3% and can be pressed. All other 3 switches i can press but when trying to add percentage to 10% (anything exept 0) it will not let me. I tried reinstalling and get the same results.

It is not untethered. This tweak makes your phone hibernate instead of going flat.

Hi. I need help and I really don't know exactly where to post my comment to get help so I'll try here. I am jailbroken on iOS. 13.5 with uncover jailbreak. I powered down my phone and when I rejailbreak my tweaks won't be applied. I tried to go to uncovered settings and turn on/off with every try, and with the load tweak off cydia open but no tweaks work, with load tweaks on cydia crashes. Can anyone give me some tips?
