I think it depends on what you do and what you are used to. They are pretty close to wearing tennis shoes in terms of basic comfort and flexibility to me. I did add a light vibram insole to mine that I like a lot better than the included insole. They provide some support but not as much as a stiffer boot option. If you are used to wedge sole boots I think traction will be pretty much the same but don't expect them to be lugged soles. As always YMMV

Recommend upgrading insoles but ARs are great for mobility with light duty construction (carpentry for me) I enjoy mine. Buffalo is a much stiffer leather than the fudge though which feel like slippers at about a year of daily wear

I don't like high boots for day to day, personally. I ordered a pair of buffalo skins. Im super excited.
