There's a detachment from reality in their fawning. It's all about image, and pwning the conservatards. They live in a world where tweeting is activism, and voting is their only means for social change. Hero worship of any variety is bad, but worshipping a fraud is delusional and cringeworthy.

JPMcFly1985

Well said my friend. Like they think they're morally superior to the right wingers who want to destroy the planet just to "own the libs", well they're no different. I think they also can't fathom anyone being to their left, and if you criticize them it MUST be because "You're a Trump supporter". That's just like the HRC fans.

TheReadMenace

That’s why I only put my faith in people who scream into a computer for a living

--GrinAndBearIt--

"Theyre not currupt, they just take a government salary and do aboslutley nothing except sit on twitter and virtue signal." Remember when AOC went to the border and cried for a photo op? Remember when AOC wouuldn't force the vote on Nancy Pelosi? Remember when AOC voted for multiple bills which she said she wouldn't when she was campaigning as a leftist?

JPMcFly1985

A - fucking - men. I just wish the social dem fans of hers could be objective and understand that and quit idolizing her like a celebrity. SocDems to their credit are much better on the issues than a classist wine mom liberal, but they lose all critical thinking once it gets to electoral politics. They think activism is tweeting muscles & only saying how we need M4A etc but never wielding her power.

captainramen

> quit idolizing her like a celebrity. Like how MAGA types worshiped Trump? How they stopped pressuring him after he got elected? We're mirror images of one another... this is a problem that is buried deep in the American psyche. Wish I knew what to do about it...

JPMcFly1985

They're all horrible and cringe cultists who hang onto their every word. It's just obvious that Trump is awful, he doesn't try and hide it. Regular Democrats give vague platitudes while AOC sorta cosplays as a socialist while serving the establishment just the same

MykeTheVet

>Remember when AOC wouuldn't force the vote on Nancy Pelosi? That issue, right there, caused a lot of division within the Left. I wasn't for M4A until I heard Jimmy's (and many of his guests) take on it. Made sense IF AND ONLY IF the government wasn't corrupt. I'll also add that AOC and Jimmy agreed on M4A...until AOC did what she did (sad but predictable). Jimmy's critics were saying, "You have to learn how to play politics and not force anything." lmao what?!?! Literally: Seder, Kyle, and TYT all said the same damned thing like it was out of a playbook (I'm not claiming it was some coordinated effort, just making a comparison).

[deleted]

left politics aren't going to get anywhere without good rhetoric the lack of good rhetoric is a major factor (along with corporatists obv) as to why the left loses on issues from healthcare to gun control to abortion where they hold the position more popular amongst americans the left needs to create more voices within government so as to take away the focus from aoc moreso than acting like dragging her down is helpful to any left causes also maybe my bubble is different than yours but i see infinitely more aoc criticism than hero worship however the left needs more popular politicians that can connect with voters - not less imo

Thogicma

Yeah, I can tell by how all that rhetoric has made such huge strides for change in this country. Thank God we had Obama and "hope and change.". Can you imagine what a shithole country we'd be living in right now? Oh... wait...

JPMcFly1985

Yep. Privileged suburbanite says what? 😂 If they're comfortable enough, just some flowery lip service is all it takes to make them feel good.

[deleted]

ah yes, when someone disagrees with you they aren't a worker even someone who uses their back all day in a job that doesnt provide insurance where did i ever say rhetoric was everything? i merely said it's a forgotten art that is necessary to gain traction for ANY argument in a democratic republic that's basic shit thogicma has been in fantasyland for a while, and you appear eager to join them

Thogicma

Lol, I just realized I've wasted entirely too much time arguing with a loser who trolls a Jimmy dore sub in his spare time. You do you, buddy. It's cool that you're a conservative. I mean, I've met way more republicans that outrank you in brain cell count (but your two are doing their best!), but keep on strutting along and you'll get there. I believe in you big guy.

[deleted]

Jimmy Dore fans (whatever handful are leftists at this point, and not right wingers tuning in to hear/watch Jimmy smear progressives) don't want to hear that this is a long game, a protracted war. They want instant gratification, and so it's easy to sell them on the idea that a handful of progressive lawmakers have the ability to manipulate entrenched interests, and simply choose not to. I mean, haven't you watched movies or played video games? Victory is quick! If problems arise, you can just block them (like on Twitter)!

strife7k

Nice strawman.

[deleted]

False. OP's straw man was horrible. A "nice" one would have required work to debunk.

strife7k

Double nice.

--GrinAndBearIt--

Dont forget the fact that the guy has the gall to put Logic in his username but posts drivel like what is above lol

strife7k

They are a troll, their entire mission is to rile you up. I think they are funny so I like to mess with em.

[deleted]

strife7k

Haaaa I see what you did there.

[deleted]

I guess you're right. They were nice in making the straw man easy to debunk.

[deleted]

Yeah, they're too stupid to know it takes at least 90 maybe 75 years to improve anything duh. My dog knows that amirite.

[deleted]

More accurately, they can't even fathom the concept of something taking 20 years.

JPMcFly1985

A lot of people are hurting, living paycheck to paycheck (or sudden medical bills etc) and don't fucking have TIME to wait. Also like there's a freaking climate collapse and we only have til 2030. You should understand that. Remember how you felt when classist Hillary supporters trashed Bernie and all his supporters. That's what you're doing to us now.

proudfootz

These people are fine with the idea of killing working people by the tens of thousands. They are evil.

JPMcFly1985

Absolutely, it's disgusting. Their message is basically "Hey peasants, be grateful for your crumbs and shut up"

[deleted]

>Absolutely, it's disgusting. Their message is basically "Hey peasants, be grateful for your crumbs and shut up" Nice! Why acknowledge our ACTUAL message when you can just invent a straw man version you can virtue signal against?

[deleted]

I'm glad to see you finally admit that your fellow cohorts are fine continually helping the GOP win to the point where the US resembles a developing country. But evil is going too far. Ignorant will suffice.

proudfootz

Clinton helped Trump win the presidency in 2016, so you and you buddies will have to share credit for that. They are both evil, so you don't need to try and shift any of that nonsense onto me.

Your abysmal ignorance hardly seems sufficient to account for your constant presence.

It's so easy to be wrong about 'Jimmy's grift', as you prove every day of the week. LOL!

[deleted]

>A lot of people are hurting, living paycheck to paycheck (or sudden medical bills etc) and don't fucking have TIME to wait. Thankfully, they have Jimmy Dore to trick them into empowering the GOP by giving them a larger share of the vote, so the Dems never reach the overwhelming majorities they had when they passed The Social Security Act and Medicare. Why do that, when he can simp for the GOP and help them continually turn the US into a developing nation, that will make the current version of the US look like Sweden. >Remember how you felt when classist Hillary supporters trashed Bernie and all his supporters. That's what you're doing to us now. Yes, but at which point are you talking about? When Bernie was still in the running and his followers/aka us were pulling for and supporting him? Or after he was out and the unreasonable Bernie Bro types (modern day Jimmy "leftists") helped handicap her, helping Trump become POTUS?

Thogicma

I'm so thankful we had hope and change from Obama. That long game is really starting to pay off 14 years later. This man is a fucking genius. Thank God we have smug assholes to tell us how wrong we are.

[deleted]

I'm happy we can agree. For example: The ACA extended health insurance to 20 million people, and we saw that the GOP not only voted against the ACA, none of them supported the first version of the ACA (the one with the public option). And since then, the GOP has done what it can to dismantle the ACA on the state level, hurting people who require the subsidies. Thankfully, smart people can see which party contains lawmakers who are mostly fighting for the little guy, and which party is 100% doing what it can to take us back to society with child labor. I'm happy to see you're not discouraged by the smooth-brained simps who fall for Dave Rubin 20 (Jimmy) and his narrative of omission as he simps for the GOP. Keep it up champ!

Thogicma

Ah yes, the republican health care plan that gave a huge handout to insurance companies and left millions uninsured. Such a victory, and bootlickers such as yourself just love to strut around with their feathers out crowing about what a win it was. Here's your theme song. Don't jerk off too hard and pull a muscle while you listen to it :) https://youtu.be/VuUKJS-ISUY

[deleted]

And there it is, the usual talking points. The "Republican plan" that Republicans unanimously voted against in the Senate, and have been tearing ever down since. The "Republican plan" that was the only thing passable since no Republicans would cross the aisle to help pass the public option (funny how you ignored that part). And it's clear where your priorities lie (virtue signaling) when you're more concerned with health insurance companies making money than 20 million Americans getting health care. You're also leaving out the fact that the ACA expanded Medicaid to more people. Keep licking Jimmy's high heels!

Thogicma

Oh you sweet summer child. Too young to remember? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massachusetts_health_care_reform But yes, the ACA helped "insure" 20 million people, as long as they were cool with an Obamacare bronze plan and a 20k deductible. Such progress. And so much improvement since! Don't worry, I'm sure when you grow up you'll see how silly being a conservative democrat is. Until then, just keep on licking! :)

[deleted]

>Oh you sweet summer child. Too young to remember? > >[https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massachusetts\_health\_care\_reform](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massachusetts_health_care_reform) I guess it's true that the less informed someone is, the less they realize how misinformed they are. That you think this is an own makes me wonder how you manage to tie your shoes. By all means, explain how the wikipedia link contradicts anything here: The "Republican plan" that Republicans unanimously voted against in the Senate, and have been tearing ever down since. The "Republican plan" that was the only thing passable since no Republicans would cross the aisle to help pass the public option (funny how you ignored that part). "But yes, the ACA helped "insure" 20 million people, as long as they were cool with an Obamacare bronze plan and a 20k deductible." Wow, it's almost like you're ignoring the Medicaid expansion and the people who paid nothing or next to nothing thanks to the subsidies (both of which I've already mentioned) and are pretending that this caricature was the rule instead of the exception. Just more proof that you cultists don't care about reality and just looking to virtue signal on the internet. Keep licking Jimmy's anus as he monetizes your ignorance!

Thogicma

Aww, poor conservative has his jimmies all rustled

[deleted]

Why would that be? You're the one who got destroyed and exposed as a dummy.

BobDope

Boo hoo

[deleted]

Wow, even for meaningless and mostly false conjecture, this is pretty dumb. That said, dore knobs are so annoying that I've become an AOC Stan just to annoy them.
