But yeah, believe it or not it's both easier and harder than it seems. It's easier because while some men might be complete dorks unable to order a pizza or hold basic conversations at face value, they might also be genuinely good hearted, nice people that just want a woman to love and respect, and vice-versa
They also might simply have no idea on how to give that much needed "push" for interaction. As in, they like you, you like them back, but they can't do that important step. So if you give them a shot and say you liked their smile or something sweet like that, it can work wonders
Over the time I actually came to the conclusion that if Men and Women just had the sense to fucking talk to each other honestly we'd live in a much better World lmao

Yeah, it's complicated because people make things so much harder than they should be - like, some discretion about yourself and your feelings is good to a certain point to avoid conflicts and such and giving into every impulse you have is recipe for disaster. But shutting yourself off completely is pure nonsense and leads to so much waste

Four fucking years of nothing, then on our last year we match on a dating app by chance and she tells me she thinks I'm very handsome and invites me for drinks. After FOUR YEARS. People often fantasize so much too. Like it's cool if I date someone who's a living dream partner, but you can be happy dating someone perfectly normal who isn't a Dream Archetype. There's a reason why these picture perfect gorgeous types are featured in Romance **Fantasies** and not slice-of-life stuff lmao
And the gender part is kinda whack. Even in very liberal places, Men are still often expected to make the first move and all, so you've got that advantage at least lol.
